@lexusfan100 a water pump is what pumps the antifreeze through your waterjacket (around the cylinders in the block) and the radiator. if it is leaking then yes you would see antifreeze on the ground. but look for other problems first like hoses and the radiator. Also the pump can stop working and not pump water through making your engine overheat. an engine overheating can be from a faulty water pump.

most of the time, leaks are caused by not using gasket silicone on the gasket and the guys at autozone say you don't need gasket silicone on the gasket. don't listen to anything other than a Haynes manual on your car because them guys at autozone don't know anything about gaskets.
What about the complete teat down of this engine to replace the water pump. You show it only where the pump is exposed. Also how about showing a hard one like with a side ways engine.

Hugo Luz You have to remove the accessory belt first. You can do that by loosening the belt tensioner with a breaker bar and probably a 15 mm socket, or a special belt tensioner bar which is narrower for tighter spaces.
