Purchased this last night and was expecting more but it seems the libraries are integrated into one keyboard using about 3-4 pads for each kit. Kinda of but layered with a few other percussions I have on Kontakt, Apocalypse Percussion by Soundiron but again... there's only 3-4 pads for each kit! It also does not appear on my Kontakt 6 but does on Kontakt7 Player? So much for a refund yet I'm sure I can make some use of it as this may work to give some UMPH to other percussions smashes like an ending or emphasizing a certain hit. I still am hoping to find a full Roto Toms kit from someone.
Hey there, sorry for any confusion; the product page does say that it requires Kontakt 7, but it does work in the FREE version as you mentioned. In the video you're commenting on here I show all of the sounds carefully, which are also listed in the manual - there are a about 2 dozen drum hits total, each with deep dynamics and RRs. Keep in mind Apocalypse Percussion Ensemble is $199, APE Element is $99, and APE Micro is $39 - our Colossal Hybrid Drums is $29. Everything in the Special Reserves Series is designed to deliver one narrow type of sound REALLY effectively, and really affordably!
thank you for recording this in a smaller space, maybe a drum room? or something similar. Am a drummer myself. I really prefer percussion recorded in a drum booth then add my reverb space as an effect.
All of the instruments are in one patch, as shown in the video! There are several dozen drum hits, each with lots of dynamics and round robins, split between an ensemble drum kit, a world drum ensemble, and mega tom ensemble.
