I was on pain relief when I did this I’m sure I over did it as my knee was swollen the next day. Now it feels so much better. Went for a walk and had much less pain, will continue this with the knife but will be much more gentle. I did my ankle too it’s feeling better as well. Thanks so much.😀

My anterior cruciate ligaments were torn and the meniscus ruptured. It often happens to me that my knee or the meniscus falls our and then for a week I can't walk and i need to help myself with crutches. I watched your video, I did as you showed and I managed to put the meniscus back in place, so now I can walk without pain. I was so happy that i cried. I love you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have a torn meniscus and have been on crutches for the past 2 days to get around. Went to see the doctor today and all they could recommend was surgery. I have to go to work tomorrow and can’t afford to miss any days right now. I tried these two exercises and I felt my knee pop. I hopped up right away and started walking again with no pain. Thank you for sharing this video. You really saved me from a lot of pain and discomfort.

@@euclid9492 I had it for 2 years due to a hiking accident and it varied in intensity of pain . As a 25 year old who does alot of climbing and hiking and also suffers with depression it was really sucking the life quality out of me , i was unable to do what I love and it isolated me . I was told it can cause athritis over time in young patients .So I got the surgery and feel great now. I guess it depends on your age, cause of the tear, lifestyle and on whether you are an athlete if a surgery makes sense to you .

Dude I swear I could kiss you! 😭 3 years ago I flipped over on a bicycle, and my meniscus has been jammed out of place ever since. After 5 acl surgeries Ive been too afraid to go to a orthopedic surgeon for fear they’d tell me I’d need surgery again. I just tried your kneeing towel trick! I gripped the towel and kneeled back on it, and my whole knee just shifted back into place. The release pain hurt so bad I blacked out on the floor for a good 30mins. It feels so much better now!
Thank you so much 🙏 🙏🙏🙏

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!
I was not going to be one of those people that write a comment about how they've been in pain for a long time, and they tried this, and their pain suddenly went away. But I was sadly mistaken. Before I saw this video, I was pricing and evaluating walkers, at the same time as figuring out where to put my TENS unit pads on my left knee probably due to a torn meniscus. (Since I had surgery on my other knee years ago, and swear I will never have meniscus surgery again, I was truly at a loss.) I put the stupid towel under my knee while I was laying down, and did several stretches and squeezes, and my knee stopped hurting. I know this is not permanent, but sometimes you just need temporary relief from constant pain. This pain wakes me up during the night and has been for months. After I finished my towel exercise, I stood up from the bed and my leg didn't feel like it hurt like hell. It didn't hurt at all. I am going to practice this, and maybe even get onto the second exercise if I feel adventurous enough. I realize this is not voodoo, and I'm not a paid person to write comments. But all I can say is: THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!

Thanks for posting this. I've been nursing a tear, waiting for the MRI appointment, and my knee decided to lock up. This time it wouldn't release, leaving me in this annoying squat position as my leg wouldn't straighten without feeling pain. I figured there had to be a way to pull the joint slightly apart for the meniscus to try and resettle and I ran into your video. I did a few reps and then I felt a scary shift of the cartridge popping around.
Like magic, I can stand again. The knee is sore though, similar to how sore it is after it locks and releases like normal. But I'd rather have that soreness with a range of motion, rather than a locked knee. Thanks, again.

After playing tennis for after five years, I developed sudden pain to my right knee, likely to be a right meniscus injury. At first it was a concern because of the ongoing knee discomfort. Used analgesics and time which relieved the pain, but it was still there. Dr your exercise took away my right knee pain/meniscus injury by around 95%, few seconds straight away after the manoeuvre. Now I can continue with my morning stretching and the regular knee exercise. It was a learning lesson for me. Thank you and keep up the great work Dr.

You're my angel. My best 3 - 4 minutes on RUclips. I saw a doctor today after 4 years of on and off pain on my knee. My knee was almost locked and couldn't fully extend or close it. Getting in out of the car was one of the most painful things I ever done. Doctor recommended MRI which will be after 4 days, but could not tolerate the pain any more. I did some self diagnosis and I am very positive for meniscus tear (inner). Followed this exercise and my pain 90% is gone and can walk and bend my knee again. I failed at the first test and almost cried for the second one, but pushed anyways.

Literally just done this and heard a proper pop! Been on crutches for 3 days sat in a&e for hours on 2 consecutive days no solution! which is mostly the standard whenever this happens. Been dealing with it for years. I usually get someone to pull giving it traction until the release but this is really painful and most people are unwilling to do it.
Thank you very much for posting, finally a technique I can do myself without having to rely on others for help. It really did work:)

Three months ago, I hurt my right leg while playing tennis. I had a sharp pain whenever I would bend my leg or get up suddenly. I was loosing hope in recovering naturally. I tried using icy hot roller but my leg built up tolerance so it stopped working. I used heat, ice and tried all the methods to recover naturally. Unfortunately, nothing worked. After overnight fishing trip I was so done with the pain that I was about to make a doctors appointment to find out what was really happening to my leg. Until I found your video and after completing your exercise I felt such a relief that I started sobbing. My husband realized how bad my pain was and that it was affecting me mentally. The first two weeks of doing the exercise I felt some pain but it was tolerable. After doing this exercise for a month I felt like I got my life back. I get a bit sore after tennis session but nothing too bad. I want to thank you again for making this video and saving me not only medical bill but also saving my mental health. I own a designated towel for this exercise since I will be doing it for the rest of my life. Thanks again!

I've been reading the comments to see how everyone has been reacting to this video... Reinjured, a torn meniscus that has also lifted from the bone yrs ago. Recently when I was on my trampoline, running in place like a football player; Ever since then it hasn't been the same, constant pain when standing from a sitting position... Swelling and all, I'm excited to try this exercise. I'm a little nervous because a doctor told me no deep squatting 😬 years ago.
