- Focused on the significance of children's books and literature and why it is essential for the growth of our society. We often underestimate the importance of children's books and neglect the outcome produced from them. However, a child's imagination spreads into a wider range when they are exposed to quality content. Khyrunnisa A. is an award-winning writer of children's fiction and adults. She created the comic character Butterfingers and authored the Butterfingers series of books for older children. This character first made his appearance in the Indian children's magazine, Tinkle. She has written two books for adults, two collections of animal stories, and a short novel. Khyrunnisa is a full-time writer and lives in Thiruvananthapuram. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
