I went from the B8 to the C2 and shockingly I found the difference minimal but going from the C2 to the C4 there is a noticeable difference especially with HDR content.
Just managed to get one for £930 . It was just under £1000 on lg site then was able to use 5% off welcome offer code. Very happy with that price! Upgrading from an LGCX that I will continue to use in another room :)
Love my 42" C2. I can't see any reason to upgrade to the C3 or C4. Frankly, my S95B is far superior as a TV so my next monitor will be QD OLED in a year or two
I have a 2017 55" C7, the software side of things is incredibly slow so almost for that alone I want to upgrade to a 65" C4. How much better is the picture quality from the C7?
Another awesome review Phil. Looks a decent tv, but unfortunately I’m still in the market for the G4. Still waiting for it to arrive in the shops, so I can get a good look. I’ve listened to and seen the reviews, but I just need to get up close and personal if you know what I mean. I’ve seen your review sometime ago on the G4 and I know you gave it a glowing review. Thanks Phil for sharing.
I don't know why folks are obsessed with brightness. Yes, it's really nice, but it's not the end all and be all. And over the years, I've figured out ways to juice up the brightness on LG TVs.
Practically every single study has shown that people prefer brighter highlights, which is one of the chief advantages of HDR. Peak brightness is a crucial component of higher picture quality.
Do you know if the LG C4 suffers from the Color desaturation that the LG G4 does? I know the LG G4 is pushing the brightness and that can make the color desaturation worse. I was just curious about this. With the LG C4 not pushing the brightness as much. I was thinking it might not suffer the same. I am a BIG Fan of your channel. And I look forward to your response. Keep up the great work! And thank you for your time and help. It's greatly! appreciated!
Yeah I ordered the c3 for less money. I doubt I would notice much difference anyway. As far as the remote is concerned I'm fine with the same old remote. It works and looks fine to me. I also use the pointer. So I look forward to receiving it.
samsung has better picture at night, while lg has better black colour at day. Additionaly samsung has more vibrant colours, while LG has more "natural" colours. At the end i went for c4, but mostly because it has 48" variant, because 55 was too big for me, and samsung doesnt have any smaller oled tv than 55 inches. cheers.

Why do LG not list the Audio Output for any of the C4 models on their website? They do for other models. Its off-putting with 3 product codes too - C44LA, C45LA, C46LA. I understand these codes are usually just regional identifiers but it turns out the C45LA is the only model where the Magic Remote MR24 has NFC. Although the power output is supposed to be 40W for the 55" model the fact there are differences between model codes as stated above does not inspire confidence.

The left sounds louder than the right - yes balance is zero. I bought it directly from LG and tried to talk about this with them. LG's after sales service is appalling. I don't agree for remote control, best is always plastic and this is very comforable and useful, just doesnt look premium dosn't make it nonpremium ... of course number buttons always are the must have.
Because of the way our eyes work with brightness, you are not really going to notice any peak brightness benefits, 144Hz is for a small amount of PC Gamers, and you need a meter to make use of the professional tools, so, like I say, 99% of that can be found on the C3.
@@avforums 1. 150nits is noticable, no more tonemapping for 1000 nit movies 2. Tonemapping pro is useful so u can set 1000 Nit to 95% or maybe 100% without a meter 3. There are a lot of pc gamers that will benefit from 144hz. So i would say a c3 is 80% from a c4.
