People are just pointing that quantity ≠ quality. And that's fair, that actually shows you cannot really master so many languages. I'm slowly coming to the pessimistic conclusion that at most a human can master about 5-7 languages, but not more. If you learn a language as a hobby, it's going to take several years to get somewhat good in it, acquire high and low registers of the language, learn to express yourself. The life is apparently too short to get eloquence in 18 languages.

Hey, great french dialogue but I would like to give you some advice to improve as it is still a bit confusing. In french you should use the formal "vous" instead of "tu" to talk to customers, and avoid the direct "toi, tu veux"="you, you want" as it sounds very intrusive. You should say "Est-ce que je peux vous aider" instead of "Est-ce que je peux aider vous". I don't really get why you said "on fait quelque chose"="we do something" right after, it seems like you ask them to do an activity together and it could even have a sexual overtone depending on the context haha. On short distances, we prefer to say "aller"="to go" rather than "marcher"="to walk". While "aller là-bas" means "to go over there", "marcher là-bas" is interpreted as "go over there, and once you are there, walk". To say "walk over there"; you prefer "marchez jusque là-bas". Finally, but this is never something we, as french, matter a lot when foreigners speak french because this is a real pain in the ass, you should say "s'il y a des voleurs" and "ce n'est pas un problème"
@Pan It's not a french expression it can't translate, it is an english expression. It's a colloquial way to say that it's boring/annoying/hard to deal with

Yeah, he actually struggles on the few I know at a higher level. He tries to use basic vocabulary when he is able to, and has the polyglot mistake of confusing similar languages - wondering wether they share same words as they would sound so right for a non native. But man that's a good job!
Yeah it’s true. I only speak Japanese and a bit of Spanish. But for example, it’s polite to use the usted/el/ella (‘you’ polite/he/she) when speaking to someone you just met, and not the tu (you) form, which he uses. Many polyglots jus focus on gaining a wealth of vocabulary and getting the minimum level of understanding of grammar in order to convey what they want to say and understand the other person, and their skills are not that polished. In the end, being proficient in one language is not seen as ‘as cool’ as learning 19 languages, but it takes the same amount of skill in my opinion

Some Germans interpret this as rude. You should say "Sie", for example:" Was möchten Sie trinken? "Sie" is genderneutral and fits for both Genders.
DarkRay It would be better sure but I guess the people arent mad about it.. they know german isnt his main language
very amazing idea and good video, you need to make more of these
Yeh, I wanna do more videos like this.
When speaking French, try to use "vous" instead of "tu" as personal pronouns when speaking to new people, it is considered much more polite, even though "vous" is a plural pronoun.
for example: "Tu veux?" is improper and you should say "Voulez-vous?" instead.
French is my mother tongue and I still made this mistake when I was young, so no worries, otherwise your French is very good,
Cheers!
If he spoke to you like he did to the couple, would you be offended? I'm curious.
@@FeverFo No, I would definitely not be offended. It's a very common mistake. Some people may think it is rude though.
@@khepera7913 even if it's clearly a foreigner? I've heard French people are very judgemental towards them
@@FeverFo yes, but to be fair only upper-class snobs would actually be offended.
@@FeverFo naaah French people aren't as judgemental as you may think if it's clearly a foreigner that doesn't perfectly speak the language most people wouldn't judge it, even upper class (I'm French btw)
Weird Flex but okay, ... I love how they just let a stranger work instantly
this guy looks like a dutch adam sandler XD
Bro he needs to fix his posture something about him makes me feel uncomfortable
Seems so rude..
Ririn Feb not “seems” - it’s really rude.
@@pngs kinda true though, his language proficiency is really impressive but he's kind of socially awkward and slouches while he stands which comes off as strange. Nothing personal against him I still admire his effort
Ririn Feb it’s his cervical extensors
April Ü his cervicale extensors are supposed to be extended but they are flexed. Likewise his cervicale flexors are supposed to be flexed but they are extended
Wow this is great. What a talented guy.“I speak 19 language i can also explain how a bike works“
The last thing I expected was for THIS guy to get a job! 😆
J/k Wouter, you have a great gift! It's not just for languages, it's for people too! You're a true communicator!👍
SUBBED!
The way he walks 😭
lousy is a bad thing haha doesn’t mean lazy. lousy just basically means not good
I think he wanted to said loud maybe 😂
The restaurant was called Coco's Outback: Lousy food and warm beer
Yeah, I thought he made a mistake when he said that, then I saw the sign, I guess the establishment's taking the piss out of itself and/or Australia.
lmcgregoruk - Yep, that’s what we Australians do.
bro, these places are so chill. He's like "can I work here for about 10 minutes?" they're like "oh yeah, this is great!" XD
Guy was talking arabic, Syrian Dialect. I know this because I. Fluent in 8 languages. 18 languages is amazing.
Nah, that was way too far from syrian, more like palestinian, or jordanian, he even knew hebrew, hence, he is palestinian..
When you are speaking Russian it’s more polite to address people with pronoun ‘Вы’ if you don’t know them in person or to a stranger instead of saying ‘Ты’.
I thought bylat was the proper way to address people.
@@HairyJuan Now that's what I call Russian proficiency. You're good at this.
0:34 the way he got dressed and walked, reminds me of Tony Montana😂
Awesome vid bro,keep it up
It doesn't matter if some think you make some mistakes. Language is about communication. As long as you make yourself understandable, that's all matters. Speaking 19 languages is so impressive, few can do that. With that skill, you can have any job. Love your channel, bro.
Absolutely right
Right-on
I disagree, I can speak 7 languages, but I am still looking for a damn job.
The Spanish one was kinda forceful
Poetry In Death u try to speak 19 languages
Se te nota
@@david-ql2ge who the fuck is talking about the way he spoke? I'm referring to the fact he was speaking to them too much in Spanish. He just wanted to show that he could and get a reaction but failed to do so and only made himself look like he was trying too hard to meet all their needs
@@RexVonTerror yes, se te nota means "it shows" am I wrong? If so you could help me out and correct me without being a fucking dick about it or you could continue as you are so the entire world can see how bitter you are.

How would you say it then? (Just wanna know the mistake)

I think when you said lousy and relaxed, lousy is a little bit offensive which is why he laughed 😂
In the restraunt title it says lousy Idk why though
I thought the suit was the worse thing about this video, then I saw how the guy was holding the pool que at 9:34...

Really appreciate this form of your art as well.
I wish this video would be a series.Or much longer. This is actually very cool.
He called the second shop lousy 😂😂😂😂
This guy must be on his Rosetta Stone shit every hour of the day
I think it's not really possible to learn 19 languages fluently.
“I want a hug!”
Yeah, he actually struggles on the few I know at a higher level.
He tries to use basic vocabulary when he is able to, and has the polyglot mistake of confusing similar languages - wondering wether they share same words as they would sound so right for a non native.
But man that's a good job!
It's possible. Many people already have mastered more than 20 languages.
@@jonl7855 A correction: "tú" is the personal pronoun not "tu", and it's depends on the culture and society the usage of "usted".
