Mario Tennis was simple & fun with great physics & graphics. Pick up and play anytime. The kids loved it !! Not a complicated mess of button combinations like all the tennis games on future systems.
Carmageddon was an extremely violent PC game, the 64 port is infamous for how bad it is, and for changing the pedestrians to zombies and the blood to green slime
Cool channel. Was so excited when announced. Channel scanned day of. Kinda bland in the beginning but now it's really getting there. A good late night chill. Especially Saturday after super sci fi Saturday night.
I didn’t care much for the Hercules tv show but the N64 game was fun especially the later game. Like a more arcade style Ocarina light action rpg. What’s wrong with the actor??
With John Riggs talking Hydroplane racing it makes me think of...Bill Munsey driving? Piloting? Captaining? The Atlas Van Lines Hydroplane and constantly winning in the 70s.
Hey Riggs, yeah I'm old enough to remember in the 90s Looney Tunes characters being crazy popular again, college sports teams jackets too, Michigan Wolverines was Tasmanian Devil, I know cuz I had it 😂 Good times 🔥💯
Vigilante 8 ( 1 and 2') was a great game everywhere. The fact that the vheicles had better physics than the ones on Twisted Metal, the game was a little tough to control.
Man, you and me are of one mind on Majora's Mask. Every word you said was in my head before you said it. I felt/feel the same way for the same reasons. I'm glad it's there for folks who dig it, but it's definitely not my bag.
You said you wish there was a Mario Dodgeball game... well there is dodgeball in Mario Sports Mix on Wii, and it's pretty good. Another Mario sports game that I wish they would make is Mario Wrestling!
Love your content, John! Do you do interviews or collab for discussions with other content creators? I have a late night talk show that goes live on Wednesdays at 10PM EST and I’d love to have you on and chat video games
Luxoflux didn't come from SingleTrac. Vigilante 8 was pretty much an Interstate '76 spinoff, and the people behind Vigilante 8 did make a Star Wars game on the same engine though. If you ever wanted to trash a podracer as an AT-ST there you go. After that they were bought by Activision and made... the Shrek 2 game. Oh, Activision...
OgreBattle RULES. It's a slog in the beginning, but once your medieval platoon of brawlers gain better equipment & experience, an Epic WAR sweeps over the continent.
Perfect Dark: The game I've heard about many times during years, just never played/owned the game. I also never played Kirby 64. My fav. N64 game was probably Quake 64, which came out in 1998. Back in the days I had 8 N64 games, pretty weird I didn't own all 3 Turok games or 2 Zelda games for N64. I also never owned Banjo Kazooie 64.
Best N64 game of the year 2000 I think is perfect dark because that is my favorite N64 game of all time. Yes I did also play GoldenEye growing up but perfect dark was a huge improvement in every way. I look forward to the list when I watch the video
I have good memories of taking on bots with my friend in Perfect Dark multiplayer. We always played on the level with the glass ceiling just so we could shoot at it and watch it rain glass😂.
Clearly you didn't watch Cartoon Network back in the day, they had a block on the network that played Looney Tunes cartoons and it's how kids like me were educated on those shorts.
Were the days before DLC where you had to unlock things really great? How about buying a fighting game day one and you go home to play with friends and half the roster is locked? How about when you put all the hard work into unlocking everything and something happens to your save or memory card? DLC sucks but locking things behind gameplay wasn't much better.
I grew up on Hercules and Xena. Couldn’t do Sinbad, and Kevin Sarbo is the Hercules you’re referring to (I know you’re not doing a Voldemort/can’t say his name, but FYI 😂)
Stop reminding me that I've spent more time in the 21st than the 20th Century. Now Starcraft 64, that's timeless. I last played it before I moved. Haven't played Ogre Battle for even longer. Have both of them and they are originals. No repros here.
Hercules was blah, but Xena- that game is terrible but so much cheesy fun! 😂 Nice list, John. Most I know, and own quite a few. But there were a few I’d never played. Can’t wait to get that Analogue 3D! Thank you, sir !
I love you John, but saying you prefer Turok 3 to Turok 2, one of the all time worst sequels, to perhaps the single best n64 game of all time, is the single most monstrous thing I've ever heard on youtube. Turok 2 is absolutely phenomenal, and turok 3 is a disgrace to the medium. *everybody is entitled, to their opinion, but I couldn't let that one stand.
I do like retro video games! I watch a lot of these types of videos! For the nostalgia! But to me N64 I absolutely didn't care for! After N64 which I got rid of very fast! After a short while!
I'm sorry. I gotta say it or I'm not gna be able to sleep. You say prevalent wrong. It's not "prevail-ent". Its "prev- uh- lent". Prevail is a totally different word and meaning. Prevalent. Say it. Prev - uh- lent.
How am I feeling? Effing old!
Go out and get some fresh air and exercise
I loved Hercules and Xena on my black and white television back in the day.
Majora's Mask and No Mercy were definitely my two most-played N64 games in 2000.
Pokémon stadium was my favorite game on N64 in 2000.
Are you kidding, Mario Tennis is STILL s-tier to this day.
Yes, I just turned 46 on Tuesday. Squandered youth!
Mario Tennis was simple & fun with great physics & graphics. Pick up and play anytime. The kids loved it !! Not a complicated mess of button combinations like all the tennis games on future systems.

Spiderman attaches to a Lakitu
My daughter and I were watching Duck Dodgers and the 24 1/2 Century on Me TV Toons the other day. She loves it!
Cool channel. Was so excited when announced. Channel scanned day of. Kinda bland in the beginning but now it's really getting there. A good late night chill. Especially Saturday after super sci fi Saturday night.
Some of you guys are too young to remember this console, I personally am too old! Looking good as always, John!
Ogre Battle 64 is one of the best N64 games
10:31 it’s both the original and Brood war expansion on one cartridge, which is special for that reason alone
I didn’t care much for the Hercules tv show but the N64 game was fun especially the later game.
Like a more arcade style Ocarina light action rpg.
What’s wrong with the actor??
I assume you're fishing for a fight or you'd just google it.
I got my n64 Christmas of '99, 12 going on 13, with Smash Bros being the first game.. so I was definitely in the market for anything released in 2000.
With John Riggs talking Hydroplane racing it makes me think of...Bill Munsey driving? Piloting? Captaining? The Atlas Van Lines Hydroplane and constantly winning in the 70s.
Took the Nintendo 64 a few years to get rolling. 2000 was a good year for the N64.
When Singletrac left Sony, leaving Twisted Metal with Sony, they made "Rogue Trip", not Vigilante 8.
Remember Pokemon stadium so much because we got to see how our Pokemon looked in 3D. That was a really fun experience.
Hey Riggs, yeah I'm old enough to remember in the 90s Looney Tunes characters being crazy popular again, college sports teams jackets too, Michigan Wolverines was Tasmanian Devil, I know cuz I had it 😂 Good times 🔥💯
NES was still my primary console at the time
Vigilante 8 ( 1 and 2') was a great game everywhere. The fact that the vheicles had better physics than the ones on Twisted Metal, the game was a little tough to control.
Holy cow I feel old. Great stuff as always John
Also how do you feel about Raw being on Netflix?
Man, you and me are of one mind on Majora's Mask. Every word you said was in my head before you said it. I felt/feel the same way for the same reasons. I'm glad it's there for folks who dig it, but it's definitely not my bag.
I couldn't get into Majora's Mask similar to your reason, John. It seemed DLC and I did play it upon release. Beat it but even to this day, it's ehhh.
You said you wish there was a Mario Dodgeball game... well there is dodgeball in Mario Sports Mix on Wii, and it's pretty good. Another Mario sports game that I wish they would make is Mario Wrestling!

Banjo Tooie is my favorite 2000s game.

Selling air fresheners ???? Strange and gross !!! Love your channel !!

Xena and Hercules took place in same universe on the 2 TV shows.
Great video !!! I don’t know how you remember all these games ??? You stated you don’t do research.
Joust... One of the best.
Best N64 game of the year 2000 I think is perfect dark because that is my favorite N64 game of all time. Yes I did also play GoldenEye growing up but perfect dark was a huge improvement in every way. I look forward to the list when I watch the video
Mr Riggs i would love a new air freshener flavor: Smoking the joint by the dumpster behind the arcade flavor
I have good memories of taking on bots with my friend in Perfect Dark multiplayer. We always played on the level with the glass ceiling just so we could shoot at it and watch it rain glass😂.

Oh the YEAR 2000. I was about to say, the N64 didn't even have 1000 games.... 😅
Stop reminding me that I've spent more time in the 21st than the 20th Century. Now Starcraft 64, that's timeless. I last played it before I moved. Haven't played Ogre Battle for even longer. Have both of them and they are originals. No repros here.
The bowling game feels like the beginning of wii sports
Riggs the Rabbit! Riggs the Rabbit! You just had to remind me of how far my junior and senior year in high school was!
Bro existential intro.
Happy to hear you dump on Sorbo!
Random fact, I have rare replay for Xbox one on disk, came with Conkers.
The same game on Xbox game pass does not have Conkers... Weird.
Way to make a guy feel old with your opening there, John. 🤣
29:30 Batman beyond didn’t have a comic origin
Hercules was blah, but Xena- that game is terrible but so much cheesy fun! 😂
Nice list, John. Most I know, and own quite a few. But there were a few I’d never played. Can’t wait to get that Analogue 3D! Thank you, sir !
So much memories!!!! I love your videos brother!!! Keep it up!!!
I feel the same about Majoras Mask tried several times, same with skyward sword
Hi Riggs 😁👋
Great video!
Just ordered some stuff from your shop.
Stoooppp makin me feel OLD
I'm with you John I remember the Marvin the Martian resurgence 😅
Hydro Thunder is one of the best Arcade racers of all time IMO.
No me recuerdes el 2000 era joven y tenia una melena como Fabio
Ahora estoy calvo
I do like retro video games! I watch a lot of these types of videos! For the nostalgia! But to me N64 I absolutely didn't care for! After N64 which I got rid of very fast! After a short while!
Ooh a new one noice!
Beast Wars was awesome. You missed out.
it was, that game is horrendous though, evidently the ps1 version is a lot better, but still bad.
starcraft 64 is missing the cd quality "YOU MUST CONSTRUCT ADDITIONAL PYLONS."
Kevin Sorbo is a good man
I still play Perfect Dark!
That game is too gud
well now i feel old lol
Love your videos! Thanks!
I'm sorry. I gotta say it or I'm not gna be able to sleep. You say prevalent wrong. It's not "prevail-ent". Its "prev- uh- lent". Prevail is a totally different word and meaning. Prevalent. Say it. Prev - uh- lent.
I like Kevin, and I like you😉
Kevin Sorbo is awesome!
Kevin Sorbo is the opposite of awesome, the guy is a loony garbage person.
MAJORA'S MASK IS SPOILER
YOUR GOING THROUGH THE STAGES OF DEATH GAME THEORY HAS A VIDEO EXPLAINING X.Y.Z
❤
