I’ve never been drawn to games like Mörk Borg, but your adventure was a wonderfully grotesque delight! Loved it and Really fantastic to see another actual play show that isn’t just d&d. Would you accept game submissions/donations from indie ttrpg designers, and if so how could they be sent in?
"I really hope you are enjoying this": "enjoying"??? This is the best effing show on youtube. Keep it up "for the love of God"!
Duke Belson rolled 9 and 11 when trying to level a building. What an omen.
Cannonballs don't burn wooden beams.
Long live Jingly John! The greatest hero of this age!
Hooray!!!!
Hip hip, huzzah!
God bless that Jester.
He will live happily ever after with Bungus
I went this whole game thinking it was Jingly Jom, but John makes more sense.
Tom is really good at GMing. The table gets pretty goofy but the story always keeps moving. I'm excited for him to bring other, lesser known systems to life with his antics.
Hello! It's me, Jingly John! I'm here to sing my algorithm-appeasing song!
Man, the Killgore-reveal had me doubling over in laughter!
Alas, poor Killgore... he was too badass for this cruel world :(
Man, we need an animated adventure of this. Who do we pay to make that happen?
Wasn't Kilgore a fighter in Killer Instinct? A SNES game.
@@ValariemarsFulgore, but I also immediately thought of him(it)!
@@EnthuZee Tom Bates ofc
Yeah that was amazin!
if you play more Mork Borg, you should do the Graves Left Wanting adventure. its intended for you to play as characters who died in previous games. we could see a return of simon's exploded character, kilgor, the duke, and either of Rav's characters.
I second this, that sounds fantastic!
Here's hoping Kilgor reconvenes with the other fallen characters, only to be brutally decimated in some comical fashion, rendering his soul extinguished.
Another episode?! I'm practically lactating
this comment suggests there is a way of lactating impractically, very concerning
@@VVRATHH in the middle of the street like a firehose
@@spongmongler6760 hot
Since Killgore had actual stats that means they could genuinely had him as a companion and chose to burn him alive instead. Lol
The "Hellfire" by jingly john really got me 😂
Honestly Hulmes brought an amazing energy all the way through this one. Would love to see him return as a player again.
I don’t want jingly john in the future games as a character, I just want him to be mentioned as having done great deeds and living his best life by side characters and such, known as one of the finest heroes ever to roam the land of…wherever he roams!
That was the Jingly John moment we all deserved. Truly one of the great characters of our time.
I love all the details in these throwaway intros; wonder if they're bespoke or pulled from games Tom has actually played
some of column a, some of b
Man was really getting into the one this week lol. The editing (audio) is great!.
I was just thinking "this channel might end when tom runs out of fun intro monologs" but the level of detail in this one makes me think he can pull it off for awhile lol
I think one of them was the Cannibal Shia LaBeouf intro so probably a mix of references and other inspired stuff
@@rykero4368lol that passed through my mind but if he runs out I'm sure he'll just use a new intro format.
I love how good Ravs plays the absolute freaks. The Cardinal, Ferg, and Even Arvul in a different way. Give Ravs a weird guy, and Ravs can turn that dial up to 11.
47:41 the accidentally synchronized salute from Simon and Lyds was too good, almost in unison to pay respect to the best of the Mork Borg crew.
I couldn't be happier with how it all worked out for Jingly John and his vengeance song.
If there is space there is Kremlo.
God damn Tom is such an impressive DM. Really excellent balance between _mucking about_ and keeping the story moving forward.
Mark's little improv to conclude his character was magnifique. Some actual character development and a fitting hero story for the underappreciated jester.
Gods damn fantastic. We all knew deep down that he was the true hero. Just excellent work
These are some of the best rpg videos on youtube, not overly done, player freedom of expression and so much fun. Tom your ability to go with the flow of what the players decide to do is amaizing tied in with your imagination and story telling makes this a joy to watch
It's a much more accurate representation of what role playing games are as opposed to live plays conducted by voice actors. I think it paints them in a much more accessible light than the other case.
It’s me, Jingly John. And I’m signing my “We want more Mystery Quest” song!
Every time I watch the most recent video I think. "Oh they're finishing goblins grinder"
I’m glad it’s still going
@@GreenEyedDazzler I love Tom's new channel, but tbh I keep thinking Mork borg is gonna end
Shit this campaign just ended lmao I wasn’t resdy
I love the Mörk Borg series, but damn those intros are fucking amazing. I hope there will be a compilation of these in due time, I want to share them with as many people as possible xD
When I saw that Jingly John was gonna land the final blow I was really disappointed he didn't drop the jester act and become stone cold and say "This is for the Duke." before beheading The Bastard, but what an amazing campaign!
In the back of my head, the Troll and the Wickerman are having a Kong vs Godzilla moment in the cornfields. The Troll is using a windmill blade as an axe, the Wickerman is breathing fire. Very cinematic!
*This is a comment, for the Angorythm*
I think the Wickermonster was a hallucination from Ravs' injury earlier on, but I am all for epic monster battle.
i can't be the only one who thinks the wickerman and troll fell madly in love, and are now frolicking through the rotten fields, hand in hand...
What a brutal system... tragic that poor Duke Belsome died right at the end! But he died having finally lived up to his potential. And he got a dignified death which I assumed was impossible in Mork Borg. Can't wait for more content!
Yeah this seems very difficult to survive for long. Even the HP seems to be so low, and such
The absolute sync that Lydia and Simon had when saluting was glorious😂
I know in my heart of hearts that Killgore lives! He will return! I didn't know how much I enjoyed table top adventures until The Disintegrator and now The Goblin Grinder, I can't wait to see the new series drop soon
Jingly John being the true hero at the end was absolutely perfect. While I would have loved to hear more about who the mad scientist was, and why he kicked the corpse while threatening the sad-man, I can't deny that firing the cannon straight up was the best decision in all possible aspects. Can't wait to see what the next game will be.
This series is really one of their best! Recurring Killgore, jingly john, Collin the duck are brilliant! I would love to see a part 2 of this.
F for Furg - he died like he lived, a ugly mess!
I picture the Duke rolling John like a greasy bowling ball out of the windmill. I also picture the party proceeding to beat the crap out of him once he stops, but that didn't happen
17:53 Holy _duck,_ that's a good impression!
Holy crap what a finale, the true hero of the tale, brought a tear to my eye
This channel is the probably the best thing to happen to youtube in recent years. Having more Yogs TTRPGs, especially GM'd by TOM! The father of Killgore! Amazing stuff, keep up the fantastic work everyone!
What do we want? Mork Borg! When do we want it? 1800 on Saturday sounds about right!
Easier character deaths really adds another layer of freedom and hilarity.
Mark rolling a 9 and an 11 to blow up the windmill.
Cannonballs can OBLITERATE Goblin Grinder Windmills
God the Jingly John ending was phenominal
47:37 The sync of that salute from Simon and Lydia
I'm glad the duke survived, I really like the character. Also, fantastic series, one of the few I legit look forward to :)
Edit: never mind /cry
I’m kinda disappointed that jingling john didn’t really recognize duke saving him. Would also be nice if the sword said something like the duke finally did something decent once in his life
@@eirinthemedicgf3962 I'm sure they did in the offscreen epilogue.
@@eirinthemedicgf3962 Jingly John Seems like the kinda guy who just takes everything in stride. He's also old as hell, since Duke Belsam described him as the family's "generational" jester.
@@eirinthemedicgf3962 well he DID sing his vengeance song... and got said vengeance... so there's that?
if ravs' character had shouted down escape encouragement and reduced the difficulty by 4 the duke would have lived
Jingley John becoming the surprise MVP really sends me back to your Games Night days with ol' Herman saving the day in Call of Cthulu!
38:26 deserved a bigger laugh from the table than it got 😂
Love this so much! You guys sense of humour with the dark world made me thing of it like a discworld novel 😂
It’s kind of insane how perfectly it ended
I imagine Jingly John is actually like a really good singer and dancer. But because everyone in Mork Borg is awful they hate him. Jingly John actually has a really good singing voice with great range.
Let's split the difference - he's an incredible singer, but as a lyricist he has far too high an opinion of himself.
I was really hoping Jingly John would get equinox at the end. Duke Belson sacrificing himself to save John genuinely brought a tear to my eye.
41:17 Amazing description of a comical misfortune. These videos are so funny.
Really loving this kind of setup.
Some One-shot(ish) shorter adventures with crazy characters.
This is now officially my favority channel on youtube.
Hyped for the final episode of this bit!
I hope Tom does more. he's a great DM and I love everything he does.
Really enjoyed this seriese. It appeared at just the right point as high rollers campaign 2 came to an end. Love watching new roleplaying games
Remember that the German aristocracy had a practice called Mensuren where they would do fencing standing from point blank range where it was illegal for one to dodge. All attacks were aimed at the face as well, and it was seen as an act of courage to take a razor-sharp rapier to the face. That's why so many 19th century to WWII German officers had scars all over their face. So the duke would just come off as a badass 100 years ago.
I've been wary of Mork Borg, thinking maybe it wasn't my play style, but after this adventure I could totally see myself running this game! Loved the whole crew
i had to watch tom mimicing the goblin peering down the hole 10 times. so perfect with the backgroundsound. love this!
These are great.. especially love the intros too... I swear you could put these together into like a book of 100 different mystery quests, one page each with a few dots points or break out boxes for other information. Another cool game would love to see you guys tackle is Mothership...
Really loving it Tom! Great GM’ing 🎉
This mystery quest was endlessly entertaining, I loved it! So glad you guys are doing Tabletop RPGs again!
JINGLY JOHN!!!! This was fantastic. Incredible GMing and great improv from the cast. Massive fan.
Fantastic campaign! 👏👏👏
this was such a good mystery quest arc, hope i get to play morkborg someday. looked like they were having such a good time, i wanna roll up my own creepy wierd metal fantasy characters now
That was such a fun adventure. I'm really excited to see what's next. This series is amazing.
A sequel would be fantastic. But I'm ready for a new adventure as well.
Short campaigns are the best
This was amazing. The ending was perfect! 😂
30:51 Is so fucking funny, the way Lydia and Simon introduced themselves lmfao
Jingly John making it all the way through has made me so happy! Truly our hero!
That joker impression was super solid
Everyone was so good. Mark's experience with TTRPGs really shows, hope he returns.
Very fun series!
Absolutely loving this content! Was on the fence with Mork borg at first as it was so different to CoC, but it turned out to be an amazing story with loads of cool characters! Long live jingly John the hero
This was an amazing game👏 I really hope there will be mörk borg again in the future!
This was great! The Duke saving Jingly John at the end was amazing! I’d like to see where this Mörk Borg group go next at some point 😊❤️
I usually never comment on anything, but for you guys I had to. Since I discovered your channel I just binge watched it ALL.
Long live Jingly John and his highness the duke! Can´t wait to see what coming next!!
Jingly John had the best character arc
Absolutely loving the channel, its everything i ever wanted from a tom ttrpg channel.
Also wanna appreciate mark, his role playing was great and hilarious, keep it up.
This all ended so perfectly, so much fun!
I’m so glad Jingly John got the sword in the end. I was really hoping he would take some poetic revenge for the duke with the sword that hated him
This was a fun watch! I had a great time watching this. Love the use of sound effects and the players were awesome!
All hail the true hero of the game, King Jingly!
My favourite day of the week is finally here! This episode had so many great moments and the ending brought me to tears!
We will remember Duke Belsam in our hearts.
GLORY TO JINGLY JOHN. LONG MAY HE REIGN.
This whole campaign was so much fun.
I screamed when jingly John made that saving thow
Amazing one, great podcast, great game master, amazing players too, without them it wouldnt be the same! Thanks for bringing them together for this quality fcking around, well done!
i love this roleplay system so much it seems like so much fun
Jingly Jon is the hero we deserve.
The sound effect editing was top notch. Incredible work. HELLFIRE
Rhubarb and Ginger G&T while I sit back and enjoy another fun story hour with Mystery Quest? Why yes, I think I will!
edit: had to come back to salute Duke Belsam in his final moments and the utter legend that was Jingly John. What a perfect end to a great story! Hats off to Mark, that end scene with Duke Belsam was fucking inspired!
This has been such a fun series!!! Thank you Tom and all the players!!
I love Mark's capering so much at 52:40
Thanks for the great content! I hope you end up playing more Mörk Borg or other OSR style games - these are my favourites.
Truly exceptional work on all parts! By far my new favourite channel! Much love
"My name is Jingly John, and I'm singing my hero song, my master now is dead, and I got off The Bastards head!
Bungus Bungus is the only one alive from the start.
The best kind of chaos. Much respect to Tom for actually keeping this mess moving forward
This was such a fantastic quest, gonna take a fair bit for other quests to beat it, but I look forward to seeing them try!
Somehow, I simply knew from his very first appearance that Jingly John would go on to become the man of the hour, not once a doubt in my mind throughout this whole adventure. 🤡✊🎉
