    Hey there, Chris here.........I'm highly considering this airbrush because I love the trigger style & I'm using a Master Airbrush trigger style currently for a year & a 1/2. I think it's smart 2 move on to a better quality airbrush & I'll probably get better results as well........thanks much 4 this tutorial.

    Great video. Does the paint start to dry in the gun when waiting in between coats?

    • @ACERLiquid100
      @ACERLiquid100  2 года назад +2

      Hi Marsha, if you're doing any sort of painting it does not. However if you leave anything lacquer for more than 6, acrylics for more than 12, and epoxies or 2k longer than the working time they will eventually dry up. But during a normal 1 or 2 hour spray session and clean afterwards you should not have paint drying in the gun no.

    Thanks for the great reviews. I’m thinking of grabbing this gun for doing nice even candy on my models. I understand it’s a pig on air. Do you think my 23L/min tanked compressor will survive? Lol. thanks

      Should do fine but she'll be sucking the whole time so just monitor your output PSI on the gun to make sure you dont drop.

    We can use this bad boy to spray clear coats

    • @ACERLiquid100
      @ACERLiquid100  2 года назад

      Absolutely. Just make sure you're doing a proper cleaning in between color and clear.

    Great video,but here is my dilemma lol. I have an Iwata Trn2 Iwata Revolution, Neo CN and Neo BCN which are all easy to clean. Is this one the same or is it a pain in the a$$?

    • @ACERLiquid100
      @ACERLiquid100  2 года назад

      No different from any other airbrush my friend. Only difference is the fan head needs a little more care paid to it. Other than that no different from your Revolution or Neos

      @@ACERLiquid100 thanks a bunch bro! I went ahead and ordered it. I airbrush RC bodies on the side and was wanting something that will be a better airbrush for spraying Candies and seen the PS-290 and figured it'd be great for that. Thanks again!

    Have you tried the ps 275 with the smaller needle at all can I also ask what mask you wear cheers 👨🏼‍🦽🇬🇧👍🏻

    • @ACERLiquid100
      @ACERLiquid100  2 года назад +1

      Just a run of the Mill 3M mask with filters for general fumes. Yes I have tried the smaller needles for some smaller parts but for clear coats that are quite thick Id recommend sticking with the larger needle.

      You're missing out on some great paint, I have nothing bad to say about them. Great colors, excellent coverage when you spray thin and controlled. I highly recommend you pick some up for your next project!

    The fan head requires 40-45 psi

    • @ACERLiquid100
      @ACERLiquid100  3 года назад +5

      As with most manufacturer recommendations it can be down to the user equipment. I can spray just fine at 25-30 psi with my compressor.

  • @GorillaHavoc
    @GorillaHavoc 2 года назад

    By the way dude. You always work from the top of a model downward when spraying.

    • @ACERLiquid100
      @ACERLiquid100  2 года назад +1

      Where does it say that? From an automotive IRL standpoint you can't just pick up a car and move it around, whereas I can manipulate the body to suite how I want to spray.

    • @johnathan133
      @johnathan133 2 года назад +1

      Don't know where you got that advice from... It doesn't matter where you start from, as long as you begin spraying before and ending off the piece. If you use an Iwata LPH-50 hvlp gun for example you can make the fan pattern as wide as the car.

    • @ACERLiquid100
      @ACERLiquid100  2 года назад

      @@johnathan133 how thirsty is that one? If I did alot more 1/16+ stuff I'd have gotten it but it seemed quite the investment for something which would be too big for what's normally do.

    You paint WRONG !!! Few layers, you have only 20-30, but you need at least 200-300 !!! And you need to apply them not for 20 minutes, but for 2 weeks without stopping !!!
    ... But seriously, this model is painted in 2-3 layers in 60-120 seconds ...
    The dough needs full layers to see if the gun creates stripes or not!
    And he can have a working torch (should be) 3-5cm.

      @@ACERLiquid100 This is exactly what I wrote about, you do not understand anything about painting and do not know how to test a pistol. First you need to learn how to paint yourself. There are a lot of such empty (meaningless) videos and none of them demonstrate the capabilities of a painting tool !!!

    • @ACERLiquid100
      @ACERLiquid100  3 года назад +2

      Mmmmmm no....pretty sure I know how to paint. Perhaps if you want a point to get across in another language it would be best to understand that languages sentence structure in order to better convey what you're trying to say. Otherwise it just looks like jibberish.

      Many ways to skin a cat mate. No need to be so angry. If he wants to layer the paint on in light coats then it's his prerogative. Maybe link your video to show how you do it???

    • @user-uc9bu1hj1t
      @user-uc9bu1hj1t 2 года назад

      @@MadRS )))) no angry. Всё, надоело переводить.)) Короче. Все эти маляры моделей делают одно и то же, а потом дружно показывают полосы, пятна, отколовшуюся краску, кучу грязи, шершавость и задают потом одинаковые вопросы, почему не получается как надо, ну и большинство нахваливают...брак. А учить я больше не буду, моделисты необучаемы, им бесполезно что-то подсказывать и объяснять, каждый считает себя гением, плюс, половина из них даже спасибо не скажет, а некоторые чужие подсказки затем выдают за собственные открытия.
      Я крашу так же как красят настоящие авто, только развожу краску не на 50%, а на 60-70%, чтобы легла глаже, на модели это бывает важно из-за сложности конструкции модели и слабой производительности окрасочного инструмента(некоторые не способны правильно распылять нормальную краску, только жидкую).
