Why a 2 axle dolly and not a triple?
triple dolly is mainly used for super heavy loads like fuel and mining.
I guess it is just economical to used tandem instead of triple dolly, also govt. regulations might play a role.
Very good question with a very good answer above.
Vic road only allows 2 axle dollies in Victoria
No inductions, no PPE, no traffic controllers etc etc etc 😂
Just making it happen now that’s productivity !
Awesome safe travels
Just get it done. That used to be the Australian way. Now health and safety got in the way the same job costs 10 times more.
That was great work all you truck drivers. Well done 👌🇦🇺🤠
It sure was.
Now that's great team work guys without you truckies the road would have been blocked for possibly hours..johno I hope that your son had a great b/day..best always kaela 😊 when will you be in the mildura area.😊
Yes he had a great birthday. I'm not sure when I'll be passing Mildura. It will be when I go to Perth next which may not be until the end of next week.
Ok that's cool 😎 thanks 😊
👍
Why do some trailers have a block behind the pin and some don’t?
That's for a turntable called a 'ball race'. That turntable turns unlike most that are static.
Sponge John Y\Tube Bottom Feeder, Loves,,,Loves,,,Loves Y\Tube Money,
Oh Gary
Bonjour -- Merci pour les explications sur les différentes remorques ainsi que les TRUCK AUSTRALIEN superbe vidéo Bonne route et Bonne continuation -- Alain --- FRANCE
Thanks again Alain
I have a question Johno! Why have wipers on KW's never been improved? They honestly are crap! Agree or disagree?
These work well but I don't replace them as often as I should. I get the most out of them.
Great video Johno! 4 years driving rigids and I never realized that side lights are bi-directional 🤦🏻♂
Question: I notice your angles aren't strapped down. Do you get any grief about this at inspection stations?
Can you tell me which angles or where you saw them?
@@RoadTrainAdventuresYes, at the 5:25 mark - angles in the toolbox.
They are secure in the toolbox. Nothing can fall out
Saving the taxpayers' money! Good work. 🤗
Oh yeah
How Australian is that, fallen tree, pull it out the way with a TRUCK. awesome.
For sure. Just get the job done
Watch this Austrailians do not rely on fire and rescue departments they solve the problems by themself
I'm not sure if you're saying that in a good way or not.
Really interesting channel youve got here. One thing ive often wondered is what sets apart a road train prime mover from a standard b double one? Given the weights etc wondered if the specifications are significantly different for the drive train/chassis etc?
Most of the time a double and double road train prime mover is no different. It's only when you start pulling more trailers and heavier weights does the diff get bigger.
Don’t know how much you come on fallen trees , but that was lucky the guy had fork truck , you should carry a cheap chainsaw with you , but you all made short work of it , just as well that monsoon stoped , take care till the next one 😊
Thanks Charles. Yes the rain stopped at the perfect time.
The tree removal! Spot on 👍. There are many times things have to be done and waiting for the "Powers that be", won't happen.
You got it. Just get in and get the job done.
Great team work on clearing the tree. The chain made short work of the bulk of it.
It sure did
Interesting position to place the air bag dump valve , a tyre blow out could damage it .
Yes. Most of our dollys have that button in a different spot. I've never had a problem yet though.
Nice one Johno keep safe is your base near mildura I have relations there regards bob
Our base is in Deniliquin
Good on you mate. You are a pro in trucks I hope you help me drive a truck I got HR unstructured
I can try to help
interesting that not one person in that queue had a saw on board!. I used to always carry a saw when i worked on properties in the bush, trees and limbs over roads were not an every day item, but they happened often enough to make it worth while to carry the saw.
It is the country. Also no one else came up to help.
Good work. Was that on the Heathcote colbinabbin rd?
No. The road between Yea and Seymour
Nice to see all your keepers on outside.
Be good if you did short vid telling others they should and why
Yes. I don't do many shorts.
Another great video thank you Johnno, keep up the good work and Stay Safe.
Awesome. Thanks heaps
Enjoyed that, and welcome back. Learned a lot about trailer parts, ta. Where was the tree down? Didn’t catch the name of the town you were driving through in the rain.
That was Yea in Victoria
Without trucks, Australia's roads remain blocked. great work Johnno and the other guys. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome. Thanks Wayne
Love it Aussies getting the job done , no OH and S B Sh@T
Done and dusted before those morons got involved.
Another great one Johnno, always an education, didn’t know about the push pull button yard brake on the dolly. Great to see you blokes working together for a common cause
Yes this was a fun one to make
Now that's the Australian way.
It sure is
Super interesting. Thx!
Awesome. Thanks Mike
Awesome. Take care and god bless
Very nice. Thanks Chris and God bless you too.
❤😊
Very good
Great teamwork, well done
Very nice. Thanks Andrew
QUESTION ANYONE: Are red and blue airhose acting on the same brakedevices on the wheels?
Yes. The maxi and brake is in the same device.
There are two parts to the brake chamber. The back half is the maxi or spring brake and the front half is the section that is controlled by your foot. They are independent till the maxi is applied and then it pushes the service brake on. On the front or steer there is only the service brake chamber. Very simple and clever system that is cheap to maintain. If you can hear a big air leak when the foot brake is applied there is a hole in a diaphragm. They are all controlled by air tanks on the trailers and relay valves so they all work at the same time. There would be a delay before the brakes on the trailers came on otherwise. Jeff
Very good detail in your explanation
Now that's what I call team work awesome job guys
Very good done
Do you know how I can be a truck driver in Australia as a french ? I love so much that work
Unfortunately I don't know how the visa system works here so I can't help.
@@RoadTrainAdventures ok no problem so keep going with your video !😁
@@Orthodoxchristianguy Thanks. Will do
Great work guys .
Very nice. Thanks Brett
G’day Johno,
That Detour Transport Big Cab Cabover looks absolutely awesome with the twin tanks.
When you are towing just a dolly do you discount the blue line so the dolly doesn’t bobcat under hard braking ?
Cheers
Louis Kats 👍
Yes when towing a dolly only I turn off the tap to the blue pipe so the brakes don't apply when I brake.

Hi Jonno, Check out 'Jemma Warren' a UK truck driver, similar positive attitude to yours. Loves the trucks and does not moan.
Oh OK. I'll check her out
Yeh I watch her videos too. She gets around the uk alright. Just plods on day after day for a whole week away. Some lovely English country scenes and some tight farm yards and mill yards.
Also look at Becky Giles transporting livestock up north . Its a good watch too.@@RoadTrainAdventures
I'll be meeting up with a UK truck channel girl called Long Distant Lorry Diaries so there is another one
#Truck_on_truckers 👌✌️

Very nice. Thanks heaps
Greetings from Andreas. The German driver. It's very intresting how you work in Australia
Thanks heaps. Yes it's always interesting to see how things work in other countries.
Johnno you,'ll have the greenies and koala huggers after you mate LOL

Oh no. They shouldn't lay their tree over or roads them. Ha ha
Howdyyawl from the land down under. Not many people or road users would know what is what on a semitrailer. Its nice to see someone is willing to show the workings. It would be nice if more road users were educated to give trucks & drivers more credit on the road. Without you people noyhing would get where it's going. Thanks. Keeping it real 😊
Awesome. Thanks for your kind words. I hope it mashes a difference for us all.
It's not very big
It's not very small either
@@RoadTrainAdventures True enough, true enough.
👍
Gday johnno easly to see your trucky mate need to see the sign on the back of his trailer or where kenny he know how to get over trees regards steve
Very good. Thanks Steven
Well done lads good job I’m proud of you bunch stay safe ,the roads is waiting cheers ,and make a few bucks happy days to all
Awesome. Thanks Jess
Do you know what they do over here when there's a tree over the road? Drive around it quick if they can.Ore Wait for the fire brigade to come and saw him into pieces. I would love the bush/outback/country trucking and the way you guys handle things. No bullshit,Just handle it and solve it. Somthimes i tryd to solve some things like that. But than some other ''truckers'' came and sayd, dont do it noooooo, becose of insurance and some arguments that came up and were made up just not to do it. We dont have so much truckers anymore. Maybe the older truckers. They just spoild drivers. I cant be a part of that. Sorry for say it.
You got it. In Australia we just get the job done unless health and safety people come and make trouble. Then the whole job takes 10 times longer.
@@RoadTrainAdventures he says, Then the whole job takes 10 mi longer. hahaha love thats the way to do it.💪 Not to much talk ore pointless discussions. Just get it done. They are good at pointless discussions. Especially people from the office. Ho arnt at the job side.
Oh yeah
@@RoadTrainAdventuresi rember 1 time an accident right in front of me. The 4 wheeler was on its roof and the man was fine he sayd, but could not get out himself. His seat belt was stuck because he was hanging in it. I wanted to get him out but others stopped me and waited until emergency service arrived.
In that time his car could have explored and he be dead.
Hi Jono, would you explain us about different type of turn table next. Thanks
OK. I'll see if I can make a video on that.
Another learning lesson to put in the memory banks. How was your weekend Johnno. How was the birthday?
The birthday was great. It's still the weekend for us being a public holiday today.
Very interesting information on the dollies and trailers Johnno.
Great teamwork on road obstruction, getting it done guys 👍.
Thanks again.
congrats to all at the tree, especialy to Mr, Fork lift Aussies help eachother doesn't get any better than hat, take a bow boyes,,,,,,
For sure. Thanks Jim
Great work guys and Johnny..deserves a coffe
Mmmmmm coffee
Notice the bull bars? Those things are the real deal. Great job, clearing the road.
Thanks Jay. Yes most of our trucks that travel the country have these.
Reminded me of the old days on the road, when stuff like this would happen and it was truckies that cleared it, great to see there are still some old timers working
Oh yeah. For sure
Nice work, damn headlight😊
Thanks Rick. I got that replaced now.
u kinda remind me of John Jarratt lmao the guy on wolf creek
Ha ha. I haven't seen that movie.
@@RoadTrainAdventures u gotta watch it btw what made u want to become a truck driver?
