Actually, I am planning something similar. However, for aesthetic reasons, I will be using chipboard on the outside, attaching hinges a a door knob on each. I hadn't thought about using plywood between the crates, so thanks for that. I don't have room for a dresser in my bedroom, but I do have room for two of these side by side. I plan on at least three tall, attaching them to the wall. The chipboard will go on inside and outside, unless I decide to use several layers of cardboard put together.
Great video, thanks for the plywood idea.
No problem! Glad I could help!
You came back. Thanks for creating content .
This is the kind of video I needed... but I didn't know until I watched it.
Thanks a lot!!
Perfect timing, was just looking at building some organization for the crates in the 1 ton van I've been building out, loved the idea of all the smaller lights in their own single milk crate.
So smooth! Thanks for sharing man, you're always improving my workflow
Great tip. Love this way of organizing your gear. Thanks Dave!
Welcome back! Just recently used poultry brackets for the first time the other day and would love for you to do an episode on them! Super handy for those urban environments! If you need to borrow one for the episode lmk and we can link up in LA!
This is great, we have cube shaped milk crates here in Aus but i can use these tips and apply them to different crates i can find here locally. Cheers mate. Love the channel.
This arrived just in time for me.
Great ideas! Love this series
Wasn’t mine, just how it’s done here
Fantastic video! Great Daffy Duck Reference!
Ha! You know what’s funny? I’ve been saying that for years and totally forgot what it was from until now hahaha for that sir I thank you hahaha
Soooo cool thanks for sharing
HEY! HEY!!! You're back!!!
Bolt film solution ( the selling side of Bolt rentals in the bay area) makes plastic deciders and clips which can accept any 1/4in thick material
Send it and I’ll check it out
That's Crate!
i see you Patrick... i see you hahaha
almost at 100 episodes! nice
Only took a few years hahaha
Chloe sent me here
Tell her I said Hi!
Can you do a video on making safety chain?
Question! What are "Delkin Rods"?
Light socket adapters
Intellytech LiteCloth 2.0 Mega-LC
please do a review
Wait. Why didn’t you just screw the plywood on a lower point through the plastic? Wouldn’t that be much more stirdy?
You totally could I suppose. I think it’s done this way out here because the milk crates are usually rented through the grip dock on the backlot or a rental house. So that would probably get marked as L&D
Ty 4 video!
Very bad portrait lighting scheme( looks like lit from both sides(
i dig the amaran milk crate case, but the shipping to US is $40
Worth it, the guy laces up horse saddles for a living.
@@GripTips oh I bought it 😂 I just had to hem and haw for a minute
@@DeadManRunning1 truly is a great decision, and yea I totally get it. But it’s a good product. Probably not as mainstream but idk. I feel like home made product last longer. Could just be me. What did you end up getting?
@@GripTips just the double amaran case. Love how compact it keeps everything
You made me do it... What's a Delkin Rod? Google doesn't have the answer.
It’s a male light socket to baby adapter
Never heard that term before. Thanks!
@@PancakeLighting there’s an episode out there on it 😉
@@GripTips I’ve seen your video. Just don’t recall the term.
Everybody gets all excited about lights, cameras, lenses, and software but then neglects organization, functionality, and ergonomics.
I always watch your videos at 2X speed, anyway, because you look funny enough to be in Alvin and the Chipmunks, when you're hyped out. What keeps the milk cold? That placement of the screws and fender washers really sucks! Why didn't you go through the solid plastic area, instead of the lattice? Cool video. Thanks for the info! How's California treating you? You doing okay financially? I hear it's crazy expensive out there. I was stationed at the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps base in 1985. So we'd occasionally go to LA or San Diego for some fun (pussycat). At that time, California was SO COOL! Everybody I met was laid back and happy. I wanted to return after I got out of the USMC. But I never did. Man, am I glad now!? You got Paul Pelosi getting in a lovers' quarrel with his long-time butt-buddy Dave Depape. Your governor is _________. I have to leave that one blank, but it's not good. I hope it goes well for you.
…..what?! Hahaha
Dare to be different: skip the inserts in the milk crates by using any other type plastic bin without all the holes. Milk crates are Industry Standard, but why?
What do you recommend? Got a link? I’m guessing industry standard cause it’s probably the cheapest/ bigger bang for buck kind of thing
