  • HAPPY TURKEY DAY!
    From New Jersey in November. This is the video I was trying to put up, the real version of yesterday's upload, not much to say other than Bluefish assaulting the bunker and my tackle, every school of bunker this day was being chased by bluefish, moving south sometimes faster than we could peddle.
    Fished with Elias ( / eliasvaisberg87 ) Started off by catching fish trolling a northbar darter behind the schools, went back and forth between poppers, that darter, and a snag hook, picked fish all day. After following the schools 3+ miles south we turned around and worked north and found little to no bait but piles of blues. Overall it was tricky to catch the blues on topwater, a lot of times they wouldnt look at anything other than a live bunker, but in the end, I had my share of fish, I went through all 3 of my poppers and also broke my reel.
    Kayak: Hobie Revo 13
    Rod: Pompano Bay 7' (www.pompanobayrods.com)
    Reel: Penn Clash 4k

    One of my most memorable fishing trips was drifting from the CBBT into the Atlantic on top of a school of taylor blues. Using surgical tube lures, we had a blast for over an hour before the bite died.
    Thanks for bring us along.

    NICE! This reminds me of a time when big blues were EVERYWHERE here on the lower Chesapeake and the monster surf runs that used to occur. Seems like their numbers are starting to rebound but in MD where I live, the big blue runs seemed to vanish over the last 15 yrs or so. I grew up catching them and really loved getting them, especially in the surf. They were often a bi catch while striper fishing because they seemed to school above stripers in the water column but like I said, the really large sized blues just ceased to exist in large numbers but this video is proof that they are making a come back. Nice catches!

    When I was surf fishing in Costa Rica I hooked a nice mahi from shore which bent the hook on my spook into the shape of an L. So I lost that fish. Then I hook like a 40 lb rooster fish pretty much 10 feet in front of me on a bomber I had. Long story short 2 of the hooks were bent straight so I was pretty heated. If you buy bomber lures replace the hooks.

    • @ChrisMcIntee
      @ChrisMcIntee  7 лет назад

      its extra fast, throws 1/4-3/4oz, 7' long. Its slightly undergunned for this kind of fishing but all in all handles big lures and fish very well

      Sea-Money Fishing also is it like medium, medium heavy, light?

    • @ChrisMcIntee
      @ChrisMcIntee  7 лет назад

      Ill have to double check but I think its a medium-heavy. My bread and butter in fishing is throwing 4"-6" lures either jigs or small plugs for 3-15lb fish, I have owned all different kinds of rods that are good for this style of fishing, check out st croix triumph, premier and avids, they are each priced differently, the triumph being the cheapest (less than 100$ i think). Also, honestly, ugly stik's are not a bad option if youre really on a budget, that is what I started with catching stripers bluefish bass and fluke with back in the day.

    • @fishbruh23drew53
      @fishbruh23drew53 7 лет назад

      Sea-Money Fishing Yeah but I like the rod butt that has the single ball of cork and then a thin shaft to the reel mount. I'm looking at a Berkley Lightning Shock Series Trigger Rod at 7' with medium heavy power, rated for lures between 1/4 - 1.25 oz

    hi great videos but how r the fish going to eat after theyre mouths are ripped off as i say i love the videos but come on chaps lol u say with a bass oh hes got off your not paying any consideration for the fish ... yoy play them as if u just gotta get the next one rather than pay any attention to the one youve caught .. i know i know nothing but i do know if you dont look after the fish you have you could end up with not so many fish to catch. if your going to eat em fair enough but if your returning them just show some respect to them for what they r ,, fantastic sized hard fighting good looking fish ,, i used to fish a lot in uk and with carp especially and people ,,not anglers,, treat them as though they are nothing and play them so hard that their lips become destroyed in the process... seeing you catch such amasing hauls of fish is really entertaining and you obviously care about your quarry but sometimes we need to stand back a bit and consider the way we handle things ..please dont take offence as none intended. i guess im a little envious of the wonderfull sport fishing you have there hey look after it mate all the very best for the new year to youll best wishes colin
