So I had been thinking about picking up the Aune AR5000 for awhile. Watched your review and others. Read a bunch about it. What sold me was an Amazon review praising the headphones (all for reasons I wanted it) and shouting out your tune for them for CoD. Your community is so wholesome. Lol. I didn’t know the internet could be so positive. Great videos, lots of knowledge and blessed with the most helpful and supportive community I’ve ever come across.
The only issue I have is that my ears kinda hit the drivers and the pads aren't that stable on the headphones. However even in spite of that I still think they're one of the best I have in my collection and they're still pretty comfy in spite of those issues.

This video somehow convienced me about the FiiO FT1 is the better / better value choice. Much better price, better materials, more premium feeling and different but more likely "my taste" sound profile. I dont really like wired things, but I would definetly go for the FiiO.
The FT1 is an amazing headphone! Even though I'm reviewing something "new and shiny", I'll never discredit other good products. FT1 is in deed an exceptional value.

Bro is like the Doctor of headphones he give you every details you need. if am gaming company i would hire him his feedbacks alone could make the deference between day and night. i was gonna get the corsair virtuoso max he saved me money and now am happy with my Maxwell.
How's the noise isolation compare with the Azurys? I've been on the hunt for a pair of closed headphones with tonality/detail retrieval similar to HD560Ss/HD600s for a while now, and how well it handles background noise (road trips, conventions) is a high priority for me.
Noise isolation is just okay. No real isolation advantages over the FT1 or Azurys. If anything I'd give the edge to the Azurys. Sennheiser HD 620S seems to have the best passive isolation, but the tuning is a bit different. Maybe the Bathys is a better bet if you can go that route

I've seen quite a few of your videos and there's always a lot of information and very transparent analysis of the sound, use cases, pros, cons and all around great value I find in your reviews. Currently I own a Beyer Dynamic TYGR 300r and I've been thinking about upgrading, but I still can't decide what to buy. The Aune AR5000 is a hot competitor, but it's the open-back design that limits me little bit. I play a lot of Escape from Tarkov and detail retrievel is what I'm searching for, along with a great neutral sound for music :)

Hey Joe I thought DMS daily drove the Sony MDR-CD900ST? He did a video on them and most people change the ear pads to the Yaxi pads cause the 900ST has a super thin ear pad by default. The only downside is that it is only sold in Japan but it is easy to get on Amazon. I have a pair of them but I don’t use the Yaxi pads even though I do have them. Ok keep up the good work.

I remember them from when I was a kid at this place called CD Superstore that would let you sample any cd before you bought it. I would listen to the music on the V6 but never got a pair but now Sony doesn’t make them.

I tried out that Headphone and it is indeed AMAZING for gaming...however, I found my Sennheiser 490 Pro to be slightly more comfortable and I was worried that these headphones wouldnt allow me to replace the ear pads so I went with the Sennhesier.

So I use the KB006X clone. Some people prefer the KB501 pinna clone which has its own advantages. You would need the rig with pinnas, an IEC 711 coupler clone, and a decent mic interface. On the cheap, you can use the Apple USB-C dongle, otherwise go with something like a Motu M2. @@r2d3vadar92 I do have HD820 which was before the acquisition. I kept it in the box due to the high impedance compatibility for casual use. I'd rather prefer ATH cups with open/closed and mesh/aluminum/titanium/magnesium options. ATH have the most beautiful vocal tunes.

I find it a bit too dark to tuned and treble recessed in favor of deep bass (bass sounds good though, just missing the high end to me)

So the FiiO FT1 is least impacted by glasses, then the Sony, then the Sennheiser HD 620S and AKG K371.

When you say music event, do you mean listening to live music from home? If so I would go with 490 Pro or the Sony MDR-MV1 (the open version).
