Sprayed a lil 68 over it… OMG I can’t stop smelling myself 😂 I purchased the cream right away but unfortunately no mist. 😭 I went right online and purchased it. I was so excited when you mentioned the Saie being a dupe for the Chanel bronzer until you put the ingredients up on the screen. It contains fragrance, which the Chanel did also, and was the reason I could not try the Chanel. I really wish these companies would stop putting fragrance into so many products!! If anyone knows of a similar product with out fragrance please share id love to try it!!! Great video!!!!
Just recently got that Skin Iceland Astaxanthin serum and it has grown on me. On first use I wasn’t crazy about the consistency. But now I try to use it in a more simple routine and it does better. It’s kind of crazy that it dries down to a completely invisible finish. It’s like you applied nothing on your face once it dries. No detection of oil at all which is odd since it has 6 oils in the formulation. It dries down completely matte, almost sticky. Which I love
For me I’m comparing it to my other 2 astaxanthin products (Osmosis and Epicuren) and both of those require fulvic acid to make them usable (completely my humble opinion lol). The Skyn Iceland doesn’t-although it does also benefit from mixing some fulvic. So out of the 3 it’s the best consistency (imo). I rotate those 3 (I don’t mind using fulvic at all and the Epicuren and Osmosis are definitely great). Because astaxanthin (both ingested and topically) likes fats I suppose it’s a formulating challenge to include oil without making the product greasy. I’m glad you’re using astaxanthin, it’s SO good for the skin. Check out (if you haven’t already) astaxanthin supplements (and as a man the contraindications). Studies show that best results come with using it both topically and ingesting it. 🧡

Auburn is likely next ☺️ I wanted to go red to start but chickened out lol My mom and grandma were red-heads so I think my skin would look ok with auburn. I tend to run warm in my natural color (probably also why my blonde was always slightly yellow….I could not get past the warmth). Anyway, yes! Auburn is on the list and thank you ❤️❤️

Started using DRMTLGY Night cream as per your recommendation. I used to use the 3M cream and I agree that it does resemble the 3M in texture. I love it. I use it after Epicuren enzyme concentrate, it makes my skin look great

I was obsessed with Lauren for most of my life. From 14 to 40 it was all I wore, but it exists no more, I guess and I've found nothing else like it. I LOVE honeysuckle, so i used Wild Honeysuckle for a while, but that's discontinued also and fake Honeysuckle just doesn't do it... if anyone knows something, please let me know! One thing: I smelled the Billie Wilish perfume and was shocked at how good it smells! Celebrity stuff just doesn't do it for me, but that perfume smells wonderful!
Hi Penny! Have you heard of/tried the Astaxanthin Stemcell Toner by Graymelin? It seems to have nice ingredients, including copper peptides, green tea, and licorice root, but only 2.5ppm of the astaxanthin (not sure how much is needed to be effective).

Love dupes videos and ones that are still higher end items just less expensive then the original product. Another dupe is the Rose inc tinted water serum dupe for the Chanel water tint . I love the Rose inc one and it's frangerance free and the Chanel is not but so very similar.

I can happily report that the combo of the spray and the cream is almost a dead ringer for the BR 540 Extrait. And the cream worn alone smells more like the Extrait the longer you’ve had it on. What a terrific discovery to share 💗
Penny or anyone that has tried the osmosis replenish and the epicuren orac… do u like one more than the other ? And do you use it in the morning before your vitamin c? I use a very thin liquid like vit c . So I would think that should go 1st. Thanks for any information!!!
I think I prefer the Epicuren-and I like it mixed with fulvic acid spray. I definitely use it after my C because my vitamin c is watery also so that makes most sense to me. I like that the Epicuren can be used every few days and is effective-this allows me flexibility in my AM routine ❤️

Hi Penny it's always great to find more affordable alternatives. My skin is freaking out right now with a lot of rosacea flares and my eyes are also affected. I'm keeping things super simple for that reason. but it's always interesting to see what's out there lol. My latest absolute favourite product is the Paula's choice clinical ultra rich cream - this is what my skin has been craving for a long time. Of all the moisturisers I have tried and there have been so many (supposedly targeted at dry skin), most have always left me still wanting more and with tight/dry skin by the end of the day. For overnight I have completely given up on face creams and use a body cream, as I need that extra rich texture and extra occlusion overnight - I'm really dry, rosacea and eczema prone. I don't mind my creams being a bit greasy for overnight and I can slather them on due to the large size - currently the LRP baby Lipikar AP+M. During the day I need my moisturiser to work under spf and makeup (body creams are just too rich for that). Enter in the PC Clinical ultra rich cream - a smooth buttery texture that leaves my face soft and comfortable all day, but sinks in and I can wear it under spf and makeup. In the colder months the PC isn't enough alone overnight, but for during the day it is ideal for me. The only other I have tried that is fairly close is the skincity extreme barrier cream - works really well, but I prefer the texture of the PC. I do of course use my toner, essence and serums/actives underneath, but not feeling like I need more moisturiser by the afternoon is really unusual and I'm happy about it. I'm still using the Niod MG everyday and it is a great serum for my skin type, as a bit of an all rounder for the morning. I also get centella, pycnogenal, green tea etc etc in my toner and essence to amp up my morning antioxidants. I'm still using prescription azelaic acid and a retinaldehyde as my main actives (including the Avene physiolift eye for a retinaldehyde eye cream). I just have to be really cautious what I use on my skin right now and obviously avoid the retinoid around my eyes if the rosacea is flaring (I use a thin layer of vaseline around the lash line before using it any day - just in case of worsening any dry eye symptoms from the occular rosacea). Best wishes.
It’s hard bc azelaic acid can dry us out but helps with the flare up/rosacea….a trade off! I have a couple products from Avene that have helped when I need heavy hitters at night. I completely get you on the daytime/under makeup situation too. I have some of PC omega line-the cleaning balm and the serum (which is more like a gel cream serum) and those are VERY helpful to my dry skin at night. I’ll double check my avene product (I can’t remember which one is my fave heavy hitter…it’s either tolerance or one that has an X In it….I have to look. I use several things from avene (my faves are without fragrance). You’re so smart to be cautious bc one day/night of irritation can set you back a while! ❤️
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE Thanks I do use a lot of Avene, but the moisturiser I like best from them is the 200ml face and body version for night time. The day creams aren't rich enough - even the new tolerance balm. they'll be fine moving into the warmer months and I'll use them up, but their moisturisers for dry/very dry/irritated skin just aren't rich enough during the colder months for me. I like a lot of their products and the fragrance free items don't irritate, but they don't last all day in keeping my skin feeling soft/comfortable. The other PC moisturisers don't either - just the clinical ultra rich version is the star performer for me. I do like the omega line and it's something I have used and enjoyed, but I still like the ultra rich better. I think I might try their ultra rich body butter for overnight after the Spring/Summer is over. x
I actually use a growth serum and I find that my lashes are so long! The growth serum - mine is by Obagi- is expensive but I guess it replaces my lash serum, so that’s good!
Hi! Thank you 😊 Look for products with arbutin, tranexamic acid, kojic acid, niacinamide, and glutathione (just off the top of my head, and not that you need all those in one). Check out Naturium’s tranexamic acid-it’s a great, affordable brightener that works well with other topicals. Also of course sunscreen. So boring, I know, but when I got very diligent with my sunscreen my hyperpigmentation definitely improved. 😊 I hope this helps! ❤️

Hi Penny, what do you think about the astaxantin cream of DHC? It literally smells like an algae, but I don’t know if you get the antioxidant effects if it’s in a form of cream?
I have the DHC product and I’m not sold on it. I think it is the texture (exactly what you’re saying). It’s actually very nice but I’m not sure about the antioxidants in gel/cream. DHC is a great brand though so I’m not writing it off yet! Im going to give it a couple weeks of wear first and I’ll report back 🧡
I would love for you to do a deep dive into Dragon’s Blood. I got a sample the other day and I really liked the results. It’s supposed to be a super strong antioxidant with wound healing properties.
Did you get the Dragon’s blood from Rodial by any chance? I’ve tried that one. I loved it at the time but did not research dragons blood (as an ingredient). I’ll have to dig in!
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE It was actually a product from a Korean brand. It is the Dragon’s Blood Repairing Lotion by a brand Jenduoste or Jourdeness. The original sample said Jourdeness, but the full size says Jenduoste. I’m not sure if they are the same or if YesStyle sent me the wrong product.

I would love to see how you incorporate photozyme, One Skin, Revive, vitamin C (Timeless?), retin A or similar… and many of your other favorites that you use. I haven’t tried the body spray (I’m not sure they have one?) but the extrait definitely lasts FAR longer. I compare the SDJ mist to the BR hair mist and the lasting power of both is similar. Have you tried layering the SDJ body cream then using the mist? That helps the longevity (I’m sure you already know that 🥰). I’m so glad you like it!

Most articles I read about RF facials and many RUclipsrs recommend 4-6 weeks gap, but I have seen you and 1 other saying you can RF a few times a week. Is it because you are using the Newa device which is gentler/safer? I have a tripolar adjustable level device as I can’t afford a Newa at present. Well the actual bum bum cream doesn’t. This is the Beija Flor from Sol De Janeiro and it doesn’t smell as much like the BR 540 (original) as it does the extrait. Honestly it’s so spot on I can’t imagine not seeing the connection! But yes, our noses are all different for sure 🥰
What’s crazy is I always get so many compliments if I wear the original Bum Bum cream and the BR540 Extrait together. I get compliments standing in line at Subway, at the Dr, at the gas station, it always happens without fail.

No, I stopped because my eyelashes get too curly. As in the curl all they way around and touch my eyelid…then they look shorter and are wild. I get really great lashes for several months and then…the curling takes over. But the orbital fat loss and darkening side effects are not good either!
Hi Penn, I am confused about the SkinMedica TNS serum dupe. Reviv Serum is a hair product while TNS is a growth factor serum, I use the SkinMedica serum but I don't apply it on my eyelashes.
Reviv Serum is a facial product just like TNS. And no-it’s not meant to be applied specifically to the eyelashes-but when putting it on the face it can go around the eyes without issue. I think Reviv does make a hair product-but I’m referring to their skin product in this video ❤️
So confused about the connection between the serum and eyelash health/growth! Are people applying it TO their lashes?? Or is it just through product migration?
I think when they’re applying it they go over their eyelids etc. For me it’s completely fine around the eyes (not irritating in the least) so I use it all around my eyes. THEN yes, I’d assume some migration to the lash area (I’m definitely not intentionally rubbing it in to my lash line) 😊

Hmm. Obviously if you live near a Saks or bigger Nordstrom they’ll have testers (but most of us don’t). I bet if you called they’d send out samples. I used to get samples from Barney’s sent to me (skincare and fragrance) but sadly they closed 😞 It’s worth a call though to cosmetics in either Neiman Marcus, Saks or Nordstrom to ask! ❤️

I was so excited when you mentioned the Saie being a dupe for the Chanel bronzer until you put the ingredients up on the screen. It contains fragrance, which the Chanel did also, and was the reason I could not try the Chanel. I really wish these companies would stop putting fragrance into so many products!! Just recently got that Skin Iceland Astaxanthin serum and it has grown on me. On first use I wasn’t crazy about the consistency. But now I try to use it in a more simple routine and it does better. It’s kind of crazy that it dries down to a completely invisible finish. It’s like you applied nothing on your face once it dries. No detection of oil at all which is odd since it has 6 oils in the formulation. It dries down completely matte, almost sticky. Which I love
For me I’m comparing it to my other 2 astaxanthin products (Osmosis and Epicuren) and both of those require fulvic acid to make them usable (completely my humble opinion lol). The Skyn Iceland doesn’t-although it does also benefit from mixing some fulvic.
So out of the 3 it’s the best consistency (imo).
I rotate those 3 (I don’t mind using fulvic at all and the Epicuren and Osmosis are definitely great).
Because astaxanthin (both ingested and topically) likes fats I suppose it’s a formulating challenge to include oil without making the product greasy.
I’m glad you’re using astaxanthin, it’s SO good for the skin. Check out (if you haven’t already) astaxanthin supplements (and as a man the contraindications). Studies show that best results come with using it both topically and ingesting it. 🧡

I LOVE honeysuckle, so i used Wild Honeysuckle for a while, but that's discontinued also and fake Honeysuckle just doesn't do it... if anyone knows something, please let me know! One thing: I smelled the Billie Wilish perfume and was shocked at how good it smells! Celebrity stuff just doesn't do it for me, but that perfume smells wonderful!

Hi Penny! Have you heard of/tried the Astaxanthin Stemcell Toner by Graymelin? It seems to have nice ingredients, including copper peptides, green tea, and licorice root, but only 2.5ppm of the astaxanthin (not sure how much is needed to be effective).

Love dupes videos and ones that are still higher end items just less expensive then the original product. Another dupe is the Rose inc tinted water serum dupe for the Chanel water tint . I love the Rose inc one and it's frangerance free and the Chanel is not but so very similar.

I can happily report that the combo of the spray and the cream is almost a dead ringer for the BR 540 Extrait. And the cream worn alone smells more like the Extrait the longer you’ve had it on. What a terrific discovery to share 💗
Penny or anyone that has tried the osmosis replenish and the epicuren orac… do u like one more than the other ? And do you use it in the morning before your vitamin c? I use a very thin liquid like vit c . So I would think that should go 1st. Thanks for any information!!!
I think I prefer the Epicuren-and I like it mixed with fulvic acid spray. I definitely use it after my C because my vitamin c is watery also so that makes most sense to me.
I like that the Epicuren can be used every few days and is effective-this allows me flexibility in my AM routine ❤️

Hi Penny it's always great to find more affordable alternatives. My skin is freaking out right now with a lot of rosacea flares and my eyes are also affected. I'm keeping things super simple for that reason. but it's always interesting to see what's out there lol.
My latest absolute favourite product is the Paula's choice clinical ultra rich cream - this is what my skin has been craving for a long time. Of all the moisturisers I have tried and there have been so many (supposedly targeted at dry skin), most have always left me still wanting more and with tight/dry skin by the end of the day. For overnight I have completely given up on face creams and use a body cream, as I need that extra rich texture and extra occlusion overnight - I'm really dry, rosacea and eczema prone. I don't mind my creams being a bit greasy for overnight and I can slather them on due to the large size - currently the LRP baby Lipikar AP+M. During the day I need my moisturiser to work under spf and makeup (body creams are just too rich for that). Enter in the PC Clinical ultra rich cream - a smooth buttery texture that leaves my face soft and comfortable all day, but sinks in and I can wear it under spf and makeup. In the colder months the PC isn't enough alone overnight, but for during the day it is ideal for me. The only other I have tried that is fairly close is the skincity extreme barrier cream - works really well, but I prefer the texture of the PC. I do of course use my toner, essence and serums/actives underneath, but not feeling like I need more moisturiser by the afternoon is really unusual and I'm happy about it. I'm still using the Niod MG everyday and it is a great serum for my skin type, as a bit of an all rounder for the morning. I also get centella, pycnogenal, green tea etc etc in my toner and essence to amp up my morning antioxidants. I'm still using prescription azelaic acid and a retinaldehyde as my main actives (including the Avene physiolift eye for a retinaldehyde eye cream). I just have to be really cautious what I use on my skin right now and obviously avoid the retinoid around my eyes if the rosacea is flaring (I use a thin layer of vaseline around the lash line before using it any day - just in case of worsening any dry eye symptoms from the occular rosacea). Best wishes.
It’s hard bc azelaic acid can dry us out but helps with the flare up/rosacea….a trade off!
I have a couple products from Avene that have helped when I need heavy hitters at night. I completely get you on the daytime/under makeup situation too.
I have some of PC omega line-the cleaning balm and the serum (which is more like a gel cream serum) and those are VERY helpful to my dry skin at night.
I’ll double check my avene product (I can’t remember which one is my fave heavy hitter…it’s either tolerance or one that has an X In it….I have to look. I use several things from avene (my faves are without fragrance).
You’re so smart to be cautious bc one day/night of irritation can set you back a while! ❤️

@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE Thanks I do use a lot of Avene, but the moisturiser I like best from them is the 200ml face and body version for night time. The day creams aren't rich enough - even the new tolerance balm. they'll be fine moving into the warmer months and I'll use them up, but their moisturisers for dry/very dry/irritated skin just aren't rich enough during the colder months for me. I like a lot of their products and the fragrance free items don't irritate, but they don't last all day in keeping my skin feeling soft/comfortable. The other PC moisturisers don't either - just the clinical ultra rich version is the star performer for me. I do like the omega line and it's something I have used and enjoyed, but I still like the ultra rich better. I think I might try their ultra rich body butter for overnight after the Spring/Summer is over. x
I actually use a growth serum and I find that my lashes are so long! The growth serum - mine is by Obagi- is expensive but I guess it replaces my lash serum, so that’s good!

Look for products with arbutin, tranexamic acid, kojic acid, niacinamide, and glutathione (just off the top of my head, and not that you need all those in one).
Check out Naturium’s tranexamic acid-it’s a great, affordable brightener that works well with other topicals.
Also of course sunscreen. So boring, I know, but when I got very diligent with my sunscreen my hyperpigmentation definitely improved. 😊

I have the DHC product and I’m not sold on it. I think it is the texture (exactly what you’re saying).

I would love for you to do a deep dive into Dragon’s Blood. I got a sample the other day and I really liked the results. It’s supposed to be a super strong antioxidant with wound healing properties.
Did you get the Dragon’s blood from Rodial by any chance? I’ve tried that one. I loved it at the time but did not research dragons blood (as an ingredient). I’ll have to dig in!

Hi Penney! I took your advice and got the Soldejeneiro #68. Omg, I'm hooked! The only problem for me is the scent is gone in 30 minutes. I foresee me me buying the Bakarat Rouge 540 Extrait in the near future. In your opinion, does the actual Bakarat Rouge 540 body spray last longer than #68?
I haven’t tried the body spray (I’m not sure they have one?) but the extrait definitely lasts FAR longer. I compare the SDJ mist to the BR hair mist and the lasting power of both is similar. Have you tried layering the SDJ body cream then using the mist? That helps the longevity (I’m sure you already know that 🥰).

I am already using Avene Retinaldehyde and, AHA and recently add Resveratrol
DNA repair would be my choice. I love my GF but if I had to choose I’d choose DNA repair every time. Especially with sun damage! ❤️

Most articles I read about RF facials and many RUclipsrs recommend 4-6 weeks gap, but I have seen you and 1 other saying you can RF a few times a week. Is it because you are using the Newa device which is gentler/safer? I have a tripolar adjustable level device as I can’t afford a Newa at present. Well the actual bum bum cream doesn’t. This is the Beija Flor from Sol De Janeiro and it doesn’t smell as much like the BR 540 (original) as it does the extrait.

No, I stopped because my eyelashes get too curly. As in the curl all they way around and touch my eyelid…then they look shorter and are wild. I get really great lashes for several months and then…the curling takes over.
But the orbital fat loss and darkening side effects are not good either!
Hi Penn, I am confused about the SkinMedica TNS serum dupe. Reviv Serum is a hair product while TNS is a growth factor serum, I use the SkinMedica serum but I don't apply it on my eyelashes.
Reviv Serum is a facial product just like TNS. And no-it’s not meant to be applied specifically to the eyelashes-but when putting it on the face it can go around the eyes without issue.
I think Reviv does make a hair product-but I’m referring to their skin product in this video ❤️

I think when they’re applying it they go over their eyelids etc.
For me it’s completely fine around the eyes (not irritating in the least) so I use it all around my eyes. THEN yes, I’d assume some migration to the lash area (I’m definitely not intentionally rubbing it in to my lash line) 😊

With the revive I bought it to use it for your cosmetic needling protocol with copper peptides, how ever as came up in your FB group revive shouldn't be used with copper peptides, so way would be the alt option? I did matrixal instead of CP. Would this be a similar end result?

Hmm. Obviously if you live near a Saks or bigger Nordstrom they’ll have testers (but most of us don’t). I bet if you called they’d send out samples. I used to get samples from Barney’s sent to me (skincare and fragrance) but sadly they closed 😞
It’s worth a call though to cosmetics in either Neiman Marcus, Saks or Nordstrom to ask! ❤️

The chanel bronzer comes in dark now and I’m light med olive toned and it’s beautiful! I would never buy the light one ur talking about. It looks straight up orange

That's funny how each person's nose is different the baccarat 540 perfume is my all-time favorite I also have the hair mist and I have the bum bum cream but I don't think they smell alike actually did not like the bum bum cream either way I will still be buying the baccarat 540 when I can save up for it LOL
It’s actually not bum bum, it is the new beija flor. I said bum bum but that’s actually a completely different scent.

@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE Yes I have the cream of it. I think I'm like the rest of the people I definitely think the Ariana grande smell is a total dupe for the baccarat 540. But I absolutely love the baccarat 540 so I will always be buying that but it's good to know the dupes because it is very expensive thank you for sharing that 😊
