@@TheCellarTrueCrime - So creepy because: if it had been a meal or two from earlier, then her body would have digested it. So it PROVES that she clearly ingested (whether willingly or not) a really bizarre amount, of only one single food, either RIGHT before she was killed, OR: leading up to the time she was killed but when she was in a state of extreme distress to not be able to digest things normally. Really creepy and brutal detail from such a sad case... I wish that the forensic tools available now had been there to solve her case at the time this evil crime happened to her.... 💔
Yeah. 💔 Because it means (due to the rate of metabolism / digestion) that either she was force fed them as part of a torture and/or part of her death, OR that even if she just was a person who ate a more-than-usual amount of potatoes, that it showed she was in a prolonged state of extreme fear for several days which dysregulated the flow of normal digestion. And either explanation is really traumatically sad.
That is a huge amount of potatoes. We’re they chewed or swallowed whole? That piece of evidence is the key. Nobody can eat that many potatoes without suffocating or choking.
As a former NIU student, where Donna was found was basically no man's land, even in the 90's, when I went there. It sure could have been different, but I find it very odd that a group of students would hide alcohol in the middle of nowhere when there where much closer middle of nowhere places to hide it that weren't so far out of the way of everything. It just makes me wonder if someone in that group knew something, even a little, maybe wanted her found.
@@TheCellarTrueCrime If you don't know the campus as a student and are just looking at maps, you wouldn't really understand how absurd a place that is for a beer drop. It's just so incredibly inconvenient in a place that has so many much more convenient spots. It just strikes me as extremely weird, personally knowing the landscape.
@ankylosaruswrecks3189 my thoughts also I thought that strange a beer drop then her body yes I think they should of looked a little closer to the group
@@melissamarioth9554 If they killed her, why tell the cops and make themselves suspect? If I killed someone I would not draw attention to myself, I'd get the heck out of it and not bring the cops to where I had killed her, and what was the significance of the potatoes? Students carrying a sack of spuds around, and making her eat them?
I wonder if the coat she was wearing was saved and still in evidence?! DNA could finally give Donna and her family the justice they deserve but it's been a long time and things were done and evidence handled alot different back then!
So, 5 pounds of potatoes is approximately 15 medium potatoes. Eaten over 48 hours thats only seven each day, 3.5 each meal. Maybe thats the only food the kidnapper could make her. Were there any potatoe farms near by? The kids leaving the beer far out is interesting but maybe they hid drugs with it too so needed it to be really out the way. Her shoes, coat and bag may have been taken as trophies, but why bother giving her another coat? She was dead, so it was pointless unless they thought no one would notice it wasnt hers. Either way, poor girl.
3.5 potatoes is so much food for one meal. And if you’re being held captive I’d imagine that your appetite is less than normal because of the stress. But it’s also hard to think about a motive to force feed potatoes to someone so it really is baffling.
I wonder if those kids ever hid any beer again ...
This is awful that it's been half a century with nothing further gained in this case.
Your voice is so mesmerizing, I could listen to your storytelling all the time. Your fans appreciate you.
Well thank you I appreciate the compliment! Glad your enjoying everything

Maybe? I didn’t consider that but it could make logical sense
