I know you said this a year ago but I don't think it's necessarily better. It depends on the aesthetic you're looking for. If someone enjoys the mottled variation in block printmaking then they might enjoy this similar effect from some of the underglaze not fully transferring.
I was thinking about that ....I suppose it might be easier to paint on a flat piece of paper than the curve of a pot...and there's a specific look to the design when it's printed

What stage is your clay in when you apply the transfer?
She does mention in the video @3:50. Before its bisque fired in the kiln.
What cone do you fire the underglaze items to?
How long will these last before you have to use them?

I'm not sure why transfer is better than painting on clay with a brush or other tool.
