Trailblazer is a family roller coaster at Hersheypark amusement park in Hershey, Pennsylvania. It is located in the Pioneer Frontier section of Hersheypark, just below Storm Runner. The ride is notable for being the second-oldest operating coaster in the park, after the Comet, and for its family-friendly height requirement of 36 inches and above with an adult.
The coaster reaches speeds of up to 45 mph, and features a helix that circles 4 times. The mid-course brake zone is nearly level with Storm Runner, and the queue for that ride extends inside Trailblazer's first drop.
The ride received two brand new trains in 2003 built by Premier Rides. The main difference is the new cars had individual lap bars for each seat, rather than the single "t-bar" lap bars for each pair of seats.

Front Seat Coasters when I was little I went on this ride for the first time and I loved it so much that I went on it five times in a row en my dad had to come get me off of it
This coaster is totally awesome! I personally am TERRIFIED of roller coasters with huge drops, and I didn't have any trouble on this rollercoaster at all! In the very beginning it goes really high up and you think it will be a HUGE drop but instead it dips down just a little bit! It's super fun and it's a great introduction to roller coasters! I would TOTALLY recommend it for those who aren't roller-coaster people!

Its the perfect coaster for someone who is afraid of rollercoasters. I've converted many people into being coaster freaks just from this ride. Its a great tame warm up for kids.
when i was like 7 i went here and this was the only coaster i would go on! it was usually with my dad and looking back on it i feel really bad for my dad, AGAIN DADDY AGAIN AGAIN!!!!!!! HE HAD TO HEAR THAT ALMOST THE ENTIRE TRIP!!!
First rode the Trailblazer at Hershey Park in 1978. Wow that was a long time ago. Glad to see it is still around.
probably one of the best kiddy coasters out there. great to get people who dont like coasters to start warming up to them.
Some people say it's a good way to start, but you don't get the roller coaster experience. Start on the Lightning racer. It has a little competition with it too;)
This was my first ever roller coaster I ever went on !!!!
But now head to super duper lopper !!!! And once I did that I loved going upside down now !!!!
Now iam brave enough to go on bigger roller coasters !!!!

Yea iam now use to big tall roller coasters !!! Like last year I went on a big tall roller coaster at bush gardens and the 205 feet straight down and when I saw the trip I said oh no !!!! But I made it through the whole tire ride of the roller coaster !!!! And the coaster was awesome !!!! Then I did all of the roller coasters because I was use to everything else !!!! Now I love roller coasters !!!!

this was my first rollercoaster I ever rode. I was 11 and my eyes were squeezed shut and I was screaming the whole time. Lol, I'm such a baby when it comes to rides.
This ride was really fun, even if I'm into the big and bad roller coasters. I love all of its curves. Fun ride for any age, really. :)
I actually rode this coaster, which is probably the only roller coaster I ridden. Yes, I see these crazy roller coasters, but I would also like coasters like this, so that everyone who is afraid of the loop de loops can have a nice coaster to ride and also make a roller coaster for a scenic ride with a little bumps and turns.

i love trailblazer it was my first roller coaster and it was awesome
I know this one isn't crazy insane like Farenheit but I love this roller coaster! Its awesome because its not scary at all so we can take any one on and they still have fun. Except my grandmom... haha my hair was scraping the grass when we were doing the side loop thing and she freaked out. hahaha good times!
i love this ride. im terrifyed of hights and rollercoasters but this is the only one i can on and enjoy ^^

I remember that this was the only ride I rode whenever I went to Hershey Park (which was hardly ever because it always managed to rain whenever I went) when I was small. And I remember being terrified of even this one lmao

i agree, this is actually a bit scary at night, especially when you're afraid of the dark and you get stuck in the tunnel waiting for the other train to load!

this ride reminds me of the gold rusher at carowinds except the gold rusher is a little faster but still this is a ride that an adult and a little kid can enjoy

The first time I got on this (mind you, I was terrified of roller coasters at the time), I saw that tall roller coaster behind the hill as we went up, and thought that was part of the Trailblazer.
probably going to get laughed at for saying this, but I like this rollercoaster. I even think its scary sometimes! I loved going on rollercoasters when I was in like 3rd grade because my dad was with me but when he's not I hate them

I told my friend this was a beginner coaster. We went on and when we didn't drop she screamed at the top of her lungs "What the FUCK WAS THAT?!" I will always remeber that moment.

It's like the comet, a ride that got a scaredy cat, (me) to ride other stuff last year. Neither will be taken anytime soon, especially comet with skyrush in the way anyways lol. To the idea of getting rid of trailblazer
i went on this before i don't like it because of the little thrill of riding but you're able to slide your hands in the grass

@CKBN1 nope, I go to amusement parks and be sure to ride everyone all the twists and turns make me soo excited!! But I rode this about 20 times in one day with my 5 year old brother and had a blast! It doesn't have to be big to be fun :)

This is a funny story my friend is terrified of roller coasters went looking for this ride and couldn't find it and once we found him we put him on Comet and then he liked the feeling in you stomach so he rode Sooperdooperlooper and he liked it.
i waz in front seat. i almost took a nap with these 20 year old girls screaming there heads off. i was like,"hey shut up, oh! Storm Runner!"

I did that and it's all planned out for May 5th I'm going to ride what I haven't been on yet, so it would be Trailblazer, Wildcat, Wild Mouse, Sidewinder, Roller Soaker and Storm Runner, I won't be going on Skyrush because it won't be opened, but when I go sometime in the summer I will ride what I rode last year Fahrenheit, Great Bear, Comet, Lightning Racer and SooperdooperLooper if there's time Skyrush.
@Natboo99 come on guys don't be hating on the trailblazer. its so little kids can have something cool to ride. I remember when I was little I always wanted to go to mining town to ride the trailblazer. then grew up and had my first loop at the superdooper looper haha gotta have your first loop there
My first loop was the great American scream machine at six flags great adventure, it was replaced by the green lantern :( I was 8

@ALIandALYSSA1 That's sad that they are taking Comet out!!!! :( I love that ride!!!! I'll be really upset going there and not riding it as soon as I get there...once it's gone it'll probably be Sooperdooperlooper that I would be riding first thing.
I do admit it. The Trailblazer is kind of boring, but it is a family rollercoaster. I is meant to be tame. Don't expect it to be demolished, its nostalga. The rollercoaster was built in 1975, Hersheypark's 2nd rollercoaster

@Sir1188 I sure do that me and my dad buy a lot of Hershey Bars when we go to Martins. I always get the Hershey milk chocolate or cookies n cream drops.....soooo good :P

Oh, gosh!!!! By then it was too late you couldn't get off of Storm Runner. Did you like Storm Runner though? When I went I found Trailblazer, but I didn't get a chance to ride it because my friends wanted to ride Wildcat and Sidewinder.
I like this ride because I have anxiety, so I don't like big huge rollercoasters.
