AL, please tell us what fast Freddie was like at the launch. Is he still fast? As I grew up with bikes he was the fastest enigma out there, an individual rider with his own views on resting and recuperating his body when injured, which didn’t always rest well with Honda who wanted him winning all the time. But as the only man in the modern era, well the last 35 years at least to win both 250 and 500 championships in the same year, he demands my respect at least. I saw him at a rain sodden Silverstone in that championship year of 1985, and I wont easily forget it.

Production value so good. That intro is mint. Can't wait til the mega test. I think the most major sticking point for the consumer that's going to ride these to the local cafe is the price, power band and looks. For the racers with sponsors or deep pockets looking to step on the box, not an issue. But that 2 stroke esque power band maybe horrendous on the road and tough to justify spending that kinda dough. It also just doesn't look premium from a design standpoint which is probably why you guys didn't mention how it looks, it aint sexy. But when they hit the used market....

C.B.R stands for cross beam racer, cross beam meaning it’s an inline, Honda won’t put a V4 in it as it won’t be a cbr anymore, VF stands for v4 :) cbr = inline, Vfr = v4, VTR = v-twin

This bike although the ultimate blade, has finally released me from the magic spell the blade/repsols/SPs etc had on me. I've had cbrs, I still have an old SP 2015 and I thought I'd go for this bike. But the price, the lack of shit on the standard, and how this is a real racers bike, the boring LEDs. Now idgaf I'll never pay this much for a BIKE. In Canada where I am this will easily be 35k

Id guess you read the usual UK Motorcycling Press ? As an interesting subject of which I'm no expert at all, both Bruce Anstey and Michael Rutter have run Honda RC213V-S's at the TT.Bruce set his up to suit him,i read that he preferred the Forks from his FireBlade so swapped them over.Michael Rutter had a good series in PB about the set-up of his Bike, his go-to Suspension Specialist is KTEC (from memory). Both of these are ideas to explore.

when the R1 was released there were countless adverts in MCN after the bikes release of 'bikers' selling their R1. The reason, it scared the shit out of them. The new Fireblade will do the same, born again, mid-life crisis blokes now divorced will buy a bike this which will scare the life out of them. I encourage anyone to jump on a bike, but do it within your ability.

Great Vlogage as ever. Sure it’s more than adequate for 99% of mere mortals, discomfort, size, price and no blipper aside. I just can not ever forgive Honda for the treatment of McG on the ‘17 Blade NW practise crash, fractured right leg, four broken vertebrae, and three broken ribs, it was 100% confirmed it was an electronic fly by wire race kit ECu software error, the man dealt with it as the gentleman that he is, 12 years with the brand and they didn’t even give him the nod and acted like a bunch of see you next Tuesdays and don’t get me on that Twelvetrees knob jockey....

THERE IS A BIKE WITHOUT A QUICKSHIFTER AS STANDARD IN 2020? SIGN ME UP, WHERE DO I PAY? Seriously, fuck quickshi(f)ters. They take away so much of the involvement, skill and finesse of riding, nothing feels better than a perfect clutchless shift but that takes skill and finesse and who wants to work for the acquisition of a skill nowadays, right?
