    so good to see a demo where the palyer is not showing off how good they are, I could really hear the instrument - fantastic!

    Love it that this player demonstrates this bass in a pure and natural way; No friggin' effects that fuck up the sound. Just clean sound and nothing else. Finger licking sound!!

    Great demo. Thanks so much. I play the same model as a 5 string and I love the Splitcoil with the bridge humbucker blended in. However, I just cannot stand the sound of the humbucker isolated. Just does not work for me.

    • @IvanBassist
      @IvanBassist  5 лет назад

      Yeah, the P style pickup sounds great! On its own and with no EQ boosted I found the bridge humbucker a bit too "nasal", but with the preamp engaged or some sort of EQ boost, it really cuts through in a mix. Still I prefer the P style though :D

      @@IvanBassist I really like the tone of a p bass and a stingray.
      Is it possible with the humbucker in that position to sound like a Stingray?
      The humbucker is not really in the Stingray position

    I have just purchased a Sandberg VM4 and love the stock strings on it! Any idea who makes them and what the gauges are?

    • @IvanBassist
      @IvanBassist  4 года назад +3

      They are Sandberg stainless steel strings :) Usually they ship with 40-100 gauge. They sell them at the webshop or you can contact your local dealer

      plexiglasseye Thanks! :) I’m pretty sure my signal path was: Bass (neck pickup only) > Darkglass Hyper Luminal compressor (FET mode) > Darkglass Alpha Omega into my Mesa amp.
