For anyone interested, I have an updated downloadable PDF pattern available on my Etsy shop : whimsicalcrochettt.etsy.com/listing/1665234802 As well as a moon phase pillow PDF digital pattern, which consists of this pillow as well as a full moon version. whimsicalcrochettt.etsy.com/listing/1667524832
If I wanted to make the corners of the moon go more inwards, what would be the best way to go about it? I was crocheting different jellycats for my friends birthday lol
Nice! Great job, I'm proud of you! Can you add a list of what the terms and acronyms you're using mean? For those of us super duper beginners? ;) Love you!
There is no sound:) I have a 1 year old daughter who is very attached to me and wouldn’t let me record, so I waited until she went to sleep but then you could hear my husband snoring😭🤣 after many attempts I just muted it😂
You sc2, increase, & then sc4, increase. Then continue to repeat sc4 & increase until the end of the round. Basically you’re throwing off where the increases land so that you can avoid getting those areas that point out if you increase at the same spot everytime
Hmmm, I’m not sure. Maybe you’re increasing every stitch? It should be 6sc in round 1, 12 in round 2, and 18 in round 3. Round 3 should be 1sc, 1 increase, repeat. Are you increasing every stitch?
Hey! I'm currently stuck at round 8. Is it sc2, inc, sc4, inc, repeat? I'm a bit confused right now. I would be really grateful to you if you coulfd help me out.☺️
You only repeat the (sc4, inc) the first “sc2, inc” in the beginning is just to throw off the placement of the increases, that way they don’t land on top of each other, and the moon ends up more round. So, sc2, inc. ⬅️ do not repeat. (Sc4, inc) ⬅️ repeat.
Thank you, the reason I didn’t is because I don’t count my stitches in general, I just make sure I have the right amount of sc (no increase) at the end because it’s easier for me that way. if it’s more helpful for others to count stitches, I’ll make sure to do that from here on out.
Round 10 is the (sc6, inc) repeat x13. Sc in the last stitch. It should total 105 stitches. Round 11 is sc3, inc. do not repeat that. (sc7, inc) repeat x12. Sc in the last 5 stitches. It should total 118 stitches. The reason I do that is to break up where the increases lay, that way it’s more rounded instead of boxy & pointy where the increases are.

this is by far my fav crochet tutorial on RUclips, it is so straightforward and easy. I wish you had more I like your style of explaining stuff!
Thank you! I do plan on making more tutorials as I do have a lot of patterns that I’ve created, it’s just been hard to find the time.
This would be great if you added how many stiches in total are there in each round but overall the video is very good and great to understand❤
Thank you! & Yes unfortunately I forgot to do that, but I have since written a pattern for it and I have the stitch count and everything on there.
@WhimsicalCrochet Thank you for replying, I finished this moon and it turned out so cute.❤
@@nadineselim7337 yay! If you have instagram I’d love to see it if you could send me a message! Mine is @WhimsicalCrochettt

Sc = single crochet
Inc = increase (2 single crochets in the same stitch)
thank you so much for this comment, I'm new in this and I don't know yet what that means, since English is not my native language
Thank you! ❣
You’re welcome 💕

Yes:) thank you!
Thank you so much sweetie!!!
For anyone who tried this and found the shape to look like a croissant and not a moon, try loosening your tension! does wonders
Mine keeps ending up like an actual crescent roll, I’m still learning so I’m not sure why
Hey, if you send a pic of what it’s looking like to my instagram I can try and help you figure it out. It’s @WhimsicalCrochet
Also, if you are new to crochet it might be a tension issue, try sizing down to a 8mm and see if that helps
Try to crochet more loose! It helped me and soon enough im sure you will find your correct tension
Hi. Is there sound to this video? I press the unmute area, but it remains silent.

I like you tutorial so much!! why no more videos? upload more tutorials.
For round 8 do you do sc4 or sc2 im confused it says both😅

In the 3rd round you made 18 sc but mine is 24 sc. Where am I making a mistake?

@@WhimsicalCrochet I finished it completely and it very nice, thank you
You’re welcome! So proud of you for making your own! I’m glad you were able to follow along❤️

I want to make this but don’t have chunky yarn, what would I have to do if I did it with 5.5 mm yarn?
You could try doubling up on the yarn, following the pattern but with 2 stands of yarn together.
So nice!! If I want the pillow to be bigger how should I expand it ?? Should I do all the stitches in reverse?
The pillow is roughly 12” tall, I’m not sure how to make it bigger while keeping it’s shaped but I will work on it and let you know once I do
@@WhimsicalCrochet thank you ❤️❤️❤️
you can use a thicker yarn and it’ll be bigger
Needs to have a stitch count for each round, otherwise great pattern and video

I’m really like videos your! I’m confuse round 11: 6sc, inc ?
Round 10 is the (sc6, inc) repeat x13. Sc in the last stitch. It should total 105 stitches.

How many grams did you use?
About 100 grams, maybe a tiny bit more.
How much yarn did it take to make this?
A little more than 100g of bulky 6
I made this, would you be ok if i put this on my etsy shop
Ofc, if you could just credit Whimsicalcrochettt as the pattern designer in the description that would be amazing.
@@WhimsicalCrochet yes ofc!! Ty
How much chenille do you need
I’m not sure the exact amount, but less than 100g, around 70g or 70 yards.
@@WhimsicalCrochet okay thanks
I'm just wondering how many skiens did you use?
A little less than 1 150g skein
