- Creatinine levels increase primarily due to impaired kidney function. Each kidney contains millions of nephrons, which filter waste from the blood. When nephrons are damaged or diseased, they can't effectively filter creatinine, causing its levels in the blood to rise. Common causes of kidney damage include chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), glomerulonephritis, polycystic kidney disease, and conditions like diabetes and hypertension. Monitoring creatinine levels is crucial in assessing kidney health and function, as elevated creatinine can indicate a decline in kidney performance, necessitating further medical evaluation and intervention.

Sir can ckd patient drink tea , coffee , green tea and also raw salads like cucumber , carrot also what is opinion about lemons and vinegers for adding taste in low sodium diet plan?
CKD patients take only tea with milk, cucumber can be taken 1 or 2 small pieces daily and sometimes lemon only for taste (not regularly)

What is the diff between protein to creatinine ratio and albumin to creatinine ratio? Which one is recommended?
Maximum 24 hour urinary protein in a healthy individual is around 150 mg(Out of this around 75 mg is Tamm-horsfall protein ,20 mg is albumin,5 to 10 mg is immunoglobulin and rest are others)
In some diseases, like diabetes, hypertension mainly Albumin is increased in urine. in some other diseases likeGlomerulonephritis , cancers all proteins in urine increases, including albumin. and in some other diseases like multiple myeloma, amylodosis mainly immunoglobulin is increased.
So you see albuminuria is most sensitive marker in diabetic kidney disease.But in other causes like Glomerulonephritis, amylodosis,multiple myeloma it is better to measure proteinuria.

You are having single kidney. If one kidney is functioning, normal, there is no need to worry life long to ensure there is no abnormality in other Kidney. Please get done spot urine albumin to creatinine ratio. Please visit your nephrologist

Sir mere dwara KFT karwaya gaya tha jisme creatine-0.77mg/dl , GLOBULIN-3.30g/dl or sodium-133meq/I aya tha.

Good evening. Normal GFR is 120 ml / minute. its start decreasing beyond 30 year of age. It’s a natural process. We can prevent GFR decline by following the precautionary rules and its detail video is already posted in video with title kidney rog se bachao ke aath swarnim tarike.
GFR may increase in initial stage of diabetic kidney, disease and hypertension, and it is not a good sign.
Right renal atrophy.size 7.2*3. mm aur DMSA scan me DRF left renal 95% and right renal 5%.Two kidney stones are there in right renal. Creatinine 1.1 aur uric acid 8.5 hai.kya right renal ka function badhne ki hopes hai

Sir mera transplant k baad creat 1.6-2 k beech rehta hai urea is in normal range.Is it ok?1.5yrs ho gaya transplant ka.

Agar aur saari reports sahi hai to jaruri nahi ki ilaj karna hi karna hota hai.Aap ko bina dekhe saari reports dekhe final baat kehna mushkil hai. Aap Nephrologist se saare doubt clear karein.
