The ACSS reticles (different variations of the ACSS concept) were designed to "hit" human targets sitting still, walking or running with a rifle. I'm surprised that the Democrats haven't banned these reticles as "evil." If the Las Vegas shooter had used these scopes, liberals would have made them disappear like they did bump stocks. What's that? Not one American turned in their bump stocks after the unlawful "ban?" We just created hundreds of thousands of new criminals that we need new prisons built to hold them all. Thanks to the Democrats for wiping their collective asses with the American Constitution. Don't worry about illegal migrants, worry about the Democrats...build the wall around California.
I have owned one of these scopes for about a year and use it on my 3 Gun rifle, it has gone through 2 majors is beat up and still works, although I just discover a limitation of the optic this past weekend, but that was due to unusual rules and divisions. Still love it and will continue to use it, hits to 550 and 600 are easy and I followed the manual for zeroing with 75gr bullets and tracks perfectly at the longer distance.
PA is the best bang for the buck for optics and the ACSS raptor is my favorite for both X39 and 7.62 NATO. You are at the limit for 5.56 and within 1 MOA with standard 55 gr practice ammo. GGG is a deal as well.
One thing that gives you even more flexibility is the Trybe 2x magnifier that can go right on the end of an LPVO. Lots of extra range or target visibility with that addition.
I bought one of these back in March and mounted it on a 5.56 carbine, but haven’t had a chance to get it to the range yet. I also own an earlier 1-6x ACSS SFP scope for my AK, and it works pretty decently (within the limitations of an AK); but I plant to remount it onto a .300 Blk SBR I have. I also own one of their micro RDS sights. I own several other much more expensive scopes from other brands which are mounted to bolt guns, but I’m fairly impressed with the quality of the PA scopes at their price point. Glad to know that the reticle actually works.
I have it on my LWRC and it is awesome. I love the fact that I can use it as a red dot for close quarters and as a scope and go to 4 or 5 hundred yards.

Ok need opinions. SFP or FFP? I have older eyes and so I am concerned about close distance work. How does the 1X reticle size compare to an Aimpoint Pro at 2 moa?
heres the main reason that made me choose the SFP over the FPP version of this optic, its reticle size at 1x. with the FPP version at 1x, the size of the reticle is very small to the point that the majority of people say its not feasible to use the reticle to hold over for any sort of range where hold over is required. that is ok since you will probably shooting at 4-6x power at any medium-long range anyways. with the SFP being the same size through each power, you lose the ability to use the reticles hold overs at powers other than 6x, but the size of the reticle is much larger at 1x which imo makes it easier to quickly get on target at a close range since you can just put the larger reticle on the target and shoot as its a little easier to find. well that and the price difference.
@@SneakyKittyGameDev Thanks brother. I could possibly see me running the FFP at close range at say 3X. I guess I really need to get behind each one without purchasing one of each. I shoot fine to 100 yds with an unmagnified 2 moa dot but beyond that I need help. I do lean SFP at this point. Thanks again. Have s great 4th.

I believe the larger reticle at 1x in the SFP will suite you well since at close distance you won't be using the BDC. At a distance you need magnification flipping it to 6x is probably what you'd do anyway so there isn't much of a loss. Some use a FFP scope's illuminated reticle as a red dot since it's that small at 1x.
Awesome shooting. Funny that your scope rings cost more than the scope or same. So we know it will shoot and retain zero. Will it take the abuse a Leupold Mark IV - VIII can take? Is it waterproof, can it handle extreme temperatures and does it have a no questions asked lifetime warranty?

Regarding durability, PA divides their product lines into entry/budget optics, mid-level and their premium optics, which are made to very high standards equivalent to the finest optic makers in the world. Even their budget stuff holds up remarkably well. As well as a $1200 Leupold? Probably not, but the PA optic costs a third that much. Compare one of their premium level optics and it'll compare to Leupold's finest in terms of features, materials and workmanship. The biggest selling point of the PA entry level line is their superb ACSS reticle, which has no peer in the industry at any price point. Even Trijicon was forced to license it from them because they had nothing to compare to it. But the Raptor 1-6x SFP ACSS is made to be mounted, zeroed and then used via the reticle. It isn't made to be dialed up-and-down constantly. Not that kind of scope. But if you need extreme precision, you aren't going to be getting a BDC-type scope anyway.
That kind of bums me out about the OSS suppressor being too loud at the ear. The company claims that it’s very quiet compared to their competitors at the ear. I bought one a while back about a year ago and still waiting on my tax stamp to clear.
