Both the character creator and actual gameplay looks good. It’s a bit similar to both Baldur's Gate 3 and Dragon's Dogma 2, but it does have some unique features on it's own in terms of hairstyle, factions, costume design and tribal tattoos. As for the gameplay, the combat is a bit similar to God of War Ragnarok and the exploration is almost like Tales of Arise.

Veilguard's CC has this one HUGE advantage over BG3's, though: it lets us create truly unique-looking characters. I can't begin to describe how annoying it is, to be limited to 6 face presets for each race/gender (worse still that these presets are so damn "eurocentric").

I have a question! Did you check if the eye colours were limited to those, or did the "custom" option allow for more unique eye colours? THe single thing that concerned me about the CC was the apparent impossibility to give our characters unique eye colours, which will be a problem when I recreate my Inkies (half of which had eye colours ranging from pink to violet) ^^''
