I’m 4 months into sobriety from alcohol and hard drugs. Haven’t been sober since I’m 16 and I’m 36 now. Lots of time has passed. Life’s good now, but it’s still hard. I watch a lot of these vids to keep up.
I haven't been sober in a while. I think I just lost track of time and opportunities to live a decent life. I hope this new crisis I got myself into will help me get things in control. Thank God I have my health and family
The stranger danger hits me hard. I used to have to hide in the women's restrooms in bars/clubs to get guys to stop harassing and following me. Most of my negative experiences with men has involved alcohol. I can't believe I've put up with so much bs from drunk guys in bars just because I was drunk too.
alcohol certainly has a way of lowering our standards, doesn't it? I'm certainly not looking forward to my life and review when I have to look back at all. the bad decisions I made on alcohol lol
I am sure Sam's family appreciates the fact that she shows up for family gathering awake enough and aware enough to make meaningful, pleasant conversation.
Thanks for sharing Sam! #12, therapy hit me hard. Such an amazing video to help others. From my heart, thank you for doing this. I could tell you weren't comfy. Take solace knowing this will help so many people. Love you. Keep it up. 👊❤️🙏
I shared your story with my 16 yr old granddaughter. In her future when she becomes an adult I believe you sharing your life experience will benefit her. Thank you!🙂❤️
So happy to see you in a video, Sam! I dropped off for a while, but this was wonderful. Stranger Danger...that point hit strong for me. Too many situations where I let myself be taken advantage of. Hoping for more energy soon... :)
What a lovely young lady you are. Your video was so encouraging for me. I’m currently doing a binge of your channel as only on my 4th day sober after many failed attempts. Look forward to watching more of your videos. 😊💐👍
Yea everyone especially ladies should be very aware of their surroundings. It’s not a happy world out there.. to all ladies keep your head on a swivel and remember you have the right to protect yourself. By any means necessary. The second amendment is the right to make sure No means NO.. Good job Sam. You made some extremely good points👍
I am really happy that you brang up some particular feminine advantages of a life of sobriety! You give me a lot of inspiration. Why would I, why would we live a life under poison? Life is amazing just like it is! Thank you and lot of love to you and Jae, you are amazing 🤩
Working at a bar is more dangerous than it looks. A person is in danger of slipping on a wet floor behind the bar or cutting themselves on broken glass or being physically assaulted by an angry drunk. I agree with Sam that being a drunk bartender makes these issues even more of a threat.
I love how you an honest woman telling her story about hormones felling unsafe in bars and talking to people you would never really talk to but feel obliged because they bought you a drink 16 days sober and all ready starting to realise who my real friends are, and who we are just associates or drinking buddies. Keep the videos coming, so inspirational. X
Sam!! Wow! You are a whole new woman!!! You are literally glowing with positivity, clarity and happiness and that is so amazing. I am very happy for and proud of you for conquering your demons and making a total life changes. It takes a lot of discipline and self love to get to where you are and not lose the momentum. Keep up the great work! -Laura
I’m on day 2! I love thé straight talk of this channel. I believe in God but I’m not a hippy dippy person. So I like how y’all just give it to us straight ❤️
Keep up the good work! Sobriety is a journey. It takes preparation, practice, patience, and persistence! It's not a one and done attempt, and how you get there is how you get there!
Thank you to Sam for overcoming any shyness you may have had to share your words of inspiration and wisdom. Your speech will help more people than you will ever know.
Yay, Sam! Congrats on your 2 years of sobriety! 🥳🎉🥳 I can relate to all the things money related. And the family gatherings. I'm looking forward to a sober Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, which hasn't happened in a while. And the bank account is slowly filling back up now that I'm not wasting all my money on wine. 😅 I'm almost at the 3 week mark and already notice a huge difference. Can't even imagine how much better off I'll be in two years! Thanks for giving me something to look forward to. ❤
I can hear the excitement in your voice and it’s wonderful. I really need this now. I’m on 1 year and 1 month sober. I do feel worried about pressure to drink when I meet some family members since we haven’t met in so long. Those kind of occasions. But I hope I can be strong like you. Many thanks.
I believe in and have participated in counseling with a professional therapist. The process really helps you gain new insights by looking at situations from a new angle.
