Yes the ammo is made by the same company that makes Remington, that's why it says Remington on the box.
Thank you for the review, after a bunch of youtube videos, I feel more comfortable with my decision to have owned my Bersa Thunder 380 for personal protection.

Just a FYI: Mecgar makes an 8 round magazine, plus one in the chamber gives you a nice capacity of 9. I use the Ruger ARX 65 grain frangible round and feel very confident when I carry or answer the door at night. Anyway, nice video on a great gun.Thanks.
Is the magazine of the thunder 380 same size as the firestorm and are they interchangeable? I see that the thunders are 8rd magazines as opposed to just 7 on the firestorm.
I have the 380 with the 15 round mag that dude fits my hand like a glove I have several weapons but this sucker is perfect for concealed Carrie and protection I love it

the bersa is nice. I got a bersa lady for my girlfriend. its now her everyday carry. She likes it, it shoot well. and small witch she likes. I live in Maryland too, and it was a real pain in the ass to get my carry permit. my edc is a glock 19. great video man. always good to see a fellow Marylander on here
The extractor looked a little rounded off, did you do this in the polishing that you talked about? Was it new when you got it? Mine extractor is very sharp at the end, should it be polish off? thanks

I went ahead and gave this guy a 2nd chance since the first time I rented one (around May 2023), it failed to fire after 5 rounds with me. I went to the range yesterday and I actually had fun with it. It was snappy and gave me the discoloration on the web of my thumb (after about 50 rounds in a row while rapid firing one magazine) and at first I was inaccurate with it. After about 20 shots though, I was able to be more accurate with it hitting the bullseye (started with that rapid fire). So now this gun passed my test and is a candidate for it to become my .380 pistol.
Yea, the pistol requires a bit of a breakin. Also keep in mind magazines and ammo can affect things too. Hope you have a great day!!!

Also, any tips of how to make this gun a more comfortable shooter after firing more than 50 rounds with it without causing discoloration at the web of the hand between the thumb and index finger?

Looks like u modified your firestorm a little, are all thunder parts compatible with firestorm. I want to add silver accent pieces to my firestorm

Since the box of ammo says "Remington" on it...I'd say it's a safe bet they made the UMC ammo.

Yep, this is why the professional channels like Sootch, Nutnfancy, MAC, and Forgotten Weapons etc. research, rehearse, and edit.

just saw a bersa matte combat 380 that has caught my eye. are you familar with it?
sounded like you need some Slide Glide brand grease on your slide. I got it on my Bersa and its got no slide frame contact noise now.

My friend has one of these. He said when he puts a mag in it racks itself. Is that normal for the Bersa Firestorm .380?
Mine does the same. It's a manufacturing defect, most likely.

I know you live in Maryland where it is hard to get a concealed carry permit but you seem like you know a lot about guns have you tried
put in some Glaser or Hornady Critial Defense and you got a decent cc weapon
Can i ask what problems you were having with the gun because i have the same gun and it fails to feed on the last round of the magazine. It shoots all the other rounds fine but it pushes the bullet up on the last round to high and it gets caught in between the slide and the barrel. Does anyone else have this problem and if so what can be the issue

is it with all types of magazines, or only one magazine?
it could be the spring in your magazine has too much force that it's pouring on the last bullet
alternatively, if it's a gun defect, bersa has a lifetime warranty, you can get it fixed

For safety the first thing you do on a starter change is disconnect the battery. On some starters when you are taking them off it is easy to hit the positive lead with a wrench and ground it out!
