Something that's really exciting for me is that Takeharu Ishimoto is making the music for this game. He made the music for Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core and both The World Ends With You Games. So at the very least we know that the music will be great.

When I hear the "every game's an arena fighter" I think to myself, how else can they include a diverse amount of playstlyes that fit anime? Doing that with anime rpgs is way harder, alot of skills are just the same with different sizes and colors

I’m so glad it’s an arena fighter. Mostly because arena allow dozens upon dozens of characters. And Bleach has too many iconic characters. If it was a 2D fighter made by ArcSys, they’d limit it to 25-30 characters and probably 12-15 dlc. And you can’t add more because balance. 2D fighters lately don’t go beyond 40-50 characters. And there’s too many cool bleach Characters to pass up. Plus with everyone having to be “balance” and the movement being restricted to 2D…yeah no. Big SF/KOF fan, but I want a bleach experience first…and not a 2D fighter with Bleach skins on top of it. I’m glad it’s arena. No character restriction. No movement restriction. And fanservice! And I hope it has something like KLK which is for me the best arena fighter ever made mechanically. I’d be so happy. Also, Tamsoft did Battle Arena Toshinden. That’s interesting.

Now with Tamsoft who is known for making Senran Kagura games is the developers behind this new Bleach game. So they should have a better understanding of making a proper battle arena game.

I don't really care about the arena fighter thing. It's overused in anime games for a very good reason cause it's a perfect sub genre of fighting games for anime to replicate the fights accurately to how they happen in the show. As long as this doesn't make the same mistake something like demon slayer made where they think just cause PVP is so popular these days that means they get to just do a story mode and have the only other worthwhile thing be the PVP. I'm not a pvp guy I need more single player modes than just story and free battle to keep me going.
Btw people not only is this the first bleach game in a long time but going to the end of the arrancar arc is a good starting line If I’m correct this is the actual first bleach game to adapt the beginning until the end of the arrancar saga. All the past games just usually start off from a certain point like Soul Resurrection only covered the arrancar arc. Heat the soul only started from certain points each game. Also the roster is going to be large. The original group, the captains, vice captains, vizards and the arrancars. And this not even including transformations. They also could cover the movies and the filler arcs for DLC as well. Same can be said for the fullbring arc too(unless they save that for a sequel along with TYBW since it should be finished within the next 2-4 years.)
