At the same time of this season, Claudia did an in season pilot for the lead actress in a Highlander spin off that ended up going to Elizabeth Gracen (for anyone that watched or watched the Highlander series).
Personally I love the season 5 theme song, it is perfect. Energetic, positive, radiant... it just makes me excited. All B5 theme songs are amazing, but the final season does stand out to me. There's also something awesome about the fact that B5 doesn't just end where many other stories would end, but lets us see the aftermath. Now, the execution is something we can argue about especially early in the season... but you know that :)
I sort of like strange new worlds, But. Would definitely watch it if I could watch it along with a podcast done by you. I hope to be able to find out if there is such a show or a possibility of such a show. Thanks for these podcasts!
That assassin had a shot since he got in the room. JS was lucky that the assassin didn't have a higher set of skills. (sorry for not proofreading this properly before posting)
Whatever separation anxiety Jessie is feeling for Ivanova, one simple fact of truth will change her mind. The originals should share that with her mid-season. Rebound.
Just finished watching this week's episode and I'm still seeing the cast of B5 in the Jeffersons. John and Delenn are clearly the Willises, Vir is Bentley, and given G'Kar's interest in alien females, Lyta is Weezie/Louise. Season 1 Na'Toth fits Florence. And I guess that means Londo is ... mother Jefferson?
My favorite moment of this episode of the podcast was when Kevin said he certainly respects Emily's opinion, unlike other people on this podcast -- and then Jessie chimed in. Which is to say, I definitely sympathize. And yet, what do you say about Sheridan and Delenn? It's romance of cute, awkward, heroic but flawed people. And if you can't adjust your perspective to accept and enjoy it, it may be impossible by this point. And the hilarious conversation is all I need to start my day, commuting to real people coping with highly unreal people that are still fun to watch. But y'all are so fun to listen to.
The only spoiler I’ll share (not really a spoiler) is that Season 5 has some of the best moments and some of the poorest story arcs. I think it’s just not as consistent as we were used to in previous seasons. It’s good, but not great A Trump bible reference…I’m dying laughing
Apparently Jerry Doyle did a read-through with Tracy Scoggins, and was told to push her buttons... and she tore 7 shades of shit off him. That's when they knew they had the right person for Lochley
I agree 100% with Jeesse (I keep forgetting hiw to write her name). Don't like married Delen, season 1 Delen is better. By the way, I can't believe you guys didn't see the Thomas G'Kar Jefferson in season 5.
New Captain 1st Jesse doesn't like anybody. 2nd The fact Jesse doesn't like Lockly(?) proves that she doesn't get it! 3rd M.A.S.H., M.A.S.H., M.A.S.H. Why haven't you figured out who G'Kar is? G'Kar is a romantic and eternal optimist - like a kid - but also pragmatic and a realist. This why he gives you the flowery language, but also knows how to look into the heart of a thing. During the original run I hated Lochley but after hearing an interview with Scroggins and how much she loved the show and was a fan before she got the role my dislike of the character was transformed. I'm sure the twenty plus years since the first airing also helped.
I always loved Lochley. I liked that she added conflict; I liked that she stood her ground, and above all else, I liked that she was portrayed as a command level soldier.
Jessie: I hate this new Captain!
*Sees a weird telepath group*
Jessie: C'mon guys! Give this bunch a chance.
Midnight on the Firing Line" was good as I recall.
You start to warm up to her by the end, but it was really tough to get over Ivanova. Real tough.

In the inauguration, G'Kar's statement about rights and necessary limits on them was m,oving, "Great, let's eat," was brilliant.

Last comment. Finally finished it and loved it. You guys are insane. 😂😂😂
32nd minute in: This is one of your highest and best episodes. Wow.
Damn, I havent thought about Sandstorm in a long time. As always, thank you for your work.

Simon was actually Sponge on the old Nickelodeon show “Salute Your Shorts”.

As a storyteller, I love the Season 5 theme. Musically, I prefer listening to 3 or 4.
I love the slow opening section of the Season 5 theme, but the second half loses me a bit.
" I finally got a piece of the pie"
Jessie was doing so well until she went on a full rant about having to see another season. 😂😂 # Free Jessie

Tracy told the story at one of the anniversary conventions (2013/2014) iirc!

G'kar gets Londo in War Without End. Please re-watch.
Delenn said it, this future cannot be changed.
Not even sure what you are referring to.

Nah. The intro to season 5 is interesting but season 3 & 4 were the best ones 💙
weird and poopie?
