I'd rather like to think this is a sequel, or even a spin-off of the short "Sunday" --same actor, same apartment, same school, same beloved one's building, the beloved one in "Sunday" and the dead brother here are the same actor. In that way, at least, I could forget the "straight quota" part of this story and accept the rest.
