Oh yeah, I remember old Ganondalf, the one who had save ET from the planet Namek so that the Timelords could stop that space freeway from being built by the Mechanicus.
I didn't love it when Rey and Ben Skywalker came in to save him(obviously because Luke SHOULD have been powerful enough to get out of the converison center himself) but I did appreciate the continuity from episode 10 and how the klingon fleet arrived with Chewee to cover their escape. I still Can't believe he'd been negotiating that team up from the start! Han would have been proud 😢
Honestly, if it were anyone other than Bishop threatening babies, I'd cry foul. But it's Bishop. The X-Men's resident Child Safety Risk since Hope Summers.
It's actually a bit tragic to witness how he looks down at the trigger, knowing that he would have GLADLY killed children to save Mutantkind in his youth. However, he was best suited for that mission, since Cable would never agree to something so dark.
Bishop was nuts in that storyline. He wiped out whole continents with WMDs just to box Hope in. Eventually retconned it that Bishop was possessed by an evil ghost bear (yes, really).
@@ViraL_FootprinT.ex.e Apparently these demon bears were a big deal back in the '80s New Mutants comic. So it's not like the retcon comes out of nowhere; except these hell ursa haven't been in a book in decades.
Sometimes I wish some of these massive marvel storylines would overlap. For instance, the children of the vault come out while the King in Black event was going on mixed in with the whole mutant/avenger/inhuman war event. Just imagine the chaos for a second…🤔
Of course conflict is needed. But (they aren’t the good guys) they could’ve just teamed up easily if they didn’t want to just be the controlling factor.
I question if the Children of the Future were in the right, they had an edict to make the humans advanced but as cooperative ants, as for what's coming there is always something coming. Orcus base destroyed again with no death of Moria for a do over they can become a shadow organization, how does that work wasn't Safire a spy aboard the mother Mold, aiding the last of mutant resistance as a double agent?
Calm down Rob, Earth 616 have been fighting some major threats before the Children of the Vault. Thanos, Chaos King, and King in Black. The children all seem like a blip compared to those threats.
Im so confused by all of this. How are the children of the vault not considered mutants?? How are they not if their abilities evolved naturally? What exactly makes them different???
Elevator version: Humans (homo sapien) mutants (homo superior) children of the vault (homo sapien superior). Marvel has been playing around with evolution branching for a while, and it's confusing and inconsistent because they haven't really solidified their rules. Look at characters such as Mr. Immortal and Vargas.
The children are the natural evolution of humanity with no outside interference or x gene. Mutants are a byproduct of celestial experiments on ancient humans given an x gene. One is natural and one is a creation.
Children of the Vault just evolve like normal humans would (or have, if we evolved from apes), but at an extremly advanced rate because of the Vault. They aren't mutated
Muerte is analogous to a 1610 Children of Tomorrow named Death, who does a similar thing in Hickman’s The Ultimates. While it might just be recycling that idea, it also gives the impression that things like the Children and posthumanity are inherently inevitable
It's a cool story, but also... I'm getting a little tired of the "You've stopped my plans but I was only trying to save you from something worse" trope, lol.
This was kind of a bummer, because I actually thought that some of the Children of Tomorrow could actually change and become real heroes, just like on some Thunderbolts stuff, because Serafina actually looked like she was changing and coming around with her trying to talk things out and not agreeing with the captain and things like that. Out of all of them, I believed that Serafina and that super speed girl with pink hair were the ones most likely to change. But that didn't happen. I am bummed out, I thought that they could make great additions and progress the story, as well as upcoming stories, because this ending with them all going back, and Serafina seeming like she will go back to being one of the Children of the Vault, it was all very, very regressive. I didn't like that.
The fall of X event was starting to get a bit convoluted and snowballed into something that Marvel couldn't write themselves out of very quickly. If anything, the children might be getting converted into something the MCU can recycle with Seraphina hinting shes going to become cartoonishly evil like Capitan, but thats to personal interpretation. Fall of X was essentially just power creep'ing certain heroes and demolishing Krakoa in preparation for the black stone. That seems pretty in line with Marvel fumbling storylines for the bigger picture.
@godzilla2k26 Yes. However, Serafina said that she was too nice and that she won't be that way in the future. So she will be a villain again, and I don't really like that, because as I said, it is regressive because she seemed like she was actually starting to change. Oh well, it is what it is.
I never understood why they were "Bad" in the first place. Seems logical. Get everyone on both sides of the genetics on board. Defeat Orchis. Take out any new threats that were coming. The end.
Why who was bad? The Children of Tomorrow? They were bad because they considered the death of more than 99% of the population to be acceptable casualties (that was the expected failure rate of the Message, and those who are not changed by it have no place in the future, apparently). Without that one little tiny problem, though, they would probably be right.
Yo you should make a video on the Brothers (Megaverse) for Marvel/DC. The ying/yang brothers, they are the embodiment of the DC/Marvel universe & they have a pretty interesting story.
It’s interesting how they mention something coming in the future. It reminds me of Dr Manhattan hinting a DC/Marvel crossover during Doomsday Clock. I believe it was slated for 2031

He said he chose to be resurrected with it, because it allowed him some degree of control over the super techno-organic virus, and he wanted that option in reserve, just in case it ever became useful. So kind of a plot device, but there is an explanation.

Ahh yes, the Luk-utus arc.
My personal favorite bit was having Gandalf teach Harry Potter how to use the force.
Remember when Luke was on Tatooine and he asked Han to beam him up but Han replied, "I cannot do it Luke, Ah don't have the power!"
@@xerothedarkstar I laughed at this a lot longer and harder than anyone should... ever.
Ah yes, the Borg, famously from Star Wars. They live on the Shire and were started by Professor X to form the Justice League. What a classic.
Remember when the Jedi Master Picard fought Voldemort and saved Cybertron from the Rise of Cobra and his army of Doom bots? That shit was tight.
Cable and Bishop. The last two people you would want to play the bluffing game with. Those two play for keeps.

I think he did way back in the day. I'd have to check the playlists.
