It didn't all happen in one day... The reason he hadn't smiled in weeks, was because he was looking everywhere for his mystery girl, but unable to find her. That's why when Grim realized how happy Eric was around Ariel, he asked him to stop searching and look to her for happiness.

So the reason Eric hasn't smiled in weeks is because he hasn't been able to find the girl who rescued him. It does seem like Ariel doing the, "He loves me, he loves me not," is the next day or something, but it's weeks after the shipwreck.
Yeah, I definitely thought it all took place in a few days and they were hinting at a backstory for Prince Eric haha but that makes a lot more sense that it’s been a few weeks!
@@StephanieLuna it's definitely very subtle, but it's a way of showing that as ridiculous as it is that they fell for each other without even speaking (though to be fair, this is a fairy tale, it doesn't have to be realistic), it isn't something for either of them that's waning, like a regular crush would. It's also hinted at when Triton says that Ariel has been mooning about and singing to herself. It hasn't been something she just started doing, she's been acting that way long enough for him to notice something is going on with her, he just doesn't realize that she's in love until one of his other daughters goes, "Duh, dad." Also, when Eric says, "I've looked everywhere, Max," he's not talking about just walking up and down the beach all day long hoping to stumble across her. He's scoured the countryside trying to find her and been unsuccessful.

How bright and vibrant many sea life is, they should've left her hair that bright vibrant red for the live action instead of attempting to make it generically ginger. Would have helped a lot i think.
Sebastian is the real hero of this story. We are so proud of him. He may not have approved of Ariel’s dreams, but he certainly wouldn’t have gone to the extent of Triton by destroying her grotto. I love when he tries to apologize to Ariel and he instantly regrets accidentally snitching on her. And he doesn’t want to tell on her after she gets her legs because he knows she’s been emotionally scarred. She’s technically not safe where she lives. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Sebastian takes full responsibility to make her happy and to make up for letting her down in the first place. He’s such a sweet character and is trying to make up for ratting her out. That’s a brave hero right there. One who may be neurotic, but helps you anyway because it’s the right thing to do ❤️.

There is a Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea. Personally I think it's pretty good, one of the better Disney sequels IMO. There's also a prequel (Ariel's Beginning) which is just okay, not great but not bad either.
Mein Freund hat den Film auch noch nie gesehen! Das werden wir nachholen, werden aber bald erstmal die Live-Action Version angucken. Er soll sich das ganz unvoreingenommen reinziehen. 😂Liebe auf den ersten Blick und wenn es dann auch noch passt innerhalb von 3 Tagen finde ich überhaupt nicht unrealistisch. Zumal Arielle ein 16-Jähriger Teenager ist. Zwar fühlt sich alles sehr schnell und zackig an, aber den einzigen Zeitraum m, der uns gesagt wird, sind die drei Tage, die die beiden miteinander verbringen. Wie lange die beiden sich wirklich gegenseitig suchen werden wir nie erfahren😅 zumal Prinz Erik der einzige Mensch ist in ihrem Alter, oder zumindest so ungefähr, und ich finde ihn auch sehr sympathisch! Ich habe es als Kind geliebt, dass er zurück auf das brennende Schiff gegangen ist um seinen Hund zu retten! Und dass er so bescheiden ist und seine eigene Statue total schrecklich findet fand ich auch immer sehr gut😊

this is somewhere in europe hence no none-white people in the time frame this was always my fave princess I related to her to most & it came out when I was 8 the fucking real life remake disrespects the original by changing fucking everything that made it good including the prince being excepted whenhe defeats the seawitch i won't give those fuckers a cent I won't watch reactions either
