This is a really good perspective on off-roading. A big thumbs up. I am definitely going to follow up on this presentation.
Nice build thanks for sharing! Had I been aware of an option to test drive a built 4Runner before I started, I definitely would have. Unfortunately, I went down that slippery slope two and a half years ago and haven’t looked back. Could you please give the details of the front Limited Slip differential as this is the first 5th gen 4Runner build I’ve heard of with one? From the beginning, I’ve been looking to add one to both the front and the rear but have been discouraged (but not deterred) by others. I’ve had them front and rear in other vehicles and they were unstoppable!
Got these same wheels (Motegi Trailites) on my Tacoma 😁
Fantastic build. great video.
Thanks!
Great video, the opening shots were very well done. This is a cool idea too... I have friends that live in SoCal, they often go out into the desert in their Land Cruiser. I'd love to join them, but the fuel bill to head out there from Rhode Island would kill me lol. Maybe flying out and doing something like this may be more cost effective.
Thanks! Yeah definitely. And just time wise. Like if you only have a week off and it takes 2 days to drive across the country. The gas and time is tough. But it’s also hard to not want to use your own rig so I can see it go both ways.
How you liking the pedal commander so far?
I just got me my first 4runner. I'd like to make a few modifications such as bumper and skid plates. I live in Tampa, Florida where do I start? anyone around this area to help me build it?
How is that wireless CarPlay dongle? I’m scared to get it because people will say it causes lag and totally ruins calls and stuff.
How does it perform?
It’s perfect. I even disconnected the USB port and reconnected it behind the dash. It works like an OEM system.
@@ryanbrock368 What wireless dongle did you go with? Was looking into this. Awesome build btw.
I want one of these 4X4's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I WISH I could like the front bumper chops on these things but they just look ridiculous. Everything else seems to satisfy my eye.
I want to rent it without all the upgrades and stock suspension and tires than drive it in the same backcountry 🤡
Camera work and editing great.... This guy just seems like he has a lot of money and not the sense to know or intention on what he is spending it all on. Typical 'overlander'
