PRO-TIP : Use BB bands only for stocks you know bounce back well and is volatile most of the times, use Fibonacci pivot points, buy some quantity at lower band if it goes down, add more at S1 then S2 and then S3 avg out (most of the time you don't have to avg out more than once) then sell some when it reach 20 SMA line and remaining when it touch upper band. Use it on daily chart.

When the band expands, trade in the direction of the breakout. If price is above the mid ban (20sma), go long, if price is below the mid band, go short.
This is the first video of BB that clearly said" do not buy at the lower band if the trend is going down" do not sell at the upper band the upper band if the trend is going up" ..u can use both upper and lower only in ranging markets with enuf volatilty to profit..damn dis channel keeps nailing every single trader needs to know...

This will make you chuckle. I had a professor who, although spoke perfect english, had an accent. He once told us that he'd be living in this country for close to 40 years and that he only maintained his accent because it forced us to pay closer attention to the words he was saying and therefore increasing our understanding. Your videos have the best content, they are simple enough to be understood, but specifically don't omit any important information.They can be used by amateurs or pros.

Technical indicators are great and very useful. Pros often read a market much quicker than the average trader. It doesn't take them 10 minutes to draw lines, look at RSI etc etc etc. They can get a feel for a price movement relatively quickly. If possible, can you make a video on... what I would describe as "intuitive analysis" I know that sounds easy enough for me to say, but I think you understand what i mean.

This is like my fourth video I have watched from this channel and trying to find words to express my appreciation and gratitude for how the information is presented but it won't do it justice. Now I have had market experience for years so my learning curve is not so steep and it makes complete sense. The words clean and concise come to mind if I have to describe the visual presentation and delivery of information. I am excited to test and see if any of this works for my trading. And like he has said, everyone has their own personality and will in the end have their own way of reading the charts. It is art and the chart is our painting subjected to our own minds imagination on how we choose to see it.

Great video. I'm glad what ive learnt myself over time with Bollinger bands matches to what you say. I find it's a very helpful tool, especially pated with rsi (TDI indicator has both boll bands and rsi together in one) using a good volume indicator along with TDI and a good entry/exit indicator turns into a killer strategy. The volume will help to tell you whether in periods of tight Bollinger channel, the price will sell off or go long. Especially powerful when the right boll band range is sitting at high RSI and the volume is also supporting the decision to go short. Really, it is a killer strategy. I know NNFX - no nonsense Forex is strongly against Bollinger bands/rsi and puts it into a list of "dirty dozen" indicators but man I think it has real potential when used correctly and traded alongside a volume indicator. Thanks for the video! It's gold.
It's all about how you use it. I laughed pretty hard when I heard the nnfx comments on the rsi. He is a good marketer and that is as far as it goes...
Bollinger Band is a great indicator! To confirm entry point you can use some of Order Flow indicators, like "speed of tape".

A strategy comprising of indicators will end up not working in your favour.
Quite true, try to formulate a strategy by learning a strategy that already works and give it your own twist.
traders have their own plan, and the best
make a effort to hold onto it.. that's like the best strategy behind every successful trader
in my own opinion, discover traders you want to follow and add to your watch list. read status updates on their strategies, analyze results
and communicate with them. that will go a long way
improving a strategy will lead you far in Forex, as it's a basis of chasing knowledge.
I don't know why i had forgotten that breakout are made on expanding volume ! despite i read Bollinger on Bollinger bands....
BB quite useless on its own. But combine it with other tool/indi, you can create an absolute money machine trading system. Its the most accurate TA trend leading indicator there is

You have made so many great vids about different indicators/methods for trading. Begginers might be confused which method to choose and why. It would be great if you could create a top performing methods/indicators and combination of those for daytrading/swing/longer terms. Surely it would give you even bigger exposure :)

I noticed that you mentioned 1000pip builder on you site, are their signals good?
Wait for price to break above the trend line and then take the entry if and when price pulls back to the neckline.
The benefit of this technique is that it’s a more conservative approach (because price is already established above the neckline) that often leads to a good reward to risk ratio, especially with descending necklines. Place the stop loss under the right shoulder. To get your target, simply duplicate the measurement from the neckline to the lowest low as in the previous trend line formed, then apply a developed strategy like (IQD Momentum Strategy). The benefit of this technique is that it’s a more conservative approach (because price is already established above the neckline). learning from Lukasz Wilhelm's method was the best choice. The NZDJPY daily chart above shows more than a year’s worth of price action. The market had 400 pips to work with before it would run into the next resistance level using Lukasz system, you can see proves on google search.
The Entire market is rigged and it does not favor the mediocre investor. For now i focus on Forex and i have been doing really well using a strategy taught to me by a friend, *The Vlad Ibrahimov Strategy* is Fibonacci based and i make Thousands of dollars weekly with it, google it.

We've found out that when the bands have spread out after a squeeze has fired, it's a quite easy and often fast win to sell OTM calls against the direction of the previous move in anticipation of the next consolidation period you mentioned will usually follow. We do that when the move back away from the extended and challenged band has been "confirmed".
Works most of the time, but sometimes fails. We only sell calls against our long positions so that even in the case we lose, we win on the main position and can either roll up and out or cash the spread in. (Got no problem selling puts on low BB touches on strong companies in hopes of grabbing up shares at a good discount, however.)

Great video. Toward the end of the video, you indicate a false breakout. Why? Please post a pic of your example of the video indicating why it is a false breakout. It appears from the video of the false breakout that the upper BB is hooked upward, and lower BB is hooked downward. Greatly APPRECIATED....

You are exactly right. Our family made the mistake of paying for a subscription to Desire To Trade, and although they speak of the BB strategy, they are hesitant to say too much. He is more specific about his traveling the world than he is helping schmo's like my family.

@@Demolion951 It will always work. The thing is, will you be able to work it? Start with price action, move into understanding Wyckoff logic. Learn indicators, build your strategy and stick with it what works when after you learn yourself.

I think it depends on your leverage. Higher leverage for smaller time frames and vice versa

Harish Nandu - 4-8hr should be a sweet spot. Adjusts by increasing time up to the weekly.

Hey! Very good video, just have a question: When the market is trending for example downtrend, you said not to buy at the lower band , instead sell at the upper. But what if the price never reach the upper band? Is it a good idea to actually go short when the price is at the lower band in a downtrend? Or i should not enter the market in this case? Thank you!

Myself, I'm not comfortable taking that trade ( short at the lower BB in a downtrend). But I'm very conservative in my trading style. I'm not saying it's not a viable entry, I just have more faith to short at the upper BB.

How much period?
Why was there a false bullish breakout @11:02? I would have bought as both bands hooked and the candlestick rose towards the upper band, but that would have been a mistake as it ended up being the opposite. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance! :)

Why do you choose the 5 minute view? I noticed if you switch to a longer view the lines are completely different.
Of course the lines are different. They differ on each time frame.
concepts here are well explained. however, wondering what time periods do you use to determine price targets? because candlesticks and RSI levels display differently depending on 1 year, YTD, 6 mo, 5 day and 1 day etc? what time period is the best for using RSI and BB for buying and selling opportunites?
