He never showed his health issue to the public. Smart man yet he also became so wise too as he got older.
His farewell song is beautiful 😢💙😭.
No other artist has ever made me feel as if “this guy is truly a genuinely good soul”. His interviews were as “regular guy” as you could get. They always say we are all replaceable, but Jimmy Buffett certainly isn’t. He was one of a kind.

Ny wife and I went to see Jimmy at Festival Hall, here in Brisbane, Queensland Australia. He blew the crowd away.

When i think of many of my favorite artists and bands it's a mix of light and dark. Not so with Jimmy Buffett. It's all light. Uplifting and intoxicating. Jimmy made songs that were bookmarks and milestones in my life. Only The Beatles and Paul McCartney had a similar effect. That's high praise and I mean it from my heart.
"Country music went to the beach!" so true about ZBB and that whole era of country music.

For a musician who partied a LOT in drink & weed for decades....Jimmy sure does have an amazing memory.
I've always loved Austin yet my heart ❤ grew in Key West since I was a teenage in 1970s.

Super bowl weekend and myself and a couple buddies were in the Brown Derby in Clearwater. John, a friend, looked a bit like Jimmy. There were two girls obviously tourist sitting next to us. John got up to use the restroom. After he had left, I asked the girls you know that's Jimmy Buffet right? They looked at each other and said who's Jimmy Buffet? I had to order another drink.

Great man!! He will be missed. My dad and friends use yo pick him up down town Key West and let’s say smoke a little wacky weed!! My dad and him became friends and we would do all his construction work in his KW houses!!! Even had to put the tile Manatees in his pool!! My step father gave Jimmy his first loan for a Boston Wahler !!! First State Bank of the Florida keys!! As a kid great memories and you never knew what he would do or just show up and play!!! RiP!!

Hate to say anything negative but... I went to see JB play baseball in the Groovy Grove (miami) when it actually was the groovy grove. Must have been 1977. It was a Sunday morning and he was playing BB with the guys from the Gap who I just happened to go to high school with. No one else showed up! I was the only fan there. After the game I asked one of the guys from the Gap if I could get a picture with Jimmy with my little one ten camera and Jimmy refused. "No photographs". Really Jimmy?

Margaritaville……again…the only song that the radio plays. He’s been active since 1964. 31 studio albums since 1970 and only 1 hit song.
Don’t mention the Cheesburger or 5 o’clock songs either because they suck.
I don’t dislike him but he’s been a one hit wonder since 1970…..that’s impressive!!
Actually "Pencil Thin Mustache" got a lot of play, when I first heard him and then "Come Monday" was huge with lots of radio at the time.
Come Monday got a lot of airplay and is a catchy tune. Son of a son of a sailor did well too.
