Tried the sea cask for the first time today. Absolutely loved it.
Looked up "Aerstone" last night and this reveiw was the1st thing that popped up, I watch you guys all the time. My usual shop was closed was going to pick up a bottle of Ardbeg 10 so I went to my back-up store and they dont carry Ardbeg, however they had this Aerstone, bought a bottle of the Land Cask. Sipped while watching yalls reveiw. Gotta say for a $30 bottle I was pleasently suprised. Peaty and smokey, not very complex but I found it interesting. Thank you guys. Monitze!!
The price is what makes it worth while. I love Islay scotches but spending $50+ is something I can't always do. I get Aerstone for $27 and it satisfies my Petey craving I get. If it was $40 or more I wouldn't get it.

The more I watch these guys the more I like them. Not only for the humor and whiskey but now for putting adds in to save someone’s job. I hate adds and skip all the time. On here I will not skip Adds out of sheer principle.

Right now would be a great time for me to hit the lottery because I swear I'd without question send you guys a million dollars to keep everything going if I had it on hand. Might have only discovered you about a month ago and might _ABHOR_ alcohol, but there's something about watching two people so passionate about what they're into that the Internet needs. I really hope the ads do help keep things going.

I picked up the Land Cask a couple weeks ago and was really hit by that aftertaste that sticks around. I have never had that in a scotch before. Definitely interesting and unique to me. After a couple sips, I was fine with it. When I bought that one, I saw the Sea Cask next to it, and just picked it up a few days ago. Much milder in flavor and I actually prefer that one. Both are quite affordable here in the Kansas City area for around $30 or so.
I have to say, I love the little FUNK graphic.

I saw these in the store a few days ago and because of the price was really considering purchasing one, but didn't know anything about them (until now), but ultimately balked due to the 40%ABV.
Frist time I got my hand on Aerstone was the Sea Cask for 14€ (17€ price tag with a discount). I didn't expected much but for the money it's just a no brainer. I religeously kept the bottle for months to be able to share it as the kinda hidden cheap gem. Now that the product starts to sell it's more around 20€ here but it's still a definitive bang for the buck (especially the sea cask that has this nicely balanced salty/briney feel on the tongue, while the land cask might have more competition in this price range).
I had this one exactly one year ago, I brought a bottle to a wedding of two good friends! It said "smooth" on the bottle so I thought it'd be good for non whiskey drinkers.
I don't mind the ads because you are doing the whiskey spirits a service.
You know, here in South Africa we get these Aerstones at 43% and I suspect the extra 3% really makes the difference. This is really a helluva a whisky at the price. I love it.
I am obsessed with that pepper note in scotch. It’s so evasive and I’m not sure what part of the process makes that note come alive. I really would love to pin point it.

These Aerstone whiskies are definately very cheap. €20,- in the Netherlands (comparison: Lagavulin 16 is €55,- to 70,-, Balvenie 12y doublewood is €40,-). They're probably the cheapest single malts available in the Netherlands. Cheaper than entry level Glenfiddich/Glenlivet etc.

A few months back he talked about a "close call" transporting a work client's weed baggie and it sounded like a pretty nerve-wracking experience for him. It's very illegal in Texas and while that might not stop everyone, I believe he said his wife made him flush it down the toilet rather immediately. It's funny how THC-inspired his humor can seem sometimes, though!
Whiskey noob here, started drinking whiskey back in March and may have a couple glasses a month. I’ve noticed that I get nightmares after. I have very vivid dreams anyway, but a glass of Wild Turkey 101 had me getting mauled by a wolf in my sleep. Any other side effects amongst the MBs?

Hello guys. Is the Sea cask very much like the Old Pulteney 12 ?
The sea cask tastes like what pine trees next to a misty overcast mountain lake looks like. It has about 3 notes, pepper, salt water, & mild tabacco.
Sat here sipping the sea cask for the first time ever.
Just discovered it.

this is made 20 mins drive from my home. on offer at supermarket it is £23 right now. at that price is is well worth buying. no idea what it sells overseas for.
For the price you can't complain about Aerstone. Ardbeg and Laphroig are over $50 here and I can't always afford that. But when I am craving something petey I can get Aerstone for $27 and it is good enough to satisfy that craving.
I found that it wasn't Ocean Air I was getting but more of a larger lake air. Like a like Michigan, or a larger Mountain Lake. With fresh water seaweed. Or river seaweed. Like the mist over a water fall...

Land cask apart from a citrus note all I seem to taste is smoke. Not overly keen but don't hate it either so will finish the bottle.
Is there a higher monetary amount that goes to channel if you watch the full ad? If so, all you MB just let the ad run so they get the max $ to save someone from going on the unemployment line! Cheers!!!

See I was enjoying playing them off of each other and then I read this. At first you could tell they were mixed then after about 15 minutes it tasted like a more complete scotch.
not gonna lie....I just literally opened a bottle of Sea cask, took a sip straight.... wasn't overly impressed. Drop of water in it.......wow it really opens it up.
