Reason why this RSR sounds different/better from the previous one: Porsche decided to go MID-engine on this new car, as opposed to the traditional REAR-engine on previous RSR models, thus designing a whole new exhaust system, which gives it this amazing, orgasmic, yet still familiar sound.
Saw this car for the first time at Le Mans last year, was immediately sold! Can’t wait till this year with 6 of these monsters around La Sarte for 24 hours! Thanks for this amazing video man! Now I’m even more excited to go
Porsche really nailed it.. I thought they couldn't bear pretending toughness on rear engined race car anymore to create the new RSR, I was wrong, they came with GT2 RS brushed the shit outta nurburg, and this RSR is extremely balance and sick as hell.
The exhaust on those cars is absolutely TEARING SHEETS under acceleration. WOW. GT3 RS cars are the pinnacle for the road of course, but there's nothing like a thoroughbred race car. These cars are "serious bits of kit" as the Brits like to say.
I will always remember being next to these cars in person at Daytona and Sebring in 2017. I was there. I witnessed it, I heard it, I felt it. I will never forget it.

Eau Rouge and Blanchimont, my favourite parts of the circuit, Spa is famous for it's changeable weather and it takes some balls to drive this track in the wet at these speeds.
Loudest car on the track no matter where you go (except for the C7R GTE Pro car but it doesn’t seem as loud because it’s such a low pitched exhaust note). Best modification decision the Motorsport division of Porsche has made in years no doubt.
Dare I say that these cars sound almost as good, if not better as the V10 F1 cars? Then again I might be biased because I went to the Roar Before the 24.
5 years later, and this is still THE BEST SOUNDING GT3/R/RSR ever made. I have been mildly upset this racing year, that the 911 doesn't like like this.
I have videos on my phone of the last IMSA race I was at and I frequently put my noise cancelling headphones on and listen to the RSR on full blast passing on the corner I was at. This is my happy place haha My favourite sounding engine of all time. (excluding F1)

In Zandvoort you would get a black flag on your outlap in that car it is so loud. in a huracan performante that also happens and it is on a stock exaust on corsa
