    It does have a fuel gauge of sorts, click the mode down button to find it. It works a bit different though as it calculates fuel usage since you last reset it. So you fill her up, toggle the fuel info with the mode down button, hold the reset button for 3 seconds approx to reset it. You need to know how much fuel the tank holds so if you do you can atleast keep track of your fuel usage. Better than nothing. Here's a video on how to go about it : ruclips.net/video/jr7xZUjBqMQ/видео.html

    What you said about sportsbikes for the road is exactly why I sold my R1 to buy an MT10 and then sold that for an Africa Twin. I can use every bit of my 100bhp now and chuck it around little lanes, the R1 could do 100mph in 1st gear and the MT10 was just a wheelie machine and you'd be at 100mph in a few seconds.

    Not trying to be a smart ass, but for me part of the experience with any new motorbikes is reading through the owners manual, it often reveals so many useful pieces of information and things you didn't even realise the bike can do, and they're never really that long. It'd help avoid all this confusion like not having a fuel gauge and not knowing how to set the cruise control, because these detract from the experience unfairly, when all is needed is a little user input.

    • @tubejorrit
      @tubejorrit 2 года назад +2

      I think most people are used to motorcycles without all the extra gizmo's. Like older bikes you just hop on, 1 gear down 5 up and thats it.

    • @AntaresSQ01
      @AntaresSQ01 2 года назад +2

      @@tubejorrit True, but that's like reviewing a modern smartphone based on whether it can make a call and send texts or not. There is just so much more to these bikes nowadays, they're not all about "how fast is it", and that goes even for supersports nowadays.

    If you leave your bike for long periods of time, and can't use a trickle charger, take the battery off and if poss keep it on a charger indoors instead, or just kept off the bike so it drains slower as I'm sure it has an alarm draining it. Or run the bike up to temp every week or so to get the juices flowing and put charge in the battery. My 22 y/o ZX9r is outside all the time, has the original Datatool Vito Evo alarm and never had a problem, left without starting two weeks or more at times and is ok.

    my MT03 660 doesnt have a fuel gauge either, so i just use the trip meter to guess (around town it does about 135miles between fill ups). you get about 35miles out of it once the fuel light comes on though if i have forgotten to reset the trip... the other point of note with the new E10 fuel is that it goes off much quicker, so if you leave it more than a few months there is a chance that its gone bad and the bike will run like crap. if you're laying a bike up over winter its best to use the higher octane fuels as the last fill which dont the same degradation issues.

    If you have that bike long-term, one of the best upgrades is a lithium (Li-Fe) battery. They are dramatically lighter and don't go flat like traditional lead-acid batteries. I've had them in my last 2 bikes and they could sit for months without charging, and every time the bike started like the battery was new.

    It having no fuel level is weird, cause that's the same dash as the Ninja 650 which has the fuel level indicator where you have throttle position. Kinda feel like Kawasaki could make it an option in the menu for it to show fuel level there and stick a float in the tank.
    Also, is throttle position really needed? We've all managed this long, and staring down at the dash to see what position your right wrist is seems kinda unsafe.

    Lol the hierarchy sounds like rules made up by busybodies. So glad I don't live in the UK. Nice ZX10 BTW, picked up a '21 KRT model myself last fall.

    Little Snoring near Norwich isn't as hilarious as Wetwang, but I definitely want to go there for a peaceful holiday some day.

    6:50: so true - kwacker is wasted - unless you like prison food - or can disappear quicker than houdini !! i got tiger 955i a while ago: 955cc, 3cyl; sixgears; 100 horse. due to covid madness i bought a 2011 transalp 700cc; 2cyl; five gears; 60horse. keeping legal, the triumph makes for a lazy ride, honda sounds like steve mcqueen lining it up for the fence jump. you have to work the transalp to progress quickly - so, in a way it's more engaging.

    Boothy FTW!
    Agree that superbikes are wasted on the UK roads if you're planning to stay legal 👍

    Legend Boothy.
    FWIW. I’d rather live in Wetwang than Dead Road.

    Love this. Used to live in Kilham. Know all these roads. Hunmanby is funnier than Wetwang when people call it Human Baby.

    I used to have a ZZR1400 before it got lifted into the back of a dirty 4 ton luton at 4am on a Sunday morning, used to be my daily commuter and I agree it's very nice to have and you cannot stretch her legs on the roads. Living in London you can't have anything nice for long tho... :(

    Got a 2000 ZX9R last year. Low sided on the way home. Why? The tyres date was "0402", which means the fourth week of 2002, they were 20 years old. Good video. So relaxing.
