The painting is so cute! Who wouldn’t love to get this as a day brighter! 😁
Thanks 😊
I like vases, glass ones, vintage ones, but only ones I will use. I also love art supplies, I seem to have a lot of alcohol markers. I love my Ohuhu ones. Your painting is delightful. You collect whatever you want. It is your life, your space and your joy.
Thanks!
I collect collections. 😎
😂
Nice!
🤣🤣
That palette is so darn cute! Nice project! 🎉
Thank you!! 😊
Really nice painting! ❤
Art supplies!!😂🤣 Also pins from everywhere, they are fastened to the crown of my sun hat; the weight really helps in the wind! Last, Alice in Wonderland. I used to have an art challenge blog called "The Altered Alice" so a lot of this collection is handmade.
That's fantastic!
❤yarn,paint, project’s
Such a sweet painting! Would absolutely love getting this in the mail and I’m sure your recipient will too! Thanks Lindsay!
Thanks 😊
I love your sketches and paintings. You did a great job here after seeing you swatch these paints. I collect rocks. I also have collected some art supplies. Trying not to duplicate anything. Lol
Thank you so much!
I love your mini travel pallet collection!
Me too!!
I collect pencil crayons, watercolour pencils and watercolour paints 🎨...art supplies in general are my jam!
Love that!
I collect Octopi and hand made water colors. and sketchbooks...and.... Love that little pallet!
Nice!
I think your painting turned out lovely even if you weren't crazy about the paints. Thanks Lindsay.
Thanks 😊
That pallet is so dang cute.
It is!
I ask love travel palettes!!! ❤
So cute painting! Quick tip on brown ink. A 0.3 Pilot Preppy and the brown Thea waterproof Sketch Ink by Rohrer and Klingner will give you a sustainable option once your Brown fineliners run out. Love the colours of the flowers and the window with the sign. I could sense in your voice that you had fun doing this! Thanks a lot for that extra bit of shared fun.
Thanks for the tips!
Hullo Lindsay, I have several collections. I started with comic books, I still have an Incredible Hulk and Supergirl from 1972! You might be un-surprised at the state of my spare rooms closet, yep full of comic book boxes that are full of bag n boarded comics. I have quite a few watercolor palettes too, but I am still happiest with my ink pens and ink collections my fountain pens are on the limited side but I started Calligraphy at just 11 years old with steel nibs and my collection of those is far grander! I found the Rohrer & Kilngner sketch inks a few years back and they work wonderfully with watercolor as they are waterproof and dry rather quickly, much better than other pigment inks like Platinum/Carbon Black ink. I do love how you changed the reference to fit your vision of the painting! This truly is why we paint! Creating the ideal is from the painters mind and not as a simple recorder of place or time, a photo can do that! You are so much more than a camera! Thank you for sharing this lovely scene with us.
Thank you Mark! You would LOVE Monhegan Island. Beautiful scenes everywhere and so many artists just painting!
Inks and fountain pens could be a big collection. All those colors in pretty glass bottles, I'm not even looking lol!
@@thefrugalcrafter Oops I believe your confusing me with someone named Mark, I am Michael. I am not sure how you keep any names straight!
Hi, Lindsay. Thank you for your video. Best wishes to you! And Happy the week. ❤️
Thank you! You too!
Hi Lindsay! I got soo excited when i saw that a new video of yours popped up in my feed! Your videos are such a breath of fresh air, especially after a tough day at uni or work. Currently binge watching your videos😂 Absolutely in love with you and your channel! Keep it up!!❤
Yay! Thank you!
My husband would say i collect blankets! For a two person household we have over a dozen throw blankets 😂
You won't be cold:) my palettes warm my soul! Haha!
I think these are wonderful. Great job, awesome. Thats something I would make those.
Thank you! 😊
The little pallette is super cute! I collect books (that I go back and read occasionally), I (unfortunately) collect paint supplies, mostly watercolors, higher quality, and if you asked my friends I collect seeds 😅. I use the seeds quite a bit though. Lovely painting.
Thanks for sharing!!
This is so cute 😊😊
Thanks 😊
I collect markers: alcohol, watercolor, water-based, india ink, paint, etc. I can see how you do not love the paint, but that palette it came in is super cute! The palette for sure is a keeper. 🎨 cute little painting and yes good call to change it from a blue to yellow window. it sure did brighten up the whole painting. ☀
Have you tried the Albright drurer watercolor markers by gamer Castell? They are so good and might be cheaper where you live. I highly recommend!
@@thefrugalcrafter I have them yes! Just didn’t get a chance to try them yet. Soon! 🤞
Brilliant! I love it. Love seeing the cute palette used, love your gorgeous painting and I love the idea of the shop/gallery selling bit of art supplies. I think art supplies would be great in supermarkets. It's so sad non artists are usually left with blue pen/ black pencil as grown up options. My to do lists are so much more fun when they are sketched in colour. Everyone deserves creativity and colour in their life. Hopefully people visiting on holidays will find this hidden treasure of a shop and discover colour again. And more shops will have art supplies. Thank you for sharing the joy. I don't actively collect anything anymore but I have tiny collection of antique miniature Bibles, my pride and joy, and miniature watercolour palettes, some bought bot mostly diy. I'm really happy with my collections, I don't feel the need to adding to it but of course if I come across something I really like I might. Collecting and using art supplies is such a wholesome hobby in my opinion.
I agree and your collection is lovely too!
I collect Alice in Wonderland items, Disney Doorables, and gel crayons/paint sticks. -Kryste
I collect art supplies. But I told myself this year I need to start using the art supplies.
Good idea!
I collect lighthouse figurines and miniature wooden sailing ships.
Beautiful!
Very cute painting. That little palette is really nice. What don't I collect? 😂 I was the second grader that had ripped crayon wrappers stuck in my desk because they were too pretty to throw away. I did eventually or it was done for me. I don't remember that part, but I've been thinking about doing an art project using some just for fun. I collect old books from 1900 and before, cookbooks, a small collection of guitars and sewing machines, old Shiny Brite Christmas ornaments, costume jewelry, arts and crafts supplies, and whatever grabs my attention that's antique. I've been on an accumulation freeze for a few years though because I really don't want to add anything else and I've given some away. I'm happy with what I have.
Sounds good! Love vintage ornaments.
Love a quick little painting 🎉
I was thinking of getting into MINIATURE artwork ( line and wash) so ill be collecting supplies for it...lol I get bored easily so I don't really collect any one thing 😅
Fun!
I guess I collect art supplies. If you came to my house, you'd think I collected ceramic birds. Nope, they were my mom's, and when she passed 31 yrs ago, no one in the family wanted them but me. Now, I ask myself, " What am I to do with these and also her collection of Hummel figurines?" They used to be valuable, now they're not. Lol. I'm glad I never got into collecting. At 79, I'd like to thin out stuff!
That's sweet Jim:) If they bring you joy or happy memories, keep them! But i get what you mean, I don't want to leave a bunch of crap for my kids to deal with when I'm gone.i guess they could bury me with the palettes!
Just recently started collecting fountain pens and ink. Love playing with them and using the ink to make some bookmarks. But I guess I collect watercolors too. But felt I better use them as some are having separation issues from the tubes. 😂but love color !
Oh yes, fountain pens could be an addiction. I have a few but I'm not going down that road...yet! Lol!
@@thefrugalcrafter 💖✨😂
I collect projects that are half done!😂
😆 don't we all?
I collect carnival masks. I also love my travel palettes, if I say I collect them then it sounds better… 😎
I totally agree!
"Don't force the fit" is a very valuable lesson to finally learn. Oh man, I'd hate to add up all of my years of wasted time and money because of this habit. Well done for your realization..... and a nice bonus for those who are lucky enough to hear it from you, then have their own epiphany.
I totally get collecting the travel palettes or anything else. You're drawn to them and can afford to indulge this fun, AND as a bonus you actually use them...... not to mention that you use them to teach us stuff so you can write it off as a biz expense. Who would have an issue with that? pfffttt!
Curious me wants to know: Does it mess with your love of a new palette if the paints that come in it are a disappointment like these seem to be? Or does the It-Factor coolness remain if you put your own paints in?
If the paints are bad it's great because I can gut it with no worries. If they ate mediocre (cotman, schminke academy, phoenix, superior) I feel bad gutting it because the paint it useful. In the case of the cotman travel box i just removed but kept the pans to put in other cotman palettes when they ran out. Sometimes I feel bad if I don't have a use for them and leave them in but with crappy paint I can gut it with no issue. I wasn't sure it came with paint so it wasn't a loss. It is hard to waste tho.
@@thefrugalcrafter Yeah, I totally feel you. I think we need to get over this little brain glitch, toss them, then feel the freedom. :)
Yeah I like that paint better in that palette 🎨. Thanks 👍 JK FLORIDA USA 🇺🇸
Right on
I just got my Funto palette-it’s so cute! What paint did you end up putting in yours?
For now I just put in the small pans in the old meilang 52 palette. I think I will use tubes once I am sure of the colors I want:) I like that I can change my mind with the mini pans.
🙂
Any Art supplies, but I love to collect cups
Nice!
Wait. I have a genuine question. How do you store or keep rubber stamps so that they don't degrade and get all hard, and then hard and cracked? I have a few stamps from when I was in grade school and they didn't last. Is there some trick that I'm missing?
I keep emerging away from light. If a stamp gets hard I coat it with vegetable glycerin and it softens it up. Just leave it on and don't wash it before use.
@@thefrugalcrafterDoes the glycerin mix with the ink and affect the stamp at all? I suspected there was a trick! I never bought rubber stamps after that because I figured they all expired. Thank you. Good to know.
@@sanctityjohnson289 nope, it's fine
What did ya use to get the old paints out?
A butter knife, I do it in the review video.
@@thefrugalcrafter oh makes sense, I play catch up Saturday's 🤣🤣
I collect stones 🤣
Nice!
