    I have a question - Is the Oxi One sequencer sending out 4 separate MIDI channels over that 1 cable going in to the Oxi Split? Because it just seems like magic that you can choose which instrument to activate, and when - with one cable and a splitter, I would assume that there would be 1 signal, going out to all four instruments at all times. Sorry if this is a noob level question!

    • @JordiGarciaCasado
      @JordiGarciaCasado Час назад

      I think that every row on the OxiOne has their channel and you set the channel on every instrument, so the midi message goes to every instrument but only "reacts" when the channels match.

    if you really want this setup go go bonkers, plug a qu-16 in there and do per channel eqing, compression, limiting, side chaining and group outing with multiple fx sends and recallable scene setups that move the faders into position on switch.. for a lower cost option, use a small analog grouping mixer with an FX send and use something like a small sidechaining/master compressor lke the portico RNC or comparable devices

      The one presented here is roughly 2500-3000 USD (converted from european prices, in US it's probably cheaper) or more; i have no idea about Pioneer mixer price.
      If you want a do-it-all in a single box, consider Roland SP 404 MKII (the sampler presented here). It has everything: playing/recording samples, midi (connect a cheap controller or use it as controller itself), effects, line in/out (connect microphone, guitar, any other instrument, another synth, even use just as an effects box), sequencer (create entire songs, albums even), synthesizer (with one of recent updates, you can now generate sound and e.g. create own basslines) and much, much more (even live DJ mode). It's actively updated, Roland listens to their customers and keeps on improving the product, adding new feautres.
      Oh, and of course it's a mad beat machine, with pads serving as finger drum. Actually, it's kinda main purpose of it: making sample-based beats using velocity pads for live recording ;)
      Check out owner's manual from Roland website to get an idea of how feature-packed it is.

    • @dustykid100
      @dustykid100 Год назад +2

      In theory yes, all of the individual instruments he showed have their own in-built sequencer. So you would have to sequence all the notes you want on their individual sequencer and sync them together so they all Play on Time when you hit play. ONLY thing is that The keyboard would Only be able to control 1 of the synthesizer Only and not all of them how it's showing in the video.

    • @Austin.1390

      @@dustykid100 that you that has been very helpful I've been looking to build a setup like this bur with just the keyboard and mixer so you can't see the synths so it's nice and neat

      Some people, that for example spend entire day in front of a computer screen (day job etc.), like to go hardware-only route when it comes to making music (hobby, relax, spare/free tme). After all, you want to take a break from computers (especially if you work in IT).
