ABOUT THE GAME:
A Way Out is an exclusively co-op adventure where you play the role of one of two prisoners making their daring escape from prison.
I hope you guys read these comments. I am disabled from several health conditions and have horrible depression. Some days I can barely get out of bed. But watching your videos have helped me feel a little bit better from my dark thoughts. Thank you. I laugh with yiu guys trolling each other and i haven’t done that much lately. I don’t have any friends and as pathetic as it sounds I imagine hanging out with you guys, thanks. I know no one will read this I guess. Just wanted to tell you you make a difference in peoples lives.

Grand Theft references any theft over a specific amount. It varies from state to state and local municipalities
Me and my friend played a lot of games together. And years later I still think about how special the memories of us playing ‘A Way Out’ are and how it made us better friends, it tested our resolve and put pressure on our ability to compromise on ways to solve problems. In the end we came out better friends. It’s thanks to the magic of a game like this that really makes you and your co-player feel like you need to survive this together.
I hope you guys finish this play through because it’s absolutely worth it. Try and get as sucked in as possible. Really make it seem like you two are in this prison and you need to work together to get out. You’ll never forget the journey you take.
Also since the story is branching you can play it multiple times and have different things happen.

Hanging out with you two is the best part of my week! Thank you for taking me along with you on this new adventure. Could watch this like a movie! By the way, i heard the guards talking about "The Carson Show." Johnny Carson was a well-loved American comedian who had a late-night tv show that ran from 1962 to 1992. Judging by the clothes and telephone i'd say this takes place in the mid 70s to early 80s. Once we get to see some cars i bet we can pinpoint the years much better. Much love and appreciation!

Best part was Fisk ruining the immersion not by saying "imagine a horror game like this?" but by following up with "oh, sorry, immersion" 😂

You guys kept looking for clues as to when this was taking place. At about 1:24:00, one of the guards asks another if he caught the Carson show last night. The last episode of "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" aired in May of 1992, so that at least gives you a "No later than" date.
29:15 made me choke on my drink. The way Fisk just starts screaming instead of coughing
You're not doing a Shawshank, what you're doing is more like the Alcatraz escape.
I like the different nods to different famous prisons though, the Johnny Cash poster is a nod to San Quentin, the way the warden looks exactly the same as Bob Gunton from Shawshank, I'm from the UK but I've been to Alcatraz it's incredible and very sobering.
At 3:30 you said something about imagine what that must be like going to prison and knowing that that's your home for the next 10-14 years....my husband's mom has been in prison since 1990....1st degree capital murder-life sentence without the possibility of parole.....she killed her husband....it was premeditated....he was a correctional officer at the jail....my husband was 3 at the time and has 2 sisters....one was 14 months old and the other was 8 years old at the time.....they were raised by their grandparents-(dads parents)....whom sadly both passed away 3 days apart in 2020 from covid....my husband is a huge fan of your channel and watching your channel at the time they passed was one of the very few things that would keep.his mind distracted and his sanity somewhat present....so thank you for creating the content you create sir...much respect
I might have absolute trash knowledge about games but this is the most intelligent and innovative use of multiplayer and story telling I have seen so far. The story pacing, the voice acting, the graphics all put together so well.
I love how its an emotional scene at the beginning and Fisk and Fooster are just complementing Vincents beard

I feel like this is the perfect co-op game for these two
This game kinda looks like The Shawshank Redemption.
1. The beginning with the head guard beating up an inmate after asking about when they get visitors.
2. The warden saying "welcome to..." just like warden Norton saying "welcome to Shawshank!".
3. Fred's name sounding like Red's name and also being the guy who can smuggle things into the prison.
4. Fred giving Leo a book with the chisel in it is like old Brooks giving Andy a book with the rock hammer.
5. Escaping during the rainstorm and using sounds of lightning as background camouflage for loud sounds.
I think the movie's that inspired this game are Escape from Alcatraz and The Shawshank Redemption.
I love the whole "how come you get a lovely wife who visits you!?" Main difference between the two wives is one being HEAVILY pregnant LOL. Little bit of a huge clue there lads.
Swedish director Josef Fares, who directed this game, has a brother who is a famous Swedish actor - Fares Fares - who is also an absolutely dead ringer for the character Leo. Coincidence? I think NOT!
Josef Fares also created/directed the game "It takes two" - a really awesome, and dark sometimes, game.

I played it twice, with different outcomes both times. This game is the definition of co-op play
All the beating he took, and made a fuss about the needle the nurse had.
This game was a cool experience and could of been so much better if the expanded the story in the prison and had the escape progress over months
I did 6 years in prison, I can’t believe how accurate it is in there lol makes me feel like I’m still there for a second, not in a bad way, it’s been some time now

Dorchester Penniternary is king of like this prison...I served 3 years when I was 20-23...the feeling of going through the gates isn't bad, not even the drive...nothing sets in till that moment you walk the cell block....and the guards leave ya alone...you come to find out your roommate is serving life indefinite for multiple murders...
The bus ride is surprisingly calming and kind of a reality check all at once

1st thing 1st you have to strip & get searched & shower after you get all your shackles off

This is basically Prison Break Series, without michaels tattoo and other characters combined into a game. But u guys did it well. Now you guys are on the run. Then fooster got his son Timmy only because carol didnt care to visit him yes and you Fisk. Then you guys got into a plane. Then that plan crash landed in Forest. 😂 Now you guys have to find Timmy.

if you and fisk love these type of two player games you should look at the Dark Pictures Anthology games -- they're a bit more horror-esk than this seems so far but same dual story mode i think you and fisk would enjoy together!
