I don’t understand the dislikes! Super helpful video. My AD had no clue. Finally I now get to wear it properly. THANK YOU!
I have small wrists so my BB clasp was a bit off-centered. Even to the last link I was a bit bummed out but then tried this method. You sir just made me love my BB even more, thanks for this :)
Thank you my friend. You are a life saver. This was the only way I could remove my half link on my date day 39mm watch. It now fits perfectly. Before, it was coming up a little loose or a little tight. Thanks again
I was struggling to get a perfect fit on the GMT until I saw this! Cheers mate!
Great to hear :-)
Mate you saved me 50 dollars from buying a set of half links. Thanks a lot!
Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Just followed these steps to the letter and have adjusted my GMT bracelet without any issues. Easy, took just 5-10 minutes max and that was taking extra care. My local AD wouldn't make any attempt to remove the fliplock so I did it myself. For info, I used the following tools:
Bergeon 1.4mm screwdriver for link removal
No.2/0 size darning needle for fliplock removal (got a pack of 6 No.5/0-1/0 from Hobby Craft for a couple of quid)
Bergeon 6767-F spring bar removal tool for micro-adjust (if required, you could probably use the needle if you don't need to be posh!)
Regular watch bracelet holder block
A couple of layers of tape to ensure no scratches!
Thanks for this great video - I can now enjoy this beautiful piece with a perfect fit on my wrist!
Great to hear, glad I helped
God send, didn’t know I could do this, now my pelly fits perfect!
I can’t say enough thank you. I’ve had mine for two days trying to figure out how to remove one of those links without destroying the band. I think it was a design flaw not to remove one extra link from that side. But again I can’t say enough thank you!
i had this idea but was afraid to try it - thanks for sharing this. this hack is useful because i ended up having to leave that link in place and its is short on one side. still looks good but could be more centered
My AD wasn't aware of this too and was pleasantly surprised when I suggested removing the clasp-link to fine adjust my North Flag (mostly to keep the clasp more centred).
Haha great to hear :-)
Fantastic! I’ll share this video when someone complains they cannot center their clasp on a Tudor Pepsi. Thanks a bunch.
You are a legend! Now my watch fits properly!
Glad to hear it 👍👍👍
Ok this was such a helpful review! On my BB 79220N I had to take off 3 links but the clasp was never centred on the bottom of my wrist. Now it is 😘! Much appreciated 👊
* Helpful video
FYI, I used a wooden toothpick to remove the small spring bar, no scratches 😊
Thanks for sharing this! I showed my AD and they were able to center the clasp for me.
You can also do this with just a toothpick.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Worked like a charm
Great to hear 👍👍👍
What a stupid pain in the ass this bracelet is.
I have the tutor Blackbay GMT 41 mm. I just found on their website they do make a 1/2 link for this model also.
Thank you!! I got a perfect fit now
You literally saved my life!!! I just bought this watch and the dealer took all the links out. The band was still too big. It made the watch uncomfortable and awkward as the watch rotated around my wrist. I was hating this purchase and was going to drill out a rivet. I will send you some money for this tip. My watch now fits perfectly!!! I now love my BB again!!! The Tudor AD had no idea you could do this!!!
P.S. Tried to send you some money on Patreon. It is asking me to create content when I click on your link. Can I paypal you?
Is it possible to completely remove the clasp? My only dislike of this watch is the rivets on the bracelet. So I was wondering if you could remove the clasp and put it on a similar style bracelet, like a strapcode...
With some experimentation maybe I guess. However the finishing may be different and make the swap stand out, plus you’d need a tight fit between the bracelet and clasp for it to not rattle
Thank you!!!! Been looking all over the answer to this mystery
Haha great to hear
Thank you for this
you sir, a life saver! Cheers!
This is GREAT. Big thanks!
Thanks Jake :-)
Thanks! Very helpful!
Excellent video thanks for taking the team to share this!
Interesting piece of information. ⌚️⏱👍
Clasp in the center, thats AD trained to do and they know it, I tried bringing to grey market the staff does not know how to center it, than I took it to AD, they said they were trained to help guests center the clasp
I wish the bracelet had a couple more micro adjustments. I want to be able to wear mine on the tightest micro adjustment hole or at least the middle one so that I can make it a bit looser on the fly. The way I have it now is very comfortable but I have it on the loosest hole so I’ve got no option for making it slightly looser if needed. When I add a link back in, it fits too loose for me even in the tightest micro adjustment hole. Maybe I just need to go on a diet 😂
Why not remove one link from each side? That will keep the clasp centered on your wrist.
Exactly you had to be a rocket scientist to figure that out all that when you can remove one link from each side
Hello there from Plymouth. I just subbed to your channel grate content .i just thought id drop a comment about this one as i honestly thought everhone knew this is how bracelets worked .i think maybe this might be a sign just how bad my watch addiction and nerddom is wouldnt you say ? At least you have it as bad at the very least lol
exactly. perfect video ty
Does this work wit non-rivetted bracelets? from BB ETA models?
WoW!!! Excellente astuce !!! Merci!
Thanks for the comment
What a polava. I think I will get the AD to size mine.
Not a bad idea :-)
I love the Tudor Pepsi GMT...it looks nicer than the new rolex pepsi gmt..
Thank you
Can you remove one link from either side of the clasp to keep it central?
brian connolly exactly this!!!!!
Yep! One would've thought that removing a link from each side would've been the most logical way to centre the clasp??? It's just common sense isn't it? This "hack" seems a little unnecessary...
No. There’s only two removable links on one side of the Tudor bracelet.
Artagain hmmm unless they’ve stupidly changed it on the GMT, my Black Bay Black has adjustability links on both sides. Wouldn’t think Tudor would change something that’s been standard across all watch bracelet design.
There's absolutely no way to centre the clasp unless this hack is implemented. It won't come around far enough to the middle without the removal of the flip lock.
what is your wrist size ?
Why does Tudor make such clunky watch cases. Top down they look wonderful, but their profile leaves a lot to desire.
I agree, too slab-sided currently
So true! I sold my BB Steel & Gold for this very reason!
With the cash I bought the BB Fifty Eight and it is absolutely awesome. Tudor nailed it with the 58!
@@WatchHobbyist what is the pin you used to remove the flip lock? Do you know where I can get one?
ETA ones are the way to go
The case is wider than your wrist…..
Any date wheel issue?
Just go to a professional....
Why do a video that doesn’t actually show the process, what a waste.
What a waist of my time.. nothing learned here. Pfffffsss
