I’m driving the RS GT for about two years now. I’ve driven Tesla before. You should know that the Audi has one of the highest regen out there. 250kW when you press the brakes before it will use the regular brakes. In the beginning I had to get used to it, no one-pedal driving. But now I prefer the Audi way. Audi says braking should be when you use the brake pedal…
Another thing about the car ride height. When you drive above 90km/h it will lower the car by an extra 2cms. You can see it in the display, you’ll see only two bars indicating the ride height. When you drive this car on German autobahn speeds you feel that this car is made for those high speeds. It sticks to the road. Then I usually drive 80-10%, while driving an avg of 150km/h, the charging speed is crazy. In about max 25mins I’m back at 80% charging from 270kWh to about 230kWh still at 60%, it’s crazy fast!
Enjoyed this. Been in a Model S for 6 yrs. Someone hit and totaled it so debating on what to get next between another S and these 2. Tesla to date been my fav car owned but there’s a Tesla everywhere now opposed to when first got mine so doesn’t seem special anymore. Really love the Taycan and Audi a close 2nd
I had an RS Etron GT for a year, also one Taycan Sport Turismo for a month and now i have one S Plaid and the RS Etron GT is much better looking, more refine and better interior quality than Taycan. So in the end, i would choose the Audi. The S Plaid is the worst between the three, handling of the Tesla is a disaster, and road noise is louder, the seats are worst.
Thanks for the review. Well done. I’m with you. Porsche Taycan all the way. Been in all three. I have a 2019. Macan GTS currently. Going to LA Auto Show in two week to check out the Macan EV. Should be very exciting. Again thanks for a great review on three great vehicles
