Bro. Incredible video. I love how you explain your process of not just creating the beat but also the mixing, EQ and effects you use and why. And it was still to the point and a fluid moving video. Truly awesome and helpful.
i know Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my password. I love any assistance you can offer me!
@Ryder Lochlan i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Great use of EQ & Compressors. I eq a lot, but don't use compression till the end. I've been using reverb, a little lofi, and then eq for drums on my SP-505 & it's like magic. I tried it on my SP-606 & it's close but not the same. The reverb is not as good.
I can use most of the same VSTS in logic that are by NI IF THATS WHAT YOU MEAN I CAN ALSO USE MY CONTROLLER BUT IT HAS to be assigned manually at least that's the only way I know how to do it also I don't really run both programs together I make the beats on maschine then export everything to logic and then edit it In their @@MIKExMASSACREx
FC soundz awe ok, I don’t use logic, but in fl studios you can actually open up the entire maschine 2 program as a vst within fl studios that’s why I was wondering
Funny, this week I've been working on a beat where i sampled from that exact same JB 7" but parts i used were very different. Always fun taking slow jams like that and triggering it at boom bap tempos.. Usually get some interesting percussion in the chops etc
notice how I'm playing the sample over and over as I'm looking for the key i simply match the key txt the same is in first notice i play the baseline emulating the sample at first then by 7:51 i use the same keys to create my own baseline that fits using the exact same keys and using basic theory of scale
Hey man, this is seriously awesome, thanks for sharing! Other guides did not explain as well as this one when it came to sampling. I am fairly new to the Maschine so this helped a ton. Just a question when you put a compressor at around 0:55, what does it mean by 3:1 ratio? Thanks again!
yes man this is exacty why i make these ! i have a bunch of newer ones with even more detail if you want to check some of those out but yes man , basically when you put a compressor on any instrument one of the first buttons is the ratio button which allows you to adjust how much compression you want to use on most compressors ive seen its called ratio but the term might be different depending on the compressor your using , a 3 : 1 ratio is a standard amount for most though hope this helps always appreciate your insight man stay safe!
Very nice. I'm a bout to buy the MK3 and i'm starting to learn these things but the problem is I don't understand chords and using the keyboard, should i learn some music first before going with mk3?
Greetings, this is an amazing video. I also used this sample to make a beat. Im new to machine and this video helps a ton. Just earned a new sub from me.

FC soundz No, I meant that I can't figure it out how to use them both at the same time....I can only use one at a time, either start a beat with the mk3 and then jump to the keyboard for tunes and keys or vice versa but I must open one software, close when done and then open the other!!

Dope beat man. I've been learning maschine for a few months now by trying to replicate beats from videos like this on youtube. In this case I'm having trouble getting the tempo right so that my pattern fits into a loop. I tried timestretching the sample but maschine seems pretty bad at detecting bpm accurately for old songs like this without distinct drums so I end up with some mickey mouse sounding shit when I do that. Are you upping the tempo at all somehow or just playing the pads faster? And what master tempo are you using and is there any kind of method to the madness of choosing a tempo that works or is it just trial and error? Would much appreciate it if you could share the knowledge. BTW keep up the good work and check out my channel if you wanna hear some of my janky ass beats.
GREAT QUESTION MAN!honestly it varies but for me most of the time i have a tempo and or swing i can hear for the drums and base the loop of that alot of times if I'm having trouble getting a perfect loop i get the drum groove locked in place then tap out the pads after then go back and change the timing on the pads from 1/16 to 1/128 so you can nudge things over in small amounts and if that won't get it i go back into the sampler and adjust the start and end points to fit the tempo but before i even sample first thing I'm thinking about ahead of time is the tempo and groove of the drums i untimely want and i keep that in mind the whole sampling process to help keep me in the right area i also always chop my samples by hand and not letting the maschine do it for you it helps me to better understand and get in the zone of what I'm working with ,Hope that helps man and thanks for your support!
This has been a sore spot for me too bruh. No matter what tempo I set ahead of time I can NEVER get my sample (pre-chop) to fit whether I'm time stretching or warping. Maschine has that new audio feature that will warp the sample for you on time with your beat. But you can't chop or edit the sample if you choose this route. YES, I know there are many ways to do this but I haven't found not ONE that works for me yet. Been doing this for years and it's getting pretty ridiculous really!!
have you tried adjusting the timing sometimes if i can't get a loop to time perfect i set the steps to 128th notes or i chop m loop even more fine so it fits@@3kbeatz
