To be fair, a lot of heroes and villains start relationships with each other, break up and go back to working together. I mean, Robin and Batgirl is just the tip of the iceberg for DC characters. You wanna give yourself a headache without using DC characters? Try to remember every single X-Men relationship minus all the love triangles (the main team, without the different branching teams).
When do we get paid? You live in a mansion rent free, food free, can have anything you want given to you for free with the family credit card... The only thing missing is a therapist and that's because its Gotham where the therapists are idiots, villians, or super villians.
Seriously I think if anything they should get superman to go to Gotham and help bring Batman to a therapist off world or something to give them the mental health checkup he (and by extension the rest of the bat family. That they all) need.
I mean really just schedule him to talk with Manhunter on a weekly basis and you're set.
Hell, having a rotation for sidekick work sounds good.
That way everyone is fresh for the next big attack in gotham.
