It really got me when you asked what to do to get it approved and the woman that was helping you said “you need to change the law”. It wasn’t too long ago when no countries recognized same sex marriage and now over 38 countries recognize same sex marriages! I fully believe you won’t have to wait too much longer for the government to accept your relationship as legitimate. The work you are doing here on RUclips is helping so many people. As a foreigner and gay man living in Korea, I also have your same feeling about wanting to marry whilst living here and be legally recognised as well. It it possible for me to get married in my embassy but then it is only recognised by my country and not here in Korea. I hope Korea and the rest of the world catches up eventually to allowing same-sex marriage and its legal recognition around the world. love to you both congrats for 10 years

I was blessed to witness my friends, Kevin and Karl get married a few years ago. Kevin was a retired US Air Force officer. A couple of years ago Kevin passed away and Karl is a widower. Kevin had to designate Karl as his beneficiary for the annuity from the military but life went on and he forgot. Now Karl is fighting to receive survivor benefits. Remember to have everything that your country allows, signed and filed in whatever procedure South Korea requires. You deserve all of the love and support in this world. I bow to you both. I can't immagine a world where they couldnt marry who they wanted legally. I am a 57 year old Caucasian straight woman in the US, but I cannot wait for the day when ALL people who love each other, no matter what gender, identity, or arrangement, or country, can get legally married in any country and be recognized in any country. I cannot wait for the day when all of this is a non-issue and no one even has to think twice about getting married to whomever they love.

Even if your marriage can't be officially registered because the law doesn't allow it, I am so proud of you and happy for you. You are two amazing and wonderful people who love each other with heart and soul. I love your couple videos so much because you are an authentic couple who occasionally give an insight into your everyday life. No acting and pretending. Just two men who have been a couple for 10 years now and still love each other very much, even if there are arguments now and then. I hope you grow old together and continue to love each other so sincerely. Here in Germany, same-sex couples have been allowed to marry legally for a few years now. I was so happy for the LGBTQ+ community that it even brought tears to my eyes. I wish for you and all the same-sex couples in Korea and all over the world that the law will finally change in your favor. After all, same-sex couples are nothing more than two people who love each other so much that they want to get married. No one should be forbidden to do so. Because love is love! 현행 민법에는 그 어디에도 동성 간 혼인을 금한다는 구절이 없습니다. 다만 그럼에도 동성 간의 혼인을 인정할 수 없다는 태도인거죠. 세상은 느리지만 바뀌고 있습니다. 멀지 않은 시일에 동성 간의 혼인이 법의 테두리에서 인정받을 수 있는 날이 오리라고 확신합니다.

As a foreigner and gay man living in Korea, I also have your same feeling about wanting to marry whilst living here and be legally recognised as well. It it possible for me to get married in my embassy but then it is only recognised by my country and not here in Korea. I hope Korea and the rest of the world catches up eventually to allowing same-sex marriage and its legal recognition around the world. love to you both congrats for 10 years

I was blessed to witness my friends, Kevin and Karl get married a few years ago. Kevin was a retired US Air Force officer. A couple of years ago Kevin passed away and Karl is a widower. Kevin had to designate Karl as his beneficiary for the annuity from the military but life went on and he forgot. Now Karl is fighting to receive survivor benefits. Remember to have everything that your country allows, signed and filed in whatever procedure South Korea requires. You deserve all of the love and support in this world. I bow to you both.

I can't immagine a world where they couldnt marry who they wanted legally. I am a 57 year old Caucasian straight woman in the US, but I cannot wait for the day when ALL people who love each other, no matter what gender, identity, or arrangement, or country, can get legally married in any country and be recognized in any country. 😢 I cried with you both. Hopefully one day you will be able to get your wish. The barriers you are facing may not be in your favor but it will happen and you can a civil union for 10 years. Marriage is more than an application or certificate of a union. It is the love, understanding, and respect you all have for each other. Both of you are wonderful, beautiful souls, and that application/certification of a paper will not define your true love you share. 퀴어로써 앞으로 어떻게 살아가야할지 두렵고 막막했던 십대시절 망원댁을 보며 많이 위로받고 나도 저렇게 살아가면 되겠구나 힘을 얻었었는데 혼인신고를 하시는 두분을 보며 이십대가 된 지금도 앞으로의 삶에 대한 위로와 용기를 얻고있네요 예전엔 비현실적이게만 느껴지던 동성부부의 아이도 두분은 언젠간 정말 이뤄내시고 멋진아빠들이 되어있겠구나란 생각이 들어요

I wanted to wait with my commentary until I've seen the second part. I have now done so and can now comment. First and most importantly, congratulations. Even if your marriage can't be officially registered because the law doesn't allow it, I am so proud of you and happy for you. You are two amazing and wonderful people who love each other with heart and soul. I love your couple videos so much because you are an authentic couple who occasionally give an insight into your everyday life. No acting and pretending. Just two men who have been a couple for 10 years now and still love each other very much, even if there are arguments now and then. I hope you grow old together and continue to love each other so sincerely.
Here in Germany, same-sex couples have been allowed to marry legally for a few years now. I was so happy for the LGBTQ+ community that it even brought tears to my eyes. I wish for you and all the same-sex couples in Korea and all over the world that the law will finally change in your favor. After all, same-sex couples are nothing more than two people who love each other so much that they want to get married. No one should be forbidden to do so. Because love is love! And what could be more important than that? Best wishes to you both.
