Apple’s refusal to allow emulation frustrates me to no end. Especially on the M series iPads.

It would be nice. Leave it up to the users to do it honestly. Although realistically, that's probably a small demographic.

@@9to5Mac definitely a smaller demographic, but having access to virtual machines is a huge deal for IT people and developers. Basically the people who influence what businesses buy, and make the software for everyone to use. Kind of like discontinuing tractors, because only farmers use them.

If apple is forced to open the app store, will apple have to charge for iOS updates? will it make updates a lot slower? in order to keep everyone "happy"?

It would be ok if it worked, I paid and I am in the EU I did everything as instructed but it doesn't work for me like many others. read the comments Bro, and what did I pay for? Air

Note that this core technology fee isn't for "marketplaces" but apps that want to distribute through other Appstores.
It's not just the market places that have to pay but EVERYONE, even free apps.
That is basically killing alternative Appstores because nobody is willing to pay like 5 million € for 10 million downloads a year...
Especially if the app is free

Plz tell him that his altstore via windows has lot of bugs ,
App takes lot of time to install and without error wouldn’t install.
    Only 3 apps
    Only for 7 days
    Why

This is explained during the show. It's Apple's own restrictions for free dev accounts.

Unfortunately Apple has not given the EU the middle finger, because I think, the EU needs Apple MORE, than the other way around.
Hopefully this system to coerce Apple into doing things, they would never have done of their own accord, set a precedent and attracts more bullies like the EU

Ohhh I’m sorry, but what do you call someone who forces another person to do something against their will, something that goes against the other person’s beliefs?

    • @andrejstemmle606
      @andrejstemmle606 4 месяца назад

Ok, to be honest, if the EU didn’t force Apple to change the charging port to USB C, we’d still have this awesome ( meant sarcastically) lightning port, that is so true

How are people still defending a $3T company for having a monopoly. Yes sure they made the platform to what it is today. But being a developer takes a lot away with the apple tax. It's unfair from both developer and consumer point of view. And if you are an iPhone user worried about shady apps, you still have the choice to not download from a 3rd party app. It's about having a choice for the rest that do want to download from other sources.
