I feel I need to give my thanks to so many of these relationship coaches on RUclips. All of us are truly blessed to have you. Thank you Brad, I finally got him back and we feel stronger and happier than ever. Your videos helped me so much. Starting no contact was the hardest thing. Please do it, ladies. I heard it all. “Go away, I hate you!” “We won’t be together again!” On day 12 he began to reach out, and was clearly annoyed I was not replying. This worried me, but I continued on with my life. Finally when we started talking again, after a day of just regular talking, on day two he admitted he missed me and wanted to give us another chance! We discussed everything through clearly and feel more powered than ever. This is also a long distance relationship. I hope this gave some people some hope, and thank you so much Brad! You’re amazing.

I am doubtful whether this will work on my ex because he is a bit different, i feel like he is more of the kind who will feel like "she does not care much after all" and he may feel i am not the type to stick around but at the same time he also is the kind of man who very easily takes things for granted and does mot realise doing it.

Be strong! It's time to find a more positive outlet for your emotions. It's totally okay to cry your eyes out (just NOT in front of your ex), this is healthy, but try to balance it with other stuff. So keep your mind occupied, get busy with a lot of stuff like hobbies, work, etc. focus on what makes you feel good and take time to heal as well. OMG Brad!!! this couldn't have come at a better time . I've been following your videos after my breakup exactly 3 months ago and did everything you said. I kinda messed up one time trying to explain how I've changed but went back to the No Contact .Whats weird is that he would text on the same date or a few days after the day he broke up with me .i'm wondering if that is a coincidence or he has been counting. He is not a guy to remember dates. It really depends on the ex. I understand what you're saying, but each person has his/her own reasons for why they either choose to get back together with an ex or let go totally. You can't speak for them because it's their life, not yours to decide. Granted, not all relationships are meant to be salvaged, especially abusive ones and/or one that involves numerous instances of infidelity, but some are worth saving. This all depends on what kind of relationship you have and if you decide to move on or fight for it. There is no wrong answer on whatever your decision is. :-) Anyway thanks for your input!

She still says she cares about me but she doesnt want to stay in a relationship anymore. I hope to get her back because we were so good together that actually broke me. One day i decided to chill with my friends at my home. My friends ask me if my ex can come too (since she is friends with them and our breakup wasnt tragic) so i said yes. After the party everyone got back home and she sended a text to me asking if i wanted to see her. Me confused af agrees and have sex the same night. In bed she told me she has no interest in a relationship with me so to this day we are still separated. She seems to enjoy my company but for some reason she is just not interested in me as a partner :/ Its all good tho im just doing my thing, maybe someday she'll change her mind. Let her/him contact you and if he/she doesnt just give up on her and look for a new person .. if she/he doesnt break the silence he has no intrest in you and u dont wanna be with a person that has no intrest on you ... even if u came together again by some miracle u would break up a couple of weeks later and she/he would even betray u in that time and u would be even unhappier than u were while u were in no contact ...

It may be time to put things into perspective because in over a 12 years spent as a relationship coach, I find that a breakup is often NOT just one person's fault, so look at the roles that you've BOTH played that led to the breakup and if the issues have a chance to get resolved, and how to go about it. In most cases, the problems that led to the breakup can be resolved, but in some cases, it can't. So take time to evaluate, okay? However, I have to warn you not to ask the reasons from your ex. I know exactly how you feel, the same thing happened with me & my partner of 17 years. We started having more & more arguments, I was (& still am) going through the menopause, I knew our relationship was crumbling, we weren't talking coz he's a true avoidant & couldn't talk about his feelings & thoughts, my teenage daughters didn't help matters, I was living in an unhappy, loveless, tense, argumentative home & relationship. I became very frustrated & depressed coz I also had strong feelings he was having an affair or shagging around behind my back. I was imagining him having sex with another woman as we stopped having sex for about a year & was convinced it was coz he preferred having sex with someone else. I started drinking more & more, I would stay up listening to music & drinking until the early hours, sometimes I would see it getting light. I also avoided sleeping with him after he grabbed me by the throat as I didn't trust him & disliked him after this. But I admit my shouting at him & accusations caused him to react that way. I thought it would be best if he moved out for a while so I could have more thinking space but he refused saying he couldn't afford to pay mortgage & rent aswell as I wasn't working. So I had to live in a hostile environment & decide with him around what to do for the best as I didn't want to break our family up & my daughters to grow up with no dad. I felt we weren't compatible anymore but wanted to save our relationship desperately. I tried talking to him so many times, wanting him to open up to me but he just couldn't or wouldn't & was convinced it was coz he didn't want to be with me anymore coz he'd met someone else or had his eye on someone else. Things came to a head one morning after I stayed up all night into the morning & we ended up having another screaming match which resulted in things getting physical & he grabbed me really hard by the throat again. He knocked me off my feet & retrained me on the floor while he rang 999. The police came & forcibly removed me from the house & I haven't been back since. That was a whole year ago now. He placed an Order on me & forced me to accept a settlement from our family home. My daughters have remained with him & I haven't had any contact with them for the past year which is heartbreaking. I have messaged them afew times in the past but I only get nasty replies from them & threatening to report me. My youngest daughter who is 15 years old has blocked me. My 18 year old doesn't respond to my messages. I missed both of my daughters birthdays, Xmas & Mothers Day with them & will miss being with them at Easter & my birthday. I can only message my ex, he won't speak to me or even meet up face to face. I have had to spend a large amount of my settlement money to pay rent for a 2 bed house in the hope that in the near future one of my daughters will want to see me & come & visit & maybe stay the night once in a while. I'm so lonely sometimes as I've also lost my two cats too who I love dearly. I've lost everything.....my relationship, my daughters, my cats, my home which I loved & my life. I want nothing more than to get back with my ex & rekindle our love & trust, I still love him dearly with all my heart & I just can't accept it's actually over. He's the love of my life, I'm really not interested in anyone else & every time I see a guy who looks like him I pine & it makes me feel sad. Every time I see couples all love up it makes me sad coz that's what I so desperately want with him. I really can't imagine being with anyone else. I really don't want to be with anyone else & live in hope that one day soon he'll come back to me. We've been in regular contact for the past year but I'm cooling things off now & not contacting him as much, trying to leave it for 2-3 days without contacting him but it's so bloody hard! I really don't know if I could do no contact for 30 days, it would drive me insane! I just couldn't do it. I'm trying to keep busy & when I'm not in work I go to the gym twice a week, go to drum practice as I play a snare drum in a samba band, go walking, do volunteering, meeting up with friends & just getting out of the house as much as possible. I just hope Brad is right in saying that by not contacting him he's gonna miss me but he hasn't contacted me yet & only contacts me when he's replying to one of my messages. I don't know if he's just being stubborn, he's really fallen out of love with me or his interest & feelings are with someone else. He won't tell me either if he's with someone else. When I asked him a number of months ago if he had met someone else his reply was that if he said 'yes' I would go off on one, if he said 'no' I would call him a liar! A true avoidant! I really don't know what the future holds but all I can do is keep things friendly between us, keep in contact but only when it's necessary regarding our daughters &/or cats, better myself mentally, keep fit, be independent & live in hope that there's still a future (a bright future) for us & our love will be even stronger for one another from this situation. How long have you been cold and distant to him before he finally dumped you? It's very important to give it time to let whatever anger and hurt there is between you two, especially from your ex's side, subside. Well, keep in mind that the new girl isn’t you and if your relationship had been particularly good for the most part and keep in mind that you aren't responsible for making your ex see your value, then you can use that knowledge to your advantage (otherwise you really can't do anything about that now because you can't undo the past; best to take the experience as a lesson learned and try to show it to your ex and hope he is STILL open or receptive to it after giving space). Keep in mind that your ex is suffering too, even though it seems like the opposite. Hi there! Getting an ex back is a gradual process, so there's no one-action solution for this. Okay? The "no contact" phase is a good start, so do that first if you haven’t yet, for 30 days. I know it's extremely hard, but trust me, you can, it just takes strength and determination. Just accept the breakup and try to heal first. Refusing to do that will only make you stuck, granted how your ex dumped you. Right now you might just still be in shock, but over time, if you make it a point to love yourself first, you'll get there and it's the first step to healing. Take care!

Give it enough time but definitely DO NOT wait for him. A wide array of different emotions coming from an ex is somewhat expected when a breakup is still fresh and this includes the likelihood of your ex giving you mixed signals. In this case, try to do the opposite of the "no contact" rule and see if your ex is receptive to contact. If your ex isn't, then it's very important to give it time to let whatever anger there is between you two, especially from your ex's side, subside. I was dating my ex for almost 4 years. Long story short, I ended things because I was confused about my feelings - things were not romantic anymore and felt too friendly. We did not act broken up for about 2 weeks of me initially "ending" things. Then finally we don't communicate for a week and during that week I realized my feelings are still there and I want to get back with him. When we met up and talked about that he said "Well I'm confused now and need some time to think about that." But, we started hanging out again and acting like we were dating but we weren't officially back together yet. He then started to say things like "we should get dinner next week". I go out of town for a weekend, asked him to come with but he said he couldn't because he had studying to do, but I saw on social media he went out every single night that weekend. He told me he wasn't getting with any girls, he was out with his lax team. Well I blew up his phone because this hurt me..... and I told him I want to talk in person when I get back in town. We talk when I get back, and he basically said "I have to tell you things are officially done 'for now'" and "I want to know what my life is like without being in a relationship because I've always had you there for me" and he even said "Maybe over this summer I'm gonna miss you and want to start seeing you again". So things are officially done, that was the last time we talked which was about 2 weeks ago. I haven't reached out to him or anything. But it feels like he's moved on because he hasn't contacted me. I don't know if I move on or wait for him. Please help

Next time he contacts you, ignore it. If your ex continues to reach out to you, however, then this really depends on the frequency and nature of the contact from your ex and whether or not you've reached the phase where you're supposed to be talking again. The only exception is if your ex asks for you back and is sincere about it. If your ex continually messages you, then it’s important to put your ex’s messages into context, more so if this happened during the “no contact” phase. Is your ex trying to contact you about something really important, like an emergency, unpaid bills, or something equally urgent? These are reasons to respond, including messages where they get angry due to your lack of response. If not, and your ex is really just texting some useless random stuff and/or asses his/her power over you, then you can just ignore and continue on with the 30-day "no contact" rule. Sometimes the reason is you're both too lazy to work on it and just expect things to miraculously fix things for you. It's that or one or both people don't take accountability for their actions. There will always be issues in a relationship as there is never a perfect relationship, but there is a healthy one! But like I always say, the decision is ultimately up to you since you know your relationship and your ex better than anyone else on here. And alas, not every ex is worth all the trouble. It's up to you to decide who is worth fighting for at one of the toughest of battles you face in your relationship. Best of luck!
That's not really necessary. Just have the self discipline to not contact and give him the space he needs. Just try to make sure you maximize what you can within this 30-day period such as healing yourself, enjoying your own company, as well as spending time to see where it all went wrong, but only when you start to feel better, so be sure to take time to grieve first and feel the loss and cry all you want but then make an effort to pick yourself up first. Remember, you can't pick someone up (to be back in a relationship with you) if you're also feeling down yourself. Now is the time for self love. So give yourself the time and attention you need to heal first, all right? I actually waited 6 months and my ex came back ❤ were doing very well but it does feel a bit bad at times since she did have sexual intercourse with someone during those 6 months ;/ it does hurt but its going away . If you become the best version of yourself then you should just find someone up to par instead of trying to get back ex’s who aren’t worth you in the first place.
Use your discretion. Like I always say, the decision is ultimately up to you. You know your situation and your ex best. Sometimes a relationship can be salvaged and worth the save but sometimes it isn't, especially if there's cheating or some other type of abuse involved.

Starting no contact was the hardest thing. Please do it, ladies. I heard it all. “Go away, I hate you!” “We won’t be together again!”
On day 12 he began to reach out, and was clearly annoyed I was not replying. This worried me, but I continued on with my life.
Finally when we started talking again, after a day of just regular talking, on day two he admitted he missed me and wanted to give us another chance!
We discussed everything through clearly and feel more powered than ever.
This is also a long distance relationship.

Be strong! It's time to find a more positive outlet for your emotions. It's totally okay to cry your eyes out (just NOT in front of your ex), this is healthy, but try to balance it with other stuff. So keep your mind occupied, get busy with a lot of stuff like hobbies, work, etc. focus on what makes you feel good and take time to heal as well. OMG Brad!!! this couldn't have come at a better time . I've been following your videos after my breakup exactly 3 months ago and did everything you said. I kinda messed up one time trying to explain how I've changed but went back to the No Contact .Whats weird is that he would text on the same date or a few days after the day he broke up with me .i'm wondering if that is a coincidence or he has been counting. It really depends on the ex. I understand what you're saying, but each person has his/her own reasons for why they either choose to get back together with an ex or let go totally. You can't speak for them because it's their life, not yours to decide. Granted, not all relationships are meant to be salvaged, especially abusive ones and/or one that involves numerous instances of infidelity, but some are worth saving. This all depends on what kind of relationship you have and if you decide to move on or fight for it. There is no wrong answer on whatever your decision is. :-) Anyway thanks for your input!

One day i decided to chill with my friends at my home. My friends ask me if my ex can come too (since she is friends with them and our breakup wasnt tragic) so i said yes. After the party everyone got back home and she sended a text to me asking if i wanted to see her. Me confused af agrees and have sex the same night. It may be time to put things into perspective because in over a 12 years spent as a relationship coach, I find that a breakup is often NOT just one person's fault, so look at the roles that you've BOTH played that led to the breakup and if the issues have a chance to get resolved, and how to go about it. In most cases, the problems that led to the breakup can be resolved, but in some cases, it can't. So take time to evaluate, okay? However, I have to warn you not to ask the reasons from your ex. I know exactly how you feel, the same thing happened with me & my partner of 17 years. We started having more & more arguments, I was (& still am) going through the menopause, I knew our relationship was crumbling, we weren't talking coz he's a true avoidant & couldn't talk about his feelings & thoughts, my teenage daughters didn't help matters, I was living in an unhappy, loveless, tense, argumentative home & relationship. I became very frustrated & depressed coz I also had strong feelings he was having an affair or shagging around behind my back. I was imagining him having sex with another woman as we stopped having sex for about a year & was convinced it was coz he preferred having sex with someone else. I started drinking more & more, I would stay up listening to music & drinking until the early hours, sometimes I would see it getting light. I also avoided sleeping with him after he grabbed me by the throat as I didn't trust him & disliked him after this. But I admit my shouting at him & accusations caused him to react that way. I thought it would be best if he moved out for a while so I could have more thinking space but he refused saying he couldn't afford to pay mortgage & rent aswell as I wasn't working. So I had to live in a hostile environment & decide with him around what to do for the best as I didn't want to break our family up & my daughters to grow up with no dad. I felt we weren't compatible anymore but wanted to save our relationship desperately. I tried talking to him so many times, wanting him to open up to me but he just couldn't or wouldn't & was convinced it was coz he didn't want to be with me anymore coz he'd met someone else or had his eye on someone else. Things came to a head one morning after I stayed up all night into the morning & we ended up having another screaming match which resulted in things getting physical & he grabbed me really hard by the throat again. He knocked me off my feet & retrained me on the floor while he rang 999. The police came & forcibly removed me from the house & I haven't been back since. That was a whole year ago now. He placed an Order on me & forced me to accept a settlement from our family home. My daughters have remained with him & I haven't had any contact with them for the past year which is heartbreaking. I have messaged them afew times in the past but I only get nasty replies from them & threatening to report me. My youngest daughter who is 15 years old has blocked me. My 18 year old doesn't respond to my messages. I missed both of my daughters birthdays, Xmas & Mothers Day with them & will miss being with them at Easter & my birthday. I can only message my ex, he won't speak to me or even meet up face to face. I have had to spend a large amount of my settlement money to pay rent for a 2 bed house in the hope that in the near future one of my daughters will want to see me & come & visit & maybe stay the night once in a while. I'm so lonely sometimes as I've also lost my two cats too who I love dearly. I've lost everything.....my relationship, my daughters, my cats, my home which I loved & my life. I want nothing more than to get back with my ex & rekindle our love & trust, I still love him dearly with all my heart & I just can't accept it's actually over. He's the love of my life, I'm really not interested in anyone else & every time I see a guy who looks like him I pine & it makes me feel sad. Every time I see couples all love up it makes me sad coz that's what I so desperately want with him. I really can't imagine being with anyone else. I really don't want to be with anyone else & live in hope that one day soon he'll come back to me. We've been in regular contact for the past year but I'm cooling things off now & not contacting him as much, trying to leave it for 2-3 days without contacting him but it's so bloody hard! I really don't know if I could do no contact for 30 days, it would drive me insane! I just couldn't do it. I'm trying to keep busy & when I'm not in work I go to the gym twice a week, go to drum practice as I play a snare drum in a samba band, go walking, do volunteering, meeting up with friends & just getting out of the house as much as possible. I just hope Brad is right in saying that by not contacting him he's gonna miss me but he hasn't contacted me yet & only contacts me when he's replying to one of my messages. I don't know if he's just being stubborn, he's really fallen out of love with me or his interest & feelings are with someone else. He won't tell me either if he's with someone else. When I asked him a number of months ago if he had met someone else his reply was that if he said 'yes' I would go off on one, if he said 'no' I would call him a liar! A true avoidant! I really don't know what the future holds but all I can do is keep things friendly between us, keep in contact but only when it's necessary regarding our daughters &/or cats, better myself mentally, keep fit, be independent & live in hope that there's still a future (a bright future) for us & our love will be even stronger for one another from this situation. How long have you been cold and distant to him before he finally dumped you? It's very important to give it time to let whatever anger and hurt there is between you two, especially from your ex's side, subside. Well, keep in mind that the new girl isn’t you and if your relationship had been particularly good for the most part and keep in mind that you aren't responsible for making your ex see your value, then you can use that knowledge to your advantage (otherwise you really can't do anything about that now because you can't undo the past; best to take the experience as a lesson learned and try to show it to your ex and hope he is STILL open or receptive to it after giving space). Keep in mind that your ex is suffering too, even though it seems like the opposite. I know. Right now, though, it's time to find a more positive outlet for your emotions. I know it's extremely hard, but trust me, you can, it just takes strength and determination. Just accept the breakup and try to heal first. Refusing to do that will only make you stuck, granted how your ex dumped you. Give it enough time but definitely DO NOT wait for him. A wide array of different emotions coming from an ex is somewhat expected when a breakup is still fresh and this includes the likelihood of your ex giving you mixed signals. In this case, try to do the opposite of the "no contact" rule and see if your ex is receptive to contact. If your ex isn't, then it's very important to give it time to let whatever anger there is between you two, especially from your ex's side, subside. I was dating my ex for almost 4 years. Long story short, I ended things because I was confused about my feelings - things were not romantic anymore and felt too friendly. We did not act broken up for about 2 weeks of me initially "ending" things. Then finally we don't communicate for a week and during that week I realized my feelings are still there and I want to get back with him. When we met up and talked about that he said "Well I'm confused now and need some time to think about that." But, we started hanging out again and acting like we were dating but we weren't officially back together yet. He then started to say things like "we should get dinner next week". I go out of town for a weekend, asked him to come with but he said he couldn't because he had studying to do, but I saw on social media he went out every single night that weekend. He told me he wasn't getting with any girls, he was out with his lax team. Well I blew up his phone because this hurt me..... and I told him I want to talk in person when I get back in town. We talk when I get back, and he basically said "I have to tell you things are officially done 'for now'" and "I want to know what my life is like without being in a relationship because I've always had you there for me" and he even said "Maybe over this summer I'm gonna miss you and want to start seeing you again". So things are officially done, that was the last time we talked which was about 2 weeks ago. I haven't reached out to him or anything. But it feels like he's moved on because he hasn't contacted me. I don't know if I move on or wait for him. Please help

Next time he contacts you, ignore it. If your ex continues to reach out to you, however, then this really depends on the frequency and nature of the contact from your ex and whether or not you've reached the phase where you're supposed to be talking again. The only exception is if your ex asks for you back and is sincere about it. If your ex continually messages you, then it’s important to put your ex’s messages into context, more so if this happened during the “no contact” phase. Is your ex trying to contact you about something really important, like an emergency, unpaid bills, or something equally urgent? These are reasons to respond, including messages where they get angry due to your lack of response. If not, and your ex is really just texting some useless random stuff and/or asses his/her power over you, then you can just ignore and continue on with the 30-day "no contact" rule. Sometimes this trick works and sometimes it doesn't...depends on how strong the chemistry of the relationship was or if anyone of the parties cheated....Sometimes if they cheated that does not win a person back no matter what cause if you truly love your mate cheating will NEVER come to mind...so therefore the trust is dead

Sometimes the reason is you're both too lazy to work on it and just expect things to miraculously fix things for you. It's that or one or both people don't take accountability for their actions. There will always be issues in a relationship as there is never a perfect relationship, but there is a healthy one! But like I always say, the decision is ultimately up to you since you know your relationship and your ex better than anyone else on here. And alas, not every ex is worth all the trouble. It's up to you to decide who is worth fighting for at one of the toughest of battles you face in your relationship. Best of luck!

That's not really necessary. Just have the self discipline to not contact and give him the space he needs. Just try to make sure you maximize what you can within this 30-day period such as healing yourself, enjoying your own company, as well as spending time to see where it all went wrong, but only when you start to feel better, so be sure to take time to grieve first and feel the loss and cry all you want but then make an effort to pick yourself up first. Remember, you can't pick someone up (to be back in a relationship with you) if you're also feeling down yourself. Now is the time for self love. So give yourself the time and attention you need to heal first, all right? I actually waited 6 months and my ex came back ❤ were doing very well but it does feel a bit bad at times since she did have sexual intercourse with someone during those 6 months ;/ it does hurt but its going away . If you become the best version of yourself then you should just find someone up to par instead of trying to get back ex’s who aren’t worth you in the first place.
Use your discretion. Like I always say, the decision is ultimately up to you. You know your situation and your ex best. Sometimes a relationship can be salvaged and worth the save but sometimes it isn't, especially if there's cheating or some other type of abuse involved.
