Oh Katie, the transformation is magnificent! She looks SO trim & elegant now. You're truly a master at your craft & have encouraged me to begin painting small pieces. 💕
Vampire teeth! Hahaha In all seriousness- this is *chef’s kiss*. Sooooo sophisticated looking. I’ve never used Chateau in this capacity- looks amazing! The handles- icing on the cake.
That bottom apron reconfig made all the difference. When I first saw those dracula teeth, I knew I wasn't going to like this makeover if they stayed. Beautiful and better than new, as usual.
I JUST STARTED WATCHING YOU AND I’VE GOT TO SAY, YOU’RE REALLY,REALLY FLIPPING FABULOUS AT YOUR WORKMANSHIP. I’VE BEEN BINGE WATCHING AND LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT. THANK YOU KATIE!
Oh my gosh! I can’t thank you enough for the details about using Frog tape. I was waffling on project for fear of bleed. I went out and got some Frog tape and am back on track. I love the dresser you did. Your videos are so informative.
You started with some techniques that I am not a big fan of but I am a fan of yours. I trusted the process and you delivered big time. Those lines are so crisp. Well done😊
Gorgeous!! You make it look easy which is the mark of a master. Thank you for sharing your work with us, it's always a treat for me. And now I'm hungry for donuts for some reason. 🍩🤔
Great vision. Was doubtful til I saw the colorings and how all balanced with the handles, proportions of would and paint. Thank you for tutoring me. All if us really. Stay well and without fires in your life.
I’m not gonna lie, I wasn’t initially sold on the colour dip idea. But if anyone can pull this off, it’s K Scott. And it looks quite classy, very desirable. And I am always always impressed with the staging. Lovely job. ❤
Wow. Thank you the tips on Frog tape. I use it to tape off walls and ceilings but had no idea about the moisture activated glue. That's so good to know!
I resisted watching this because I thought it was a brown paint makeover - I have a hate of brown colour generally and paint finishes in particular - except natural wood finishes - so I was very pleasantly surprised!! Great job🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This came out so incredible and I can’t believe the timing of it. I have a piece I’m working on that is almost identical to this, I ALSO trimmed off the bottom edge, and I ALSO wanted to do a dip-dye style on it! This video helped me SOOOO much, thank you!!!
WOW!!! The dresser looks great!!! Those paint lines!!! I didn’t know FROGTAPE is water-activated! Thank you so much for the tip about using a top coat, too, to achieve fabulous crisp paint lines! Great tutorial, Katie!!! Thank you so much!!!
Best tape pull I've seen in a while. You look very fit and I like your hair. I meant to comment that a few videos a go. This is a great transformation.
Thank u for the detailed instructions on the hardware jig. Best vid i ever saw on that aspect. Thought i wouldnt like the dipped top drawer but then it turned out beautifully!
Nice!!! removing the swirly bottom (vampire teeth) made a huge difference. It looks lovely now! And the exposed wood bits are just the right shade - not too orangey! I also love your workshop - that glimpse of the carefully prepared extra sanding sheets was jealousy-provoking!! Another great video!Thank you and kindest regards, k
Hi Katie, beautiful. So pleased the dracula teeth were removed. I always learn from your videos, when you restore it always looks like a beautiful dance❤
Gorgeous! The top at the end... it's one of those you have to touch, it's so smooth. Someone is gonna love this! Also your manicure is quite pretty Edit to add: I did learn some frog tape tricks from this!!
Love your channel and upbeat personality young lady! Always look forward to your creations too. This one turned out beautiful!! Blessings form the middle of California!!!!
Love the colours you used, and the handles look great. Once you said why you were cutting the base down, I couldn't unsee the vampire fangs after that😆. I wondered why you didn't sand down the raised wood fibres earlier, so thank you for explaining that. It was very helpful👍
Oh my gosh, that turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL❣You did such a wonderful job with your lines! That is definitely a thing that would make me nuts, if the lines didn't match up. Great job! 👏👏👏
I painted cabinets for several years & we found that adding some paint to the top coat helped w/fuzzies on light colored painted surfaces & created a smooth uncompromised finish on dark painted surfaces.
I admit I fast forward through your video just to see how you were applying the finishes. I love the work you do and the only complaint. I have is when you were sprang the faces of the dresser drawers so close Together.😁 I think you are very inspirational
Beautiful transformation, the colors and hardware are lovely. I purchased the cabinet hardware jig several months ago when I was working on a maple dresser, it is amazing. I hope anyone who hasn't purchased one follows your link, it is so worth the price.
Greetings Katie from Owen Sound, Ontario! :-) Brilliant re-design - love Maple and you have done this piece proud. Love the Chateau colour and the Algonquin wash. Yay! I so look forward to viewing your videos on Saturdays - makes a lovely segment in a relaxing day. I would like to ask you where I can purchase the little navy blue electric drill you use to scew on the drawer screws etc. :-) Thanks so much for your ongoing sharing. Love your pieces - best wishes from the Bruce Peninsula! :-)
Beautiful colour and such precise work. You completely changed the flavour of the old standard maple dresser that so many of us had in our homes. Sadly my OCD would kick in and I would have to finish the paintwork even though your lines were bang on straight and accurate. This dresser will be well loved I am sure.
I don't know about painting with my drawers in, but I always paint with my drawers on. 😉😄😘 The dresser turned out lovely.
Oh Katie, the transformation is magnificent! She looks SO trim & elegant now. You're truly a master at your craft & have encouraged me to begin painting small pieces. 💕
I enjoyed your video a lot! ❤

Vampire teeth! Hahaha
In all seriousness- this is *chef’s kiss*.

Not a fan of the wash look, but always a fan of your process (and your personality!).
Love the dipped look. Also loved the matching manicure!
Like your description of “vampire teeth”😂 looks much better! So much easier to vacuum under too

Getting rid of that scalloped edge sure changed the entire look.
