About 8 years ago Bob was playing in New Orleans and since I was a big fan since the late 70's and that I have not seen him perform live before, I couldn't pass up the chance on seeing him perform. So moving forward my wife and I was at our hotel room in New Orleans the afternoon before his concert and we meet some of Bob's personal friends from Michigan staying at the same hotel. We hung out with them at the hotel, and had a few drinks. They insisted that my wife and I would go with them to the concert and boy I am glad we did. Needless to say, they had front row tickets with two to spare. Bob performance was great as I expected, but when the concert was over we went back stage and met Bob and his band. Let me tell you, he was so down to earth and just as nice as anyone could imagine. Bob seemed just as excited to meet a real cajun boy from south Louisiana as I was to meet him. He was a class act. He even invited us all to the restaurant where he had a private room reserved and had dinner with him along with some of his band. What I night to remember.
what a man! real rock n roll is not just a kind of music it is a lifestyle, a concept, based on freedom, humility, love for the life and nature, respect for the next, before being a great artist you have to be a great man, maybe is for this reason that nowadays there is no more good music 'cause these values have been lost. thanks for sharing your amazing experience. rock on
My biggest claim to fame is that Bob Seger held me when I was a baby. This was back in the early 70s when he played at the bar my parents owned in northern Michigan. Your story is so much better. I have always wanted to meet him and see if he remembers playing at my parent's bar.

I would play up on cripple creek(The band) I was definitely not into the same music as my friend's. I just wish I saw more concerts before so many greats passed away.
