    I found that by building a 3x3, placing the lecturn in the utmost corner (of the same wall as the door), you can rotate the chairs [like you did in your sawtooth fracture ward] around the lecturn. I managed to fit approx 40-50 anatomy models in the remaining space and with the posters got my room to a boosted 60% training speed.
    On topic about the whole series: Pinstar, you're a legend. You've blown my mind to simple things that have been under our noses this whole time and you've helped me [and many others] gain better efficiency and greater joy out of our hospitals! Thank you for this series, it has been more than helpful!

    You don't need to worry about students taking their seats or even the teacher going to the lectern. Training begins as soon as the student and teacher are in the room. You can verify this by watching a student's progress.
    Also to speed up training, manually pickup the students and teacher and drop them in the training room. Obviously you can only pick up the teacher if one of your own staff is doing the teaching. When you have a late game expensive training room it will often be in another plot and the majority of the training time is actually the time it takes for the teacher/student to get to the room

  • @nategar412
    @nategar412 Год назад

    Good stuff on the room shape for the Space Invaders training room. Really maximizes the number of posters that can be placed.
    When it comes to the other bonuses, I prefer anatomy models over bookshelves. For the size and money, it's more efficient to cram as many as possible than it is to place bookshelves, not to mention not needing to worry about pathing issues. They along with the posters provide attractiveness as well, so there's no need for Gold Star Awards.
    The only benefit I see the Bookshelves having is in your build from your other video: the Oklahoma Training Room. It makes entry and exit more efficient to line the hallway with bookshelves than with anatomy models.

    With removing the spaces, one space gets you 6% increase from the posters, but if you kept the space and are able to pack 4 bookshelves in the same space without pathing issues, that would be 10%. Will be fun to try, thanks for putting this out there.

    i did some test, and i found that anatomy model take up the same space overall as the bookcase II for the same amount of +%training (i mean you can fit 4 anatomy model in the same space a bookcase II take) but it cost 200$ less per +1% training and you dont have to worry about people being able to access them. did you try this ?
    Btw it often look ugly, i imagine student being surrounded by fake corpse for their studies, must give the chills.

    • @notnewtohere
      @notnewtohere 6 лет назад +1

      you can then place the bookcases across the desks where students do sitting animation the same way you can double down on the medicine cabinets

    • @fahmiyusailmana2033
      @fahmiyusailmana2033 6 лет назад +2

      It's like "oh man these fake bodies makes me learn about cancer faster."
      anyway why not skip subtract from room and just fill up the whole room with models?
      i mean subtract the room just gives an extra two posters. but you can fit in like 6 models or more?

    • @sinomirneja771
      @sinomirneja771 5 лет назад +1

      The calculation is not as simple. it's less of 4 v 1 and more of 6 v 2. (two bookcase II sharing access area take the same space as 6 models.) now per tile you get (8/6 > 1) from book cases, but the catch is, you can't fill most rooms with 2x3 boxes, specially since you need access. Price wise though the models are better, as you account for.

    For your first design, placing the door in the corner makes you lose one wall "sub-section" , if you put the door in the middle, you should be able to fit 2 more posters (moving things inside to adjust should not be a problem since you have space in this design).

      They recently released an update where you can save templates for use in other hospitals. You can't (at the moment) share/download them from other users but it will allow you to build the room once and save it so you can just copy/paste it in future hospitals.

    • @Pinstar
      @Pinstar  6 лет назад

      I haven't taken training % to it's logical conclusion, no. Past a certain point the cost and space requirements for such a room become so great that by the time you could afford it, you've essentially won the level already. The space invader at least has a place in a 2 star hospital where you still need to make the push to 3 but have the cash and training need for a more powerful training room.

  • @duckpond7856
    @duckpond7856 5 лет назад +2

    Interesting. However, I'm really hoping that this isn't how I need to build rooms.

    • @Turtlesism
      @Turtlesism 4 года назад +2

      These are guides to making the most efficient possible rooms, but it's not required to make a successful hospital in any way. Training has the biggest and most important effect early on in the game, where you cannot afford to have staff off in training for too long in any way. Personally, I never do some of the things shown in this like spam a ton of the same posters on every wall and build weird rooms. I've got all my hospitals to three stars and my rooms look very aesthetically pleasing.
      On the other hand, sometimes you might want to do this early on and then, when money isn't as much of an issue, build ideal aesthetically pleasing/realistic rooms once you've got yourself established. I personally recommend building the first training room in this video early, then once you've got a good hospital running deleting some of the gribbles etc to have a realistic looking room.
