Good luck, Commander! The 🌏 is counting on you!
12:40 is when he actually talks about the building
His repeating himself was driving me crazy by 40 seconds. What has youtube done to my attention span?!
Toilets next to Resistance Ring. Got it.
lmao hahhahaha
Me: *buys an engineer from the black market and buys one from the supply drop shop*
Shen: I WISH WE HAD MORE RECRUITS WHO COULD HANDLE A WRENCH.
Me: *bitchslaps Shen
Allthough a bit older video it is still a valid build.
Thank you for creating this one.
Earlier the Labs built, the better.
I'm gonna hope to build the Lab first my next playthrough.
Tell me how it went! (your comment got buried under others for whatever reason)
Still running my current campaign, not much time due to schooling.
I cut things ridiculous close, but thanks to a facility lead, I was able to survive and expand. I've finally got the skulljack and the shadow chamber up and running so avatar project won't be too rough.
Sweet! All my runs devolve into cutting it too close with the avatar project haha
I learned from ChristopherOdd to try pushing the avatar project to the last minute, though lately his most recent run isn't doing it. Though it'd be boring as heck I bet.
He's right to do that! It's just that almost anything else you can do does more for you and brings more benefits than reducing the Avatar project progression.
No adjacency bonus with resistance ring and toilets? What is happening to xcom
Son you just said proving grounds is not needed to beat the game but yet the skull jack is what you need to beat the game 😭
Shen: Give me engineers reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Also Shen after you give her 1 engineeer: We have too many engineers nvm.
Im so trained to think that when a game NPC is complaining about ur performance or decisions that ur usually better off taking their advice.
It took me a while to realize in Xcom their jabber means jack shit.
In one month I killed 3 chosen, survived two ufo attacks including one by the asassin with the planewalker ability and no weaknesses, i countered a haven assault, i did TWO guerilla strikes and got flawless and researched like 6 techs, got 3 new contacts and did 3 proving ground projects and ZERO progress on the avatar project
Council: we had high hopes for you, its so unfortunate that your efforts have been so MEDIOCRE
I DAMN NEAR THREW MY CONTROLLER AT THE FUCKING SCREEN
It would be nice if their chatter actually reflected ur decisions right? Kinda like the newspaper in Hitman Bloodmoney. That was always fun to read.
Itd be cool to if ur propoganda posters actually affected morale, like if u make enough in a month ur soldiers dont get tired so easy and other buffs like maybe a soldier takes less damage if featured in enough posters. But u can only make posters if u earn them like by actually acing a mission, or getting a promotion to sergeant, captain, colonel. Thats how I do it anyway. Itd be nice if the game only let u make so much but there was a reward and a unique background for each one depending on what u do. Like if u defeat a chosen on a mission that soldier gets a poster.
Yeah that'd be awesome, I just noticed the posters the other day actually. And yeah its frustrating when they they don't acknowledge your progrees
I could have bought civilization 6: Rise and Fall or War of the Chosen and I chose War of the Chosen.
Jimmy Bowles good for you
Dark Magician why would you ask that?
Dude I loved the end when you went bonkers
Subscribed for the 'beep bop beepity boop' during the SPARKS explanation! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just bought WOTC today. Thank you! Your videos are really informative.
Welcome back, Commander! Thank YOU for watching, none of this is possible with you guys.
Please do an xcom2 wotc Let's Play. I would watch the heck out of that.
Sure I'll see what I can do :D
Finally got around to making it Jessa, thank you so much for the recommendation.
What do you recommend building first
I'm a little late to the party but your videos are amazing. Engaging, helpful, and funny af. Keep up the great content!
i just wanna know whats the best thing to put around the workshop
Just bought the DLC last night. I'll be checking out your other videos as well. Thanks for the tips!
Sweet! Have fun!
I know I’m late to this but don’t you have to build a power relay as one of your first three or u can’t build anymore right?
That's what I'm wondering about
Does the chance of getting an ability from another skill tree with AWC when you upgrade a soldier work, if there’s no engineer assigned to it?
Hey! As far as I know it does not. So just having the facility is enough to unlock these skills and having g engineers there does nothing to enhance these abilities.
@@QuickSaveTV I’ll go with that then - thanks :) .
Great video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. You should consider a mod video. It looks like you have a gang of useful ones installed. I'm really curious how you get the colored xcom icons on the map, the numbers on your researched upgrades, and the colors/extra info on your soldiers in the soldier screen.
Thank you! One is already in the works, but the specific ones you are interested in are the following:
WC_GeoscApps -> For colorful Geoscope;
WC_INFormApps -> For better categorizing of the Research;
[WOTC] Detailed Soldier Lists -> For better information display on your fighters Roster;
WotC: Color Coded Bonds -> For coloring of Soldier bonds, making it easier to make out who works better with whom.
QuickSaveTV Thanks for sharing. I'll look forward to the mod video!
BEEP BEEP BEEPIDY BOP!
Is there any War of the chosen + long war 2 Guide? Those two things together can lead to weird situations they seem hard to solve.
have a problem here.. which dark event should i counter ? high alert or minor breakthrough ? destroyed 1 blacksites though.
Hi Which is the building that shows me which aliens I will encounter in the next mission thanks
Hey, If I remember correctly, it's the building that you unlock through following the main objectives. It's not optional, you will have to build it.
*Ship gets shot down*
Picks 2 snipers with squadsight 1 reaper + shotgunners for backup! It's just bad if the relay's 1 floor below your ramp, randomness...
Ive actually never built a lab in vanilla or wotc. Scientists are so plentiful and u only need like 5. Its the engineers i can never get enough of so i opt for workshop instead.
For me the infirmary is the most important by far. Gts too. Followed by the ring, the training center, proving grounds, psi lab, defense matrix (which is so much better in wotc, those turrets can shoot the fucking cannon tank on some maps i mean goddamn.
I like workshops in the middle of a plus shape or between two, so i can fully staff a resistance comms and power without using engineers.
I find 11 engineers plus workshop and like 5 scientists is good enough.
Maybe i need to play more. But im current kicking ass on commander about to off the final two chosen
Yo! Lab is nice to speed through those t2 weaps, armors, plus getting psy done in a reasonable amount of time, and getting those important breakthroughs like interchangeable mods and implants.
GTS alone kind of makes everything optional. Im working on the few and the proud achievement right now (no squad size upgrades) and lab is essential to keep those few soldiers in top tech with improved weapons from breakthroughs.
Im not seeing workshop as good. Its just +2 engies for a whole lot of supplies and a bunch of power. That means you need it on a free power spot. Either way, huge opportunity cost for 2 engineers. Engies are good, but expanding too quickly can really hurt your maintenance cost (which workshop also has)
The most irritating thing about few and proud achievement is that GTS is required for using those combat sims implants. Thats just trolling the achievement.
Engineers have levels too. Late game engineers can give up to 6 gremlins each. If you add a max level engineer via console you could see it. I usually add one and place him in the resistance coms so i could contact all 16 regions with no hassle
So is the number on the screen the layout that I am supposed to build these? I am still confuzzled, even after you went to explain a bunch of nothing birgers information.
Do you have videos of your playthrough for WotC? Maybe you could do a let's play and integrate your guide/tips there! Great videos thank you for help. Restart game thrice already screwed up on first two tries lol
Unfortunately, you'd have to watch my stream to actually see me play the game. I would like to focus on some other content about the game right now, but let's play is definitely not something I won't ever do. What issues are you having in particular?
I definately start with Resistance Ring.
You forgot to mention what to do with the exposed cables.
As in the base building spots where you build your power facilities? I intentionally did not talk about that as it could not be more obvious.
I think it has some nuances that might be worth knowing. There is some randomness on the exposed coils. Sometimes you get 1, sometimes you get 2 (it might depend on the difficulty level). If one of them is on the third level you can priorize excavations so you build your first power relay on it - your engineers spend a lot of time excavating instead of building at the begining. If they only appear on the last level then this is not worth it, I think. Also, I've heard that some people prefer to reserve exposed cables for buildings that consume a lot of energy (like psi ops) because they don't consume power from the power relay if installed on an exposed cable room (I have not tried this myself). So this is something to take into account, especially if you get 2.
Yeah, good points. I am sorry, I just really forgot these nuances (one of them I completely discarded as I never used this technique myself), but you are on point it would have been worth exploring.
I'll do better next time.
actualy building do have adjacency bonus in xcom 2 aswell.
So if I have 4 soldiers and add 1 its +25% but if I have 5 and remove 1 that's -20% so where are those missing 5%?
The +25% equals the -25% if you put it in a number
what mod is that at 9:44 ??
Detailed Soldier List.
defense matrix I think is unnecessary considering that the mission itself is pretty easy
Where are you from? That accent sound familiar... east europe?
Sesame street.
@@Chaosinunison91son said sesame Street
It's a decent game but the hit percentage is way off for example if it says I have a 60 percent chance to hit it may hit 3 out of 10 Times kinda stupid
It's a GREAT game. I just wished the percentages were accurate. It's crazy how a 90% can miss at the most vital time. 1 out of 10 times you're going to miss & the one time you do misses when you really need to make that shot
How do I increase income per month in this game?
Hi man, first You have to research resistance comns in the lab, so you can contact regions, then you contact regions, remember to keep an eye on resistance contacts and build more comns, also research and build radio towers to lower the intel costo in nearby regions. Have a nice day!
@@ulisesmorones5222 thanks bro
How does he have actual military rank insignia
A mod. I think it's Resistance Ranks OR nTex Rank Icons
Workshop is weary weird one, not sure if it's worth the investments in cash tho it can save some time, even that is questionable benefit. I made like a perfect base on current run, or so i think but i find power got caped, upgrade coms need power and power is contacts, contacts are missions and income. Chosen spam inc cost and make my income negative in first couple of months. So in short if you don't have extra power before making workshop it may bite you in time workshop should be most effective and building to fast before getting rid of chosen can make income not existent if you have contact in those region or even worst if avatar miss them. Most important thing is happening on map, contacts, missions you can access as they pop up, never randomly make contacts if you can't predict couple steps ahead.
Yeah, managing Power is paramount to success.
I started a new game today. I haven't played I'm yrs so I started on normal. I'm struggling here, but still making it work somewhere.
I started with GTS, comms, and then power.
Now I'm starting to think maybe I should have build GTS a bit later and stared with a lab and workshop.
GTS is nice once you have a Soldiers of decent rank.
So next play through I'm thinking
Lab/Workshop
Power/infarmy
GTS
Idk I'm just out here
If only there was actually a RUclips video that covers this step-by-step on what to build first I've been looking for the longest now and just decided to just build the GTS and go from there
Please write a script/notes before you record. Will save you 10+ minutes lol.
I can tell by ur accent ur a genuine white European. Good luck to u in ur homeland, im really sorry for what Biden did. Ur gonna have shariah law creeping up to ur doorstep for sure if not already.
Whats the point this game dose not let you do any thing you want just click the next high lighted item very stuped
its called a tutorial. and you can deactivate
